This was my first time with web trade in and it was a success. My only critiques is that they need to respond to email in a more timely manner and I would like to see them extending the quote for more than 14 days so customers can have more time to send them their old device

I rated my iPhone 14 Pro as “flawless”. Upon receiving my phone it was rated at 95/100 due to some barely visible tiny scratches by plug-in port and a few other scratches that they claimed were caused by my Otterbox cover that was put on day one. Screen was perfect. They offered $110 less than my original offer for a few tiny scratches barely visible to naked eye. Crazy! Interesting reply. Why compare my 14 Pro to a 13 Pro? Ahhh... now web trade-in has deleted their post which clearly stated that they compared my 14 pro to a 13 pro rather than responding to my question of why they would do that. Compare apples to apples!

Legitimate. Did the usual thing where these sites list higher prices than they want to pay. Then low ball you a little bit after they get your phone, it was expected. They took $50 off bc they said my mint condition phone was unlocked, but unlocked from T-mobile...so less valuable than I guess a unlocked phone bought directly from samsung.... kinda bs... but its always something. Other than that, these guys had good comms and sent the $ quickly via zelle.

Frustrating Experience with Unfair Pricing and Questionable Condition Assessments

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with this refurbisher, and I feel compelled to share it as a warning to others. I shipped them three iPads: two practically new M4 iPad Pros, each with fewer than five battery cycles, and a fifth-generation iPad Pro. I took great care to clean and pack each device myself, so I know they were in flawless condition when I sent them.

After waiting over a week, they finally inspected the devices, only to get back to me with revised offers, claiming that the iPads had scratches and downgrading them to a lower condition. This was shocking, considering the care I took before shipping. It’s hard not to feel suspicious about this sudden change in assessment, especially when they couldn’t provide any clear evidence of the supposed scratches.

To add insult to injury, they then applied today’s lower market prices, rather than honoring the original offer prices I received when I initiated the order. This means I’m losing at least $100 per device due to their pricing and condition changes. And getting in touch with them to resolve this has been a nightmare—they respond at a snail’s pace, sometimes taking more than a day to reply to each message, even if I answer immediately.

This entire process has left me feeling frustrated and let down. I’d strongly advise anyone to consider more trustworthy alternatives like GadgetPickup or BuyBackSurgeon, which seem to handle customer service and pricing with far more transparency and respect.

PS: I also want to highlight that this company went to great lengths to pressure me into removing my negative feedback from Trustpilot. They repeatedly offered me money in exchange for deleting my honest review. It felt extremely unprofessional and manipulative. While they are very skilled at justifying their actions, as evident in their detailed responses, I won’t stoop to their level by fabricating or distorting the truth. My experience speaks for itself, and I believe potential customers deserve to know what they might be walking into. Transparency matters more than any payout they might offer.
