The best B2C solar resource available...

A very unique approach compared to other companies. I got all the information I needed from here. A diamond in a ruff of solar salesmen and quirky advertisements. These guys do it right.

INITIAL IMPRESSION
Website can use a little work but they were probably focusing on back-end code. This is still a relatively new project but I can foresee massive facelift in the future.

FUNCTIONALITY
Everything was smooth from beginning to end and calculations only took seconds. The auto-design worked extremely well. I got the panel layout, shading reports, production reports, and pricing ; pretty much everything I needed, versus having a salesman sitting on my dinner table taking 2 hours to build a proposal (yes I've been through that). I will say, my roof is an easy one to design, and I cant imagine that this function will work on every house. There is a manual design option which will send your request to a designer. They advertise that this will take about 10 minutes.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
They have a live agent available via the embedded chat or an active phone line. I did not speak to an agent because I didn't need to (and I feel like that's what makes this special).

ACCURACY
A lot of information can be thrown out in solar. I've taken the liberty to compare the design and quoting data with other proposals I received from companies. The design I received through Twelve Energy appeared to be more conservative and suggested more panels, compared to the other 6 "designs" I received. This conservative approach is something I liked, since it advised me to get a larger system. The FAQ catalogue is also impressive, and they have a series of Youtube videos to go with some common questions. Very rarely do you come across a fully inclusive fact page. It was not cluttered, not a data dump, easy to understand, and I think they did well as a business-2-consumer resource.

Very Easy to Use

They headlined a quick, hassle free proposal that required no contact with an agent or sales rep. I received just that. A great piece of technology and very informative process. Truly impressed.
