All the pieces were in box. Doesn't look cheap. Came quickly.

The parts to the desk I bought were not manufactured properly. I asked for at minimum 1/2 of the refund amount due to the inconvenience and they wouldn't honor that.

We recently ordered over $300 worth of furniture from Tribe Designs via Amazon. We've placed countless orders to the exact same delivery address without issue. However, this one turned into a complete disaster—and a costly one.
According to the Amazon order tracking, the item was marked as “arriving next week.” But when we checked the actual courier tracking number buried inside the order, we discovered it had already been delivered a week earlier. Not only was the furniture dropped off days ago without any notification—it was left unattended on the street outside our apartment. A delivery photo confirmed this. Unsurprisingly, the parcel was stolen before we ever knew it had arrived.
When we contacted Tribe Designs, they refused to assist in any meaningful way. They told us to contact the courier ourselves and sort it out—even though they chose the courier and arranged delivery.
This is not just poor service—it may be a breach of Australian Consumer Law under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, enforced by the ACCC. Under these laws:
🚨 Potential Breaches of ACL by Tribe Designs:
Failure to provide goods as described
You paid for a product to be delivered to your door securely. Dumping it on the street doesn't meet this standard.
Failure to deliver goods with due care and skill (Section 60)
Sellers are responsible for ensuring delivery is handled properly. Telling the customer to chase the courier is not acceptable.
Misleading or deceptive conduct (Section 18)
The Amazon tracking information indicated the item was still en route, which misled us and delayed discovery of the theft.
Refusal to remedy a failed delivery (consumer guarantees breach)
If goods are lost or damaged before delivery is complete, the seller is legally responsible—not the courier, and certainly not the buyer.
This was a blatant failure of responsibility. A business that sells bulky, expensive items and cannot guarantee safe delivery—or even offer a resolution when things go wrong—should not be operating in the Australian market.
We've now filed a complaint with Amazon and will be lodging a formal complaint with the ACCC and NSW Fair Trading. If you've experienced something similar, I recommend you do the same.
Do not risk your money with Tribe Designs. A company that takes your money, delivers to the wrong place, and washes their hands of the issue is not a company you can trust.

I recently ordered a TribeSign corner shelf for my plethora of books as I own a TribeSign entry table and love it. When I received my corner shelf and opened the box, one of the pieces was damaged. I was pretty disappointed. However customer service was amazing and discounted the item due to the defective part. I still was able to be put the shelf together with the defective part. Everyone who sees the shelf absolutely loves it.

It's a five, with small reservations. Brilliant packaging, identification of parts/hardware, etc. Very good pictorial instructions. Nice piece of furniture when assembled, will be vary attractive and useful. Two suggestions:
Emphasize noting patterns of holes on parts pictured for correct installation orientation. Else it's easy to install parts upside-down or backwards.
Explain before any assembly instruction how lighting will be installed, because that affects positioning the cabinet for assembly.

This purchase was not the same quality as I expected it to be. I have purchased shelving from you and love it, but the bakers rack seems weak and wobbly. The first drawer is difficult to open and close now that it has been filled. I am disappointed. It does not live up to my expectations and due to my circumstances I must adapt to it; I cannot return it. Please consider strengthening this item.

Very bad service.
Order: TR1237FR.
Today, I received from Chronopost (after 1 week from the original « missed" scheduled delivery date) an SMS message that says that the parcel is at my disposal at a pick-up location.
This location is 1 hour and 30 minutes (by bus) from my original delivery address.
I think this is a « poor » situation you put me in, and it should depend on your agreement with the fulfillment provider.
I want to ask you the following:
Why are you obliging me to go pick up the parcel at a location 1.5 hours from the original given address? (Spending an amount of money equivalent the value of the good)
Why didn’t you deliver at my given address? (I blocked 4 hours of my time to wait at home the first missed delivery)
Why your express courier does not deliver to my home address?
Why are you so behind with the delivery?
Why did you communicate with me about delivery problems ONLY after I sent you many email notifications and not in a proactive manner?
Tribesign is in US I suppose; so I’m writing this in English.
Everybody has to know that they are risking losing a lot of their time and money buying from Tribesign.
Cheers
Mario Maso

The price was reasonable. The quality is fine. The biggest problem I had was putting the cabinet together. The directions were not clear . I could not look at the pictures and figure out how to get the drawers together. I called customer service and the rep was not able to help me very much. He told me there was not a video available to direct me. He was finally able to send me a video of how to get a basic drawer together but not for the cabinet in particular. It was harder putting the cabinet together versus the tribesign desk I purchased and put together.
