Trex the worst company

The worst customer service and product, we have had 40 square meters of trex decking installed for the last 4 years, this year it started to warp really badly. Customer service requested pictures which we sent, by pictures alone they say the decking has not been installed correctly. We used the trex fixings and the decking was installed by a professional company. I have asked in numerous occasions for them to send someone to take a look, but to no avail. Don’t not use this company, there guarantee means nothing.

Pest Resistant Does No Mean: No Ants

I love my 1week old new Trex Enhance Honey Grove decking. My contractor is the best in the business. The only thing that is throwing me is: Ants! I have a whole new treated pine foundation as well. With my last wood deck 21 yrs old, I had ants. Nature is nature and when weather warms, rains and they're thirsty they come. They could be falling with the leaves from the trees. However, I sweep all day to get leaves off and I never ever eat out there. These are not carpenter ants, I think. Can't spray just anything on composite decking but soapy water actually kills them. Be careful cause slippery. So bottom line is, 1 week and few days of sitting and not looking for ants to now on the prowl; therefore, "pest resistant" DOES NOT MEAN ANTS. Just saying.

Disappointed with sizing

Have purchased lengths of island mist. I purchased a mix of 3.6 and 4.8 metre lengths. The pattern was with the 3.6m lengths on one side, 2 lengths at a right angle and then the 4.8m lengths on the other. Despite using the trex hidden fixings and ensuring all boards were fitted tightly to these one side ended 2cm further out than the other. I checked everything and found that the 4.8m lengths were approx 2mm wider than the 3.6m lengths leading to a discrepancy at the end of the deck. Not very satisfactory for what is an expensive product.

Decking has gone black and warped

The guarantee is not worth Trex even advertising that they offer it.

Our grey composite decking has gone black and several strips have warped. Despite following Trex's guidelines, it won't clean.

Trex won't accept that there's a problem, even though we are well within the warranty period and have provided several photos.

We are extremely disappointed.
