I really like the therapist that I was referred to by several people. Laura Borell is an excellent therapist! She takes the time necessary to learn about her clients.

My therapist is great and listens to me and really helps me. The only thing I don’t like is that I wish the sessions were longer than an hour. Cause I feel like by the time I’m really getting to the part where it’s “getting good” time is up and by the time I have the next session I’ll probably been done forgot where we left off at.

From billing mishaps, to dealing with god awful clinicians, I wish I could get my money back. The time and money I have spent trying to deal with my anxiety and depression, it feels like I have gotten worse. The most notable example with this is when I requested a letter of support from my psychiatric nurse practitioner through email. She responded with a horribly typed answer, stating no. Afterwards, I had an appointment that I was late for around 10 minutes, due to having bowels problems she knew about, and decided to charge my card $135 for a no-call, no-show fee despite attempting to contact her numerous times, only to be forwarded to voicemail numerous times. After talking to the billing department, they’ve stated that the was no possible way to reverse the bill because she was the one who placed the bill.

My providers have been amazing. The billing office has fraudulently billed my insurance for the wrong code for every visit this calendar year and I'm still working on how bad and how long for years previous. Thrive has threatened collections on me due to their own error, multiple times. The providers are not at fault in any way. I've tried resolving this with their billing office many times and yet here we are.

I had a simple error with my insurance; and instead of advising me I was charged over a grand to my card. I did all the legwork, called both billing my insurance and my employer to resolve the issue.
At no point have I had any care or meaningful help from the so called billing team. I had to miss appointments, I had just bought a house and had to throw a/c units on my card to make it through and THIS CHARGE tanked not only my credit score but also my own mental health.
The fake pretending to care is ridiculous. I’ve emailed. I’ve called. I spoke with Faye who is an idiot and can’t properly understand what a deductible is. Joclyn never called me back after I escalated. I have time stamped calls, paystubs proving I was paying for coverage, a long history of prompt full payments and the BEST I was offered was a “payment plan” for the money that DOESNT EVEN BELONG TO THRIVEWORKS. I have proof of deductible payment for those appointments.
I have multiple documents that I offered to send in and not a single rep wanted to see them.
It wasn’t until the end of a call that Joclyn mentioned to send in a picture of my new card. which was apparently enough even though two prior calls with Cigna weren’t??
And now I hear I can talk about a refund in 30-45 days when the claims process.
There’s absolutely no care for the health of the patients when money comes into play.
I loved my practitioners but I won’t be paying a single cent to such a backwards company.
No partial refund in good faith. Nothing.I'm actively going to tell everyone I know not to use Thriveworks.

Cheryl is a wonderful therapist who creates a calm, safe, and judgment-free space to talk and share openly. I appreciate the balance she strikes between listening with empathy and gently prompting me with questions that help me explore my emotions more deeply and understand their roots. I always look forward to our sessions.

Overpriced waste of time. The “therapist ” and I use that word very lightly. Was no help what so ever, dismissing me. Telling me it was “very expensive” to get an assessment done. And printing off google documents and sending me Ted Talks to watch. I have google too, waste of money and my time. I can do these things myself, and for free mind you. Won’t return, they’re also really shady with the money, they love to overcharge you and make excuses as to why they overcharged you.

If you can get past the language barrier you'll be met with incompetent individuals. They constantly want to verify who you are even though they can give you no information. I was told I had a meeting and 24 hrs prior to meeting time it took 40 minutes on the phone to find out my appointment wasn't scheduled. I don't blame the therapists. But going through a broker like thriveworks is a joke. You are better finding someone with who you can deal with directly. They have no direct line to therapists. They have no information on scheduling. They are just a bloated marketing company.
Beware!!!

SCAM ALERT !!!!
Thriveworks is a scam! DO NOT USE THEM they are NOT a legit company and they WILL deduct money from your account, unlawfully and you will not have any further ongoing appointments, the whole establishment is a SCAM.
You will NOT have an appointment, once they get access to your account they will keep deducting. If you do get a meeting, you will only get the initial meeting, it’s part of how they trick you, then they make fake appointments moving forward and charge you false no show fees. Even if you reach out to support about the mistake on their end they do nothing, they lie and can’t keep their story straight. They said they would issue a refund and when I asked for it in writing they said they were not able to. I asked for the name and date and time they supposedly be issuing me a refund and they said the name of the associate was “J” nothing else. They are LIERS!!
We have filled a police report, and the police have confirmed this IS A SCAM, and we are now working with the bank to get our money back!!
DO NOT USE THEM.
YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY and will never meet with a therapist. They are a SCAM !!!!!!

Thriveworks makes unauthorized charges on whatever card is on file with them. Taking food out of my child’s mouth!! I’ve had to report fraud on their charges twice now. They only sent me a bill 2 days ago & I was waiting until we got paid to pay it because we only had $100 to last us 10 days until payday & they overcharged my card! Leading to fees on top of that w/ our previous bank. I’m seeing a therapist for PTSD, do I really need this added stress on top of it?!?! We are struggling enough! Therefore, I will be ending all services with them. The therapists “specialize” in all kinds of things, but all they offer is talk therapy, so I’m not really getting any tools other than “write it all down in a journal”. That’s not to say I don’t love my latest therapist, or that I haven’t worked through a few things. I’m just in need of more tools than they to offer. If I could pay my therapist directly, now that I would. I trust her far more than Thriveworks. She’s the only reason Thriveworks gets 2 stars. She herself is amazing.
**Your office has already contacted me & they’re telling me that they’re within their authorization policies, but blaming my credit card company for allowing the charge. Telling me to take it up with the credit card company. I most definitely already have & Better Business Bureau as well. Neither the tech on the support line nor the person who emailed me about the situation had any empathy & refused to refund the money or cancel the transaction. Your reply makes it sound like there will be resolve on your company’s side, but there won’t be. I have screenshots & emails to show & will be uploading them to BBB as well. All of this has a very predatory feel to it.

Unautharized charges to my card. Billing could not explain charges and refused to refund them. This company is absolutely fraudulent with its practices. Therapist, Alexandra Cromer, was of no help nor did she care. Psych NP Emma Boateng was a quack. I've canceled all services with this company.

I contacted a therapist through Psychology Today. My cousin is a counselor and posts her availability on this site and I felt it was trustworthy. Beware and make sure the therapist does not work for Thriveworks. I was informed I would have a small co-pay and they would accept Medicare's payment. They charged me $380.00. I read on another review that they will charge for cancelled visits. I had to cancel my debit card, issue a dispute and change all of my payment information on all of my accounts. I should have looked at reviews before trusting them.

I had a virtual session scheduled with a psychiatric nurse practioner, allegedly supervised by an actual MD. She wasted 45 minutes of my time and probably charged her time too my insurance carrier. She was utterly worthlesss.
She went on to refer me to psychiatrist Mustafa Hussain, who I know personally, and provided me with a phone number no longer in service.
Thriveworks is a SHAM!

This company has the worst customer service ever!!! The representatives here are not customers service friendly and very Apathetic to your situation or the reason you are calling. You can call 100 times in a day regarding an issue or a concern and each representative spoken to will give you a different answer without a resolution. I have never experienced such poor communication and service with a company. It appears to me that this company is most concerned about their earnings than the wellbeing of their customers/patients/clients. Shame on you owners of thriveworks. Do better!!!!
