Look for other options to avoid headaches
First, the sale was going well until it came to the money part. I purchased a vehicle with cash and asked for an accurate amount to wire the appropriate funds. However, when I sat down with their transaction representative, I noticed an additional $200 charge. I questioned it, and he was very adamant that it was an estimate initially provided to me. After comparing line by line, I noted that he had added another fee of $200. He tried to convince me that it was correct, but I insisted on clarification. He then admitted it was an EV fee for an electric car, but I pointed out that the car I bought wasn’t electric.
While we were discussing this, he quickly ran my card without my approval. He promised to refund me the $200, stating it would take a few days. The following business day, I wired the remaining balance owed, and they confirmed receipt of all the money that was signed and agreed upon. However, a couple of days later, I followed up on the refund, only to be told that I owed them $300. It was frustrating because they had initially owed me money.
They pointed out that a $500 deposit I made a week earlier to hold the car while they completed repairs was included on the final statement. However, they claimed the $500 was only a hold and had been credited to my account. While I acknowledge I might have owed something, it was uncomfortable dealing with people who were not on the same page and had made financial mistakes that affected my budgeting based on what I was told.
That wasn’t the worst part. I was so upset that I went to look at other places the same day I was told I owed them, and I found the same vehicle, which I purchased. That evening, I texted the salesman to cancel my purchase and to refund me, which should not have been a problem since I still didn’t have the car; they were still making repairs, and by law, they had to refund me.
Well, that was a Tuesday night, and the following day, I didn’t hear from anyone. I had to call the dealer to check on my refund. They mentioned they processed it at 2:00 PM that day. I left it alone and followed up again on Friday with a straightforward email. It was during this follow-up that I received a response with images indicating that the refund had been processed right after my email. It took them three days to process my refund.
What’s more upsetting is their dishonesty. They initially claimed they had refunded me on Wednesday, but when I confronted them, they lied again and said they had to wait for a wire to clear, even though a wire typically clears in less than 24 hours. It's frustrating to deal with this type of customer service. I would advise others to avoid this dealership to avoid similar headaches.

Tiffany made this purchase go well
Tiffany made this purchase go well. Having never purchased a car totally online before I was a little nervous.
What would have made this a 5 star review would be help understanding the procedure that happens after they receive the payment. Instead they went a little silent after getting the funds.
However Tiffany was quick to reply and always let me know what was going on when contacted her.

From the moment we spoke to Rachael to the end, when our car was delivered. Our experience was very positive. Rachael was extremely patient and helpful while we chose our vehicle. We purchased a Lexus UX, our Lexus arrived earlier than expected and my wife loves the vehicle we purchased. We’ll definitely go back to ThisCar on our next purchase.

DO NOT buy an EV from them if you want…
DO NOT buy an EV from them if you want the $4000 used electric vehicle federal tax credit. They will tell you it's your responsibility to claim it on your taxes, but that is NOT correct. Dealer has to submit VIN to IRS within 3 days of purchase and provide buyer with form 15400 Clean Vehicle Seller Report or you loose the ability to claim IRS rebate. Unacceptable that they either do not understand the used car credit (it's been around for almost 2 years now) and are misinforming buyers or they are just plain lying to buyers. Both are unethical business practices.

Personalized Service
You made a fair offer in a timely manner. You also called me to make sure everything was acceptable. None of the other dealers called. This is probably more important to those that are over 50. The younger ones never had personalized service.

I recently purchased a 2024 Buick Envista from This Car LLC, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The car's sleek design and modern features caught my eye immediately. The staff at This Car was attentive and patient.
I had a trade-in with a complicated situation. Mike was able to get me the more money than any other dealership in Houston.
What truly set this experience apart was the exceptional staff at This Car LLC. From the moment I submitted a lead interested in a car to when I walked into their location in Tomball, they were incredibly attentive and supportive. They took the time to understand my needs and preferences, ensuring I found the perfect vehicle. Their professionalism and dedication made the entire process smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend This Car LLC for anyone in the market for a new or used vehicle!
