We just completed 3 years as tenants with Tates. They were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout - managing communications with the landlords and seeing to any repairs that were needed to the flat. Vanessa helped us whenever anything went wrong - no issue too small or large, and she always followed up on repairs very proactively. And when we needed help on things outside her remit, she always had a kind word and helpful advice. It was an absolute pleasure to work with the Tates team!

I am looking to purchase a property close to this agent. Call them for advice on asking price, and potential rent I can achieve and also if they would be interested in managing the property for me. Vanessa was rather rude saying they are not a consultants but estate agents... Well... definitely lost my business and if I end up purchasing this property which is very, very close to their office I would definitely look for other agents to manage it for me.

I had been trying in vain to get through to Egypt Air, whose office is down the road from Tates in Hammersmith. Starting to worry that the office wasn’t even open, but getting desperate to speak with them due to imminent travel, I resigned myself to having to travel up to london from the Isle of Wight. I saw on Google map street view that the Tates office was nearby, and on an off chance that someone there might know if the EA office was open, phoned them to ask. I got through to Vanessa, who patiently listened to my long winded explanation. She said someone could pop down to check for me, which was even more than I had hoped. She herself did go down, and asked them to call me, which they did, but I missed their call! And needless to say when I called back no luck! So in a moment of sheer desperation I called Tates back, and asked Vanessa if she could go back and ask them to ring me back now that I would be available. She could have told me to sling my hook, as she was at work, but she again without hesitation did as I requested. I am forever grateful to her for being SO helpful and understanding of my situation. I know this isn’t at all related to buying or selling a house with Tates, but if I lived in London and needed an estate agent, this experience would make me consider them a good bet.

I gave Tates the full management for my fully furnished studio to be back to my apartment 10 years later and found it empty apart from a sofa bed and 2 cupboards. Everything had been taken away, not 1 penny as compensation for having to buy again chairs, table, microwave....even a personal painting had been removed without my consent. I strongly advice owners in the area to avoid renting through Tates, they are the worse of the worse.

personal service from small agency. All the staff at Tates we’re very helpful in the rental and sale of my flat in Wedt Kensington. They really know the local market.
