I went to Synlab Riddargatan 1, Stockholm. I told the nurse I am afraid of needles, which she ignore, and aggressively took the test at the same time she asked me "What is the problem?"
She claimed they had people waiting.... there were three people in the waitingroom

I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with Synlab(Währing). Two weeks ago, I took my son for a blood test, including a checkup and allergy test. They assured me they would email the results. After waiting for two weeks and not receiving an email, I called them, only to find out they never had my email and had instead sent the results to my son's doctor. When I finally went to the lab to collect the results myself, I was told the blood sample wasn't sufficient for the allergy test, and I was never informed earlier. This was incredibly frustrating, especially since I have an upcoming doctor's appointment and needed those results. The staff was unhelpful and rude, adding to the frustration. Overall, a very negative experience and I do not recommend this lab.

Inaccurate and incomplete test, doubts about quality
Poor service at Vienna Donauzentrum SynLab, which makes us also doubt the quality of the work. Half of the required tests were not performed and the patient's personal data was not recorded correctly, resulting in incorrect test results which were sex-related. The staff of the call center asked us to come again for an additional test, as if this was absolutely normal. After we noted dissatisfaction, she found it was appropriate to send an apology :) but did not offer any compensation.

Inefficient and ill informed staff. Very bad customer service
The Victoria island branch of Synlab is pathetic with highly unprofessional and ill-informed staff. Please check with other labs before even thinking about this expensive and useless one.
They took the sample after promising us that the results will be available in 24 hours. That was an urgent test and my further medical investigations depended on it.
No results were provided within the promised time frame.
When we reached out to them they casually mentioned that the sample was sent to Turkey and result should take 7 to 10 days.
When we questioned them about misinformation, the answer was - "Sorry o!"
The casualness towards clients who usually are undergoing a medical condition and the foolishness of the staff employed makes this branch a complete No.

Onlinebefunde portal in Vienna/Austria is not working (Axios problem, whatever that is) and results were needed urgently. No one to call at weekend, nor no reply to email. Very poor.

Poorly explained results from Harmony test
We did the Harmony (NIPT) test with Synlab. The results all came back in time and the experience of taking the blood test was fine. However, the results delivered were not well explained. There was no explanation of the different risk levels, and no probabilities were provided. Also many of the terms on the test paper were not explained - use of acronyms etc. We felt that patients should be provided with results that they could clearly understand, and this was not the case.

Couldn't take a blood sample from a 9 month old
Yesterday (10.08.22) I attended Synlab laboratory in Tallinn, Estonia to have the blood sample taken from my 9 months old daughter. This was supposed to be a very delicate procedure, because it was the very first time for her. The blood sample was expected to be taken from the vein on the arm.
The whole experience turned into an extremely traumatising and stressful event for my baby and myself. First of all the nurse who was assigned to take the sample could not locate the main vein on my daughter's arm. After struggling for a while she stuck the needle in, but she missed the mark. Needless to say that all this time I was trying to distract my little one, because as a grown up I understand how painful of a process this is.
Realising that she is not succeeding in her task and it turned to be too difficult, the lady called in her colleague. As the damage was already done to the arm, they tried the other one. To my unpleasant surprise she also failed to find the vein and even tried to move around the needle while it was stuck in the baby's arm. It is beyond comprehension to explain how painful and stressful this is for such a small child who screams in pain without understanding why someone is inflicting harm to them.
The most outrages part of this experience is that they eventually failed to take the blood sample. Both of the ladies did not talk to me throughout the whole experience, they never apologised and I simply left their facility, because this was unbearable. I'm not a monster who will torture my child just to get a blood sample.
If they were inexperienced and unable to complete the task then there is no shame of admitting that they simply cannot do it and either call someone more experienced or direct us to another Synlab facility instead.
I am appalled at the lack of professionalism and incompetence of the nurses. This should have not been so damaging morally and physically to such a young baby and me as a mother.

Test results paid but not wholly delivered
My husband paid for blood tests and they gave us only part of the results. He had to undergo a second test and then he discovered that they had forgot to give him the full results (and paid twice). I protested both on their form and by mail AND THEY DID NOT EVEN ANSWER.
Horrible service indeed.

Just a totally incompetent company in…
Just a totally incompetent company in my experience. I set up 2 Covid rapid antigen tests for my family in Medellin Colombia for travel back to US two weeks in advance of the appointment date. I verified in advance by email that they would give us results within 4-6 hours. I verified with Synlab headquarters and their local lab in writing and verbally. We took the test at 9:00am and NEVER received a response that day. I had to arrange new tests that evening at 11:00pm for travel the next morning. Synlab sent the results 2 days later! I asked for our money back and they said they would “investigate”. I received a letter 10 days later they will not refund our money and they did nothing wrong. They are worse than worthless in my opinion since they are NOT reliable or reputable and do not stand behind their own guidelines.

They said they do a Travel PCR test result to travel, dont use them because what they give you is worthless at the airport in Prague - trust me they will not let you fly, they should also link the result to the Czech Tecka but they dont so it is a worthless waste of money

I had to have a test following a minor accident. Having taken a co codamol 2 days before it showed up as an opiate. TWO WEEKS and no work later it’s been a machine broke down. Oh it’s an irregular reading to it will be done when it’s done. THIS IS PROPLES LIVELIHOODS.

What can I say.. apart from beware !!
Arrived at Synlabs Marbella on a Friday to get a COVID test to return to uk told to return on Saturday given no instructions what to bring, or any idea of costs. Returned Saturday as instructed told the test were at least double because it was a weekend the person on the reception really was totally rude, it was like it or not attitude, we had to continue as we were flying early Monday if we were told of this on the Friday we would have had the test then
I have been coming to Spain for nearly thirty years and never experienced a rude Spanish person. This person was a disgrace
I do understand that these times are difficult and honestly believe that most Spanish people want tourists back but to fleece them like this is a disgrace and if this is the policy that Spanish laboratories are taking I really hope the government authorities shuts them down quickly. Maybe British people should stop going to Spain until this new type of highway robbery is stopped

Misleading, uncooperative, incompetent and totally inconsiderate organization - SYNLAB.com
I wrote the below to SYNLABS, and they REFUSE to investigate or assist. Instead they have directed me to the portugal ombudsman...
"Dear Synlab,
I am not happy with your response. We arrived at the airport ahead of time so that we could resolve our booking issue.
We walked directly into the SYNLAB offices in the Terminal at Lisbon airport before our appointment. We did this so that we could resolve the below issues:
a) The incorrect airport was chosen and I did not how to change it and
b) I was unable to “add another person” - this option was greyed out on the app therefore I made 2 bookings on my own name and prepaid 60 euros for this
When we consulted a SYNLABS employee, a gentlemen at the SYNLAB office in the Terminal, he informed us that this was not a problem. His exact words were “It doesn’t matter where the appointment was made, they will fix it for you downstairs” He then directed us downstairs to the parking lot.
After waiting in line at the SYNLAB test area in the parking lot of the Lisbon airport, we finally got to a woman who then informed us that we would have to pay for the new appointments in cash as she did not now how to change it in the system. She stated also that this too was not a problem, and that we can merely ask for a refund by emailing "g***@synlab.pt and t***.m****@synlab.pt” . She printed out these addresses for us to email.
So not one but TWO of your employees mislead me into believing that my incorrect bookings were not an issue and could be resolved, or that I would get a refund if I pay for the new appointments.
I implore you to please consider carefully all of these facts, consult the SYNLAB employees in question and refund my money as this is the right thing to do."

That was really stressful experience…
That was really stressful experience with Synlab. The first thing, no one by phone or at local laboratory (where I took test) speak English. Interesting, because this is an international company. After test the worker informed me that "resultado" "Maniana" so I assumed that result will be tomorrow. I took test Thursday to be sure that on Saturday is ready. But even on Saturday the result was unavailable, which caused need to rebook flight a day later and take next test at airport !! It cost me 200 euro to rebook tickets, 150 euro 1 night hotel costs, 60 euro new tests. And not received PCR test 198 EUR (me and wife). Never again, please avoid Synlab with pcr test. HELPING CUSTOMERS
I booked and had a PCR test in Rimini. It was asked to access their website and find my results myself the following day. At check-in in Milan, the evidence of a negative test was not accepted being in Italian. I phoned Synlab to ask to email me the English version, they refused to help. In order to be able to travel I had to take a taxi to go off the airport to have another PCR test done. With time constraint it became rather stressful, luckily I made the flight.
I am writing in the hope it can help other passengers to chose the correct lab. where to have these expensive test carried out and have the English version certificate.

Great value Antigen Test for travel
Keen to ensure that we had the right test for returning to the UK, went back to Porto Airport the day before our flight and queued for an hour for their Rapid Antigen Test. All very straight forward (up your nose, brought tears to my eyes) and simple, for only 30 euros each. Results emailed in less than 30 mins but also got them via their app which will be useful for future travel as they have labs throughout Europe.
