Exceptional Stay at Swissotel Makkah – Kaaba View Worth Every Moment!

We recently stayed at Swissotel Makkah and had a wonderful experience overall.

Check-In & First Impressions:
Check-in was efficient and the staff were warm and friendly. However, there were long queues due to the standard 4 PM check-in time. I highly recommend contacting the hotel in advance to request early check-in — it makes a big difference, especially to avoid crowds. If you’re an Accor member, the experience can be even smoother.

Ambiance & Cleanliness:
From the lobby to the corridors and into the room, the hotel maintains a consistent and pleasant signature fragrance that adds to the relaxing atmosphere. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and welcoming.

Room Quality:
Our room was spacious and extremely comfortable, and the Kaaba view was truly the highlight of our stay — spiritually uplifting and visually stunning. The bed linens were soft and luxurious, and the air conditioning was just right, providing the perfect escape from the heat outside. It made returning to the room feel refreshing and relaxing.

Room Amenities:
The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a coffee/tea station, quality toiletries, and more. All the essentials were thoughtfully provided.

Location & Accessibility:
One of the standout features of Swissotel Makkah is that the lobby is located on the ground floor of the Abraj Clock Tower, so guests can access their rooms directly via the guest lifts — no need to change elevators like in some other hotels in the same complex. This makes a big difference, especially during peak times.

Service & Hospitality:
The staff was very accommodating and even offered us a late check-out while we waited for our continued stay at Swissotel Al Maqam. That flexibility and hospitality made a lasting impression.

Would I stay again? Absolutely.
If you’re visiting Makkah, I highly recommend Swissotel Makkah for its unmatched views, comfort, location, and excellent service.

Bodrum Resort

Amazing experience at Bodrum Swissotel Resort!!! We have never been looked after as well as here. Every single detail for our stay was accommodated by super friendly and helpful staff - Maryam, Kybra, Alif Allara, Cemil and Javid. Due to ill health I knew we would have limitations, but we were given a genuinely invaluable support and service throughout , from welcoming and accommodation to suggestions on places to visit. Allara and Javid made us feel at home on the day we arrived after a long 6 hour journey
Cemil and Kubra went an extra mile and managed to arrange a sweat treat for us I never tried before. Maryam is a superb host who made us feel so comfortable and put us at ease by leaving us with a smile every time we stopped by. The room and cleaniness are top notch. Amazing sunset view from the top floor. This is to name a few. We are so pleased with the place and the customer relationships services team here, we decided to come back again in September. Cannot thank the team enough to say how grateful we are for everything. Hopefully, this review will reach the Management echelons and the team ework will be duly acknowledged.

Swiss Hotel Makkah

Swiss Hotel Makkah
4 adults squeezed into a room for 2 persons, with towels etc provided for 2 people only. (We had to request for extras).
There was no space to walk in the room as there was also luggage for 4 people.
There was no space in between the beds either as 2 extra beds had been added into the room…. so basically felt like we were all sleeping on one big bed.

Swissotel Sydney on market street is AWFUL.

Swissotel Sydney on market street is a dump. The rooms are grey with pealing wallpaper and cold white paint covering the mould and dated interior. If you’re going to spend the money spent it anywhere else. The Fullerton has dated interior but is enjoyable to stay at with convenient parking and actual luxury. The staff at the Fullerton are helpful and considerate. The staff at the Swissotel treat you like you’re staying in a motel. It appears that Swissotel and Accor have spent more money on marketing than actually maintaining a fake 5 star hotel. The bedding is threaded. The towel robes are loosing threads, are degrading and look grey and dusty. Under the beds are dusty and gross. There is a layer of dust and grime on the surfaces. Swissotel Sydney is not a luxury hotel, It’s a scam. I have stayed in highway motels with more luxury and better trained staff. Swissotel is horrible. The bath was small. The room service was inedible. The Swissotel has no modesty locks on the doors. Neither chain or swing bar modesty locks. The bedroom kitchenette has a leaking fridge and a degrading plastic kettle. There are stains on the curtains. Swissotel Sydney is a scam and is disgusting. Avoid Accor properties! Gross. horrible. Avoid this scam.

Stayed at Swissotel Al Marooj in Dubai.

Stayed at Al Marooj in Dubai.
Very dirty ! Moved room 2 x as rooms still not made up from last customer and given to us and still ended up with a low standard accommodation. Food was fairly nice however the Restaurant serving was literally falling apart.
Was listed as very close to the Main shopping Mall in Dubai central.
It was nearby but not near enough. You have to negotiate multi lanes of traffic in a very fast environment using Traffic/pedestrian crossings that leave you very vulnerable in 40° Heat. There are better nearer Hotels at same price .
Will avoid at all cost again!

Booking & Room issues

We stayed in Swissotel for 6 days, 5 nights. Upon arrival, our flight landed shy of 3 AM, and we arrived at the hotel from the airport at around 5:30 AM. One week prior to our stay, we requested an early check-in. Our check in apparently wasn’t until 4:30 in the afternoon. So we had to wait. We have stayed at Swissotel many times, we are regular customers of the same hotel, and almost every time we stay we have some sort of issue, one time it may be a cancelled booking, another time its a room booking issue, now this. On day 2 of our stay, at midnight exactly, a guy along with the concierge, comes into our room when me and my family were asleep. It turns out the concierge opened our door using his master key card which can be used to open any door. This was extremely appalling for us and we notified the manager about this who didn’t do anything but say “sorry”.

Our stay has been dreadful. I think its safe to say we will no longer be a customer of Swissotel hotels due to this constant spiral of issues that concur upon every stay we have here.

Overcharge

My husband prepaid for our room for our anniversary. When it was time to check out they charged us for the room again. When my husband asked about the charges, they said it would be removed from our card. However they took the money out of our account anyway. My house call several times and asked to speak to the manager. However they wouldn’t let him talk to the Manager they told us to just leave a message and someone will return our call. No one has not called us back and it has been four days. I will never go to Swissotel again. This hotel is expensive and I don’t have 1,121.00 to just give away. Swissotel you should be ashamed of yourself the way you conduct business. They were happy to take my money early, but would not return the money that they took.

Not yet checked in at 10pm

We are a group of pilgrims booked on Swissotel Makkah.
It's 10pm. Our rooms all 78 rooms were bound through Nusuk app.
Everyone is waiting for their room.
They are taking ages to give from keys.
Our agent has been here nine hours dragging with staff.
Shameful experience

Swissotel Dubai Al Murooj,

Swissotel Dubai Al Murooj,

The worst customer service, and all facilities are useless as nothing is working… Midnight one of the restaurants had fire, all smell from the fire came to our room. We started coughing and couldn’t sleep, we had to leave the Hotel by midnight 12:30 with sleeping kids. Hotel only telling how they can’t give us our refund back, nothing on checking up on how we were doing or if we are ok.
Such a bad service. Even calling the next day, as soon as I gave them the room number we stayed in, they just hang up.
Overall not even clean hotel, so dusty room, and pool area not clean a all.

Fabulous holiday wonderful hotel outstanding staff.

Spent 2 weeks at this wonderful hotel in Hurghada leaving 16th February. Have no complaints at all. Staff, food, accomodation excellent. There is a spa, beauty salon with hairdressing on site. A lot of the rooms have been renovated and the pools and outside areas first class. Great holiday for children as well as adults. Beach bar, pool bars and 2 Al la Carte restaurants run by the amazing Yasmin. We did the all-inclusive option which was excellent value for money. The staff make the hotel all very hard working and go out of their way to make your stay memorable. We stayed in the garden complex across the road from the main hotel quieter own pool and bar. The rooms are a little dated but spotlessly clean and will be updated soon. Hunghada is a wonderful destination on the Red Sea and the hotel has its own beach and bar loads of sun beds. We plan on going back again next year for at least a month.

Swissotel Patong Manager

Swissotel Patong, Phuket
The hotel, staff and food are top notch. However. my wife and I were in the gym when the apparent hotel manager walked in. She rudely asked me if I were her (my wife) trainer..I said no..she is better at training me. She rudely asked me if the phone worked, all the time giving us a degrading look. We were dressed nicely and did not need nor deserve her condescending tone. She stared at us for several minutes and then asked if we used the supplied towels, in a tone as if we were not supposed to. Walking around us, staring like we were trash, she leaves, almost slamming the door shut. We are not easily intimidated, but this woman had the tone of a junk yard dog. Avoid this hotel at all costs. She unfortunately ruined perfection.

Good customer service

I always love brands and companies that are willing to acknowledge when they've made a mistake and then do something to make it right. After a less than great customer service experience with someone on their team, I reached out via Facebook to the hotel to express my dissatisfaction and ask for help solving my issue. They responded very quickly and with empathy. I will continue to recommend this hotel to visiting friends and family, and I appreciate what they did to make things right.

Felt at home

The staff at Swissôtel Resort in Phuket was extremely nice, always smiling and greeting us when we arrived at or left the restaurent area. The breakfast buffet was like nothing I've ever tried, and we were excited for the next breakfast the second we left the table.
Besides that the pool was huge and lovely and the beach only a 5 min. walk away, so we always had a nice and easy way to cool down.
The only little catch was the sink in the bathroom which was plugged when we arrived, but we fixed it easily. All in all, a great experience, one we'll never forget.
