I used SuretyBonds.com
I used SuretyBonds.com to obtain my Texas notary bond. They delivered it quickly, and the process was mostly straightforward—so I do appreciate that. However, I ran into a frustrating issue when it came time to enter the bond info on the Secretary of State website: two different agencies with the same name (“Brooklyn Ventures”) showed up, each with different agency codes, and no clear way to know which one to select.
This caused a lot of unnecessary confusion and wasted time. For new notaries trying to follow a precise process, having identical agency names and auto-populated codes without guidance isn’t ideal. I eventually figured it out, but better instructions or labeling would’ve made a big difference.
Overall, the service was fast and reliable—but the experience could be improved with a little more clarity. 3 stars.
