Wrong size and terrible return policy

After providing the model and serial number, the part provided by SubZero parts still did not fit my refrigerator. I paid over $300.00 for shipping and the gasket. Now I have to pay $28.00 to return a part that doesn't fit after buying the one this company recommended. I'm also subject to a restocking fee?! This is totally unreasonable. Go to Amazon, they have more affordable parts that actually fit your product and you can return it if there's an issue.

As part of our Return Policy, return shipping costs and a restocking fee may apply if a part is ordered incorrectly. This time the water filter gave me enough doubt that I needed to send and Email to Subzero to ask which code number was the correct one for my unit. The response was quick and accurate. I now have the replacement parts code numbers written in my instruction manual.

The shipping box was severely damaged and packed with little to no protection.

I ordered the Sub-Zero PKG DISP CNTRL PANEL Part Number 7002944 for my refrigerator and the package was heavily damaged upon receipt. The delicate electronic display was packed with little to no protection such as bubble wrap, etc. Furthermore, there was no indication on the box that it contained a delicate electronic component. I expect more care especially for a $350 part.
