Able to hear

I have not been able to hear much of anything in my right ear for over 10 years and this changed quite a lot for me. I should have done this years ago.

Great hearing aids

Once the hearing aids are adjust for you they work great. I am earing sounds that I haven't heard before. They have improved my ability to hear and now I wouldn't be without them. The ability to adjust them to the different programs on the hearing aids using your cell phone is a plus. In very noisy environments adjusting them by cell phone is easy.

This is the first time I have explored getting hearing aids so it's all new to me. The employees were all very friendly and helpful. I had some questions and they were willing to take the time to answer.

One additional point. I never felt pressured, we talked about all the options and then I selected what was right for me. During my follow up visit the minor adjustments made resolve all issues. I’m in great shape with my new aids.

First pair were defective

First pair were defective. Went to repair 5 times in 5 months. Given new ones thank goodness. The new ones do not perform as well as the originals I borrowed, or the first pair I bought. (When they were working.)

First time with hearing aids so I…

First time with hearing aids so I really didn’t know what to expect. The world is much noisier than I thought It was, especially traffic noise and machinery noise. I also thought I sang better before I got hearing aids, now I can really hear me sing. Not sure that was a positive. When I wear my hearing aids, my ears feel stuffed up. I assume I’ll get used to that. I wish the sound adjustments on them had more incremental adjustments, especially in the softness range. I understand that this is a process and I need to just get used to them and wait for my brain to catch onto what’s going on with my ears. The staff that Kaw Valley have been very helpful and understanding.
