Also damaged. attempted to send 3rd one, this one they tried to collect "tariff" of ~$150 on it. I refused it and it's been over 3 weeks with ZERO communication. All emails seem to be AI generated. Horrible communication. STAY AWAY
UPDATE: It’s been over 2 weeks and ZERO communication from Sohnne. In fact , UPS sent me an invoice for the tariff on refused shipment. Spent over a hour on the phone with UPS trying to rectify. Was told Sohnne refused to pay them.

Wow. I must say I agree with all of the previous negative reviews. *I* kept in contact with them via their annoying chat system to see the progress on my order. I NEVER received contact from them I did not initiate about this order. They offered a small refund to make up for the delay and they asked *ME* to contact them again after the weekend. So I contacted them AGAIN (keeping track this is now the third time) about this order and was informed their supply partner was unable to fill the order etc. Did you know this 2.5 months ago? I did get my refund but I followed the advice of the other reviews in this thread that stated they had to threaten to charge back. I never had to do a chargeback and did receive my refund.
I did order from them previously and did receive our order... mostly. They missed out on sending the base for the chair to which I had to speak with them twice to resolve, but to their credit, that was resolved. I should have known then not to order from them and I am kicking myself now for trusting them again.
They would have been happy to keep my money and never talk with me again. I NEVER got an email from them or phone call or any contact about this order that they stated “got lost”. The person in customer service also made sure to inform me that they had paid the shipping for the package. Neat? Did you expect me to pay for shipping for something I did not receive? I certainly think you should take that up with your supplier?

The Marshmallow Sofa replica was absolute garbage, (NOT AS PICTURED) and the customer support just kept promising refunds that they never deliver on.
I can't recommend Sohnne's quality, OR customer service. (Chester especially, made sure to waste my time thoroughly.)
If you're dealing with this website, save yourself some time and just dispute the transaction with your bank. These guys will jerk you around INDEFINITLEY.

EDIT: I originally had a positive experience with Sohnne, but things have changed dramatically.
The biggest issue here is the lack of communication. I didn’t get a single update on my order for over three weeks. I had to reach out myself to find out my package had been delivered a week ago, but it had been sitting in an unlocked mailroom for a whole week, and it got stolen.
To make it worse, I’ve had trouble getting a response from Sohnne. It takes days to hear back, and I can’t get through on the phone. The lack of follow-through on their part has been incredibly frustrating.
I can’t speak to the quality of the table I ordered since I never got it, but I can say with confidence that Sohnne is just a drop shipping company with terrible support and service.
Because of all this, I’ve had to remove my positive review. My experience with Sohnne has completely changed, and at this point, I can’t recommend them.

Horrible company with terrible customer support! I ordered a chair and when I placed the order there was absolutely nowhere on the order information that it would take 6 WEEKS to receive it. When I called to inquire on the delivery date, they said it was coming from overseas and that it would take 6-8 weeks. I asked if I could cancel it because I couldn't wait that long, nor was I ever notified, and they refused. I then called again a few weeks later to try to change the color of the chair. I did this 2 weeks in advance of it being delivered. They refused. This company has a lot to learn about customer service and not screwing their customers over. This has probably been the worst shopping experience I've ever had!

Over the course of multiple orders, I encountered a problem where products from the same line did not match. Initially, customer service was difficult to pin down, until the General Manager, Diego, stepped in. Diego was responsive, understanding, and fair. He replaced my mismatched products quickly and was a breeze to work with. Definitely won back my trust.

BEWARE! Do not order from here. I've been dealing with them for well over a month...they sent me the wrong item TWICE and now they have disappeared and gone dark...they refuse to respond to emails. I keep getting automated messages that my order has shipped but I dont have a tracking number and they refuse to provide one. At this point I am stuck with 4 massive boxes of 2 incorrect eames chairs and no resolution for the item that I actually purchased. This is an absolute scam!!!

I today received my extra tall premium eames chair and ottoman. It is not remotely the same product that was advertised on your website. Is a cheap fake leather knock off, drop shipped directly from China. The packaging is covered entirely in Chinese stamps.
List of faults;
Does not swivel at all. No damper or anything. Just metal grinding on metal.
Missing hardware for assembly ( washers etc)
Not premium Italian aniline leather in fact I doubt it’s leather at all. It stinks of chemicals.
Not CertiPUR-US memory foam cushion as advertised. It’s so hard it’s unusable.
Cushions do not unclip as advertised
Laminate construction is not 7 layers “pure bond” memory foam as advertised. The “walnut” is plasticky
No YKK zipper on cushions
No EPDM dampers or even a washer for base.
Supplied chair does not match the instructional video on your website. It is clearly a totally different product.
Shipping label from China says total value $20. Customer service agents on website are mysteriously busy when I tried to report the problems and ask for a refund.
This company is a scam that advertises a great product but delivers total crap then avoids its customers and any accountability. The gulf between what is advertised and reality is too great for it to be a mistake. The customer service is also non existent.
They take your $1000 then order a piece of trash to be direct shipped to you for a total of less than $100. It’s a fraud. Sonhe know fine well they are sending you a badly made piece of garbage from China you could’ve got yourself on Amazon for $150 if that’s what you wanted.

We tried to contact them multiple times regarding the issue, but they have been unresponsive. This kind of unprofessional behavior is disappointing, and I would advise others to be cautious when dealing with them.

Import from China and not from the US. I understood that I was buying from a US based company as I didn't want to buy from China, however, about three weeks after purchase I started to get tracking information from a Chinese importing agent. I queried this with Sohnne customer service and after three days got a reply to say that "Due to supply demands and stock levels my item was being shipped by their warehouse in Shanghai. The chair arrived in three packages; two arrived after 6 weeks but the third was further delayed but three weeks and I was charged an additional import tax of £25 which was refunded by Sohnne. The quality of the metal work and screws is very poor and the holes do not line up with the screws meaning they do not sit flush. As a result the metal brackets are tightened against the heads of the screws leaving a gap of 5mm...Very poor attention to detail and lack of quality control. Customer service is virtually non existent. When you do get a response it is meaningless cooperate waffle with little to no accountability. I asked for a refund and my email was just ignored.
The result is a chair that looks good but is not made of high quality materials. Be prepared to assemble with alterations needed with some replacement screws and re drilling possibly needed.
Update; 3rd April 2025. Following this review I was contacted by Sohnne who kindly offered a Full refund which was unexpected. However, as of today, no refund has been received suggesting that the company is untrustworthy even when acknowledging bad service.
Up Date 6/4/25.
I have received a Negotiated part refund to reflect the chair I have received as I didn't feel a full refund as offered was fair. Rather than putting customers through this absurd merry-go-round of complaint and counter claim, 1. The website must make clear that customers in the EU and UK (possibly elsewhere judging by the feedbacks) will be supplied by China and not the US. 2. Provide more details on the packaging and postage system as this is impossible to follow accurately (as Cantonese to English translation is via chatGPT an unreliable) 3. Customer service needs to improve of speed of response and be consistent.
