Very helpful

Easy to navigate. Quick responses to multiple issues I was having. Received a script for one of them. I couldn’t get an appt locally for a few months and using this site gave me a plan and peace of mind.

Good experience …

I almost didn’t try this company because of the bad reviews. It was actually great. Very quick, 2 hours from start to finish, and also very thorough care plan from the doctor. Bonus that they are in network with my insurance.

DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE!!

DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE!!

I agree with others low ratings of this website,
The Doctors are not helpful and did not prescribe anything;
They also do not accept some insurances , But falsely advertise that they do.

Future Patients beware and please do not use this service.

Dr Kevin wright accepted my case on a Friday afternoon. I had an intense rosacea flare. He returned a message within about two hours on Friday, stating that he would order doxycycline and “other ointments “. I was so relieved! Until he didn’t follow through.
I texted on Saturday afternoon, asking him what was going on, since I didn’t have my prescription yet. His privileged, arrogant answer was that he was spending time with his family ALL HOLIDAY WEEKEND. I could just wait.
This is breach of contract, patient abandonment and just plain arrogance. If I had known he had no intention of following through, I could have gone to urgent care.
It would have taken one phone call to my pharmacy on his part on Friday afternoon. He was too lazy, unconcerned and arrogant to spend 10 minutes or less helping me to feel more comfortable and doing his duty to complete the patient interaction on time.
SkyMD is a SCAM. You will not be helped in 24 hours or less as advertised.

STAY AWAY

If you can please stay away. After the service is done, you will end up receiving letters on the mail about payments that are due that were hidden or never disclosed. The bills will come from their affiliates for services you never knew about. Who receives a bill from an affiliate lab that never processed anything. Major avoid

Charge more than 79$

I took SkyMD's service for a dermatologist for my acne issue. Everywhere it was written that 79$ for the online consultation (which already seems high for just chatting for a few mins).

Later on, I see that they have sent a bill of 350$ to my insurance. And they have mentioned to my insurance that it was a 45 min consultation, whereas it was totally not.

Upon contacting them, they say that the claim has been processed by the insurance, and now they can't undo it. Also, "Anytime patients use their insurance plan, pricing will be different than cash pay since pricing is set by the insurance company". I asked them for an itemized bill, in which they have mentioned a 350$ charge for the "New Patient Visit Level 4 Comprehensive".

This all is totally absurd. Had I gone to a normal dermatologist nearby, my bill would be around 50$.

If I could give this 0 stars I truly would. I paid 79 dollars for the doctor to give me something my skin that I told him I CANNOT USE because it makes matters worse. He has ignored me since I tried contacting him. His name is Dr Matthew Coffman and he is a dermatologist. Absolutely horrendous and ignorant care. If you have a patient stating that they cannot use something, you don’t prescribe the same thing to make things worse. They took my money, ignored my messages and requests, never refunded me when I asked and I’m still out of medication or help to try and fix what is going on.

Second Time Around

I’m writing after my second experience with Sky MD. The first time was a cinch and the second is no different, fast, reliable service from board certified technicians. The previous poster (let’s just call him Mr. Ouch—smh) must’ve done something wrong.

Still waiting in pain OUCH

Poor service from supposed board certified dr. No info for many hours and then saying I sent unclear pictures. Just not true. Being left with no treatment or communication. BAD skymd lets people suffer without need FACT. If you want to trust your health care to this company business at least stay away from pediatrician/dermatologist female. Maybe your pictures will get you medical help as advertised. It just is not true. It's a business 1st. Ouch she didnt ask for a clearer picture just pics are no good. Ouch the company Skymd did not allow me a new Dr. Ouch they wasted my time after signing up and waiting too long they dumped me for an Easter weekend to find a dr. as they are all going home and leaving the patient uncared for. OUCH. PAIN. OUCH. all this work and waiting to be dumped at Easter. OUCH. Happy Easter. Going to see my primary after the holiday weekend. FRIDAY OUCH SATURDAY OUCH SUNDAY OUCH. MONDAY a real dermatologist. Never trust a pediatrician to do a mans work. Mismatch Dr as skymd gave me a pediatrian and I am mid 50's man. Easter weekend with pain OUCH.

Perfect for our needs!

I think it depends a lot on the doctor that you get -- I can imagine there might be a range of experiences. We had Dr. Kevin Wright, and his prescription was exactly right for my son. Previously, my son's in-person primary physician gave him a prescription that was kind of meh and not quite what he needed. (although she's a wonderful general doctor!!). The service was extremely convenient, and I was pleased with the whole experience. Also, we started during Covid, so it was a great service during lockdown.
