Does customer service even exist?

I got in on the crowdfunding in April 2024. I received the bike in January 2025. The parts I had to assemble were not easy, but I finally got it. The seat I ordered with a Bluetooth speaker and rfid lockbox did not ship due to issues with their supplier. I’ve tried to contact them 3-4 times through their support channels and have gotten no reply in almost 7 months. I had hoped for a better outcome. The story is that they are a US based company founded by veterans. What could be a better thing? Maybe customer service?? The bike did come with a standard seat, so I can at least ride it. My recommendation is to go with a well established company like Rad. More expensive but a better product and experience. These do look cool though. Maybe one day they’ll work out the kinks.

Update 7/2: I tried contacting them once again about the seat. Several days later, still no reply. I cannot recommend this company.

Poor quality and no Response to Messages Regarding My Order/Inquiry

I’ve been trying to reach Shakasurf bikes for the past 7 days via [phone/email/messages] regarding poor paint job and a rust spot under the cross tube, but I have not received a response.
I am frustrated and disappointed that I have not received an update or acknowledgment. I don't know what else to do. If I don’t hear back from them soon, I’ll need to consider other steps, including initiating a chargeback through my payment provider.
I hope this can be resolved quickly. I’m excited about these bikes and would love to continue supporting Shaka Surfbikes.

I ordered my bike in September

I ordered my bike in September, and it’s almost mid April and I still do not have my bike. Not only do I not have it, but they never return my messages. They responded to me once through social media that somebody would get back to me right away, but it’s been over a week and I still have not heard anything. Every time I call either their sales number or their customer service number, no one ever answers. At this point I just would like my money back, but I don’t even know who to talk to. This seems like a scam.

Don't buy these bikes, they are junk

I helped fund this startup early, after 9 months I was sent 2 damaged bikes and after a month still had no plan to correct the broken parts. They are in way over their head. Poor customer satisfaction, not taking care of those who helped them there, first! No inventory to replace broken parts, assembly videos came out after the bikes were sent. Claim to be big US Vet company but sell a cheap Chinese bilke.
