Purchased the test because I was curious about some conditions that my grandparents have been dealing with. As it’s the whole genome I found out some interesting things. Very useful for curious people. Talked to customer support a couple of times around my results and they were super helpful. Overall easy process. They send a kit to you, ship it back to the lab, and had results in 5 weeks. It was faster than they advertised too which was nice. Would definitely recommend for people that want to dive deeper than other dna tests out there.

This DNA company is a rip off. I bought a kit for my husband. I didn't realize they would be charging me a monthly fee on top of the cost of a kit. Also, the results are.so convoluted. He MAY have this vs he doesn't have this. There are NO definitive results- only maybes. This place got $438 out of me but no more. Don't buy from them. They rip you off and don't give you actual DNA results.

do not give this company your credit card info!
lots of dark design patterns:
- "monthly" plan is actually a year of commitment.
- very hard to unsubscribe
- impossible to see when and why they charged you.
stay away.

After months trying to download my files, support stopped answering my messages. Awful company, terrible support, sleazy tactics... If you want your genome data, go somewhere else. I will be filing a complaint with my state attorney general/consumer protection. And their response to this post was to simply give me the boilerplate instructions that their support team has been feeding me for months that does not work. The worst....

Affordable but the best genetic testing experience I've had. Complete genome in 30x coverage. Online platform and onboarding are great. Very well polished. Useful reports.

This has been such a great experience! I expected to wait much longer than I actually did, but the timing for results was actually really good. I have finally received answers after having so many issues since childhood, and I couldn't be more happy. The process was very easy, instructions were very easy, and mailing the kit back to them was also very easy. There is also an email that is sent every time your DNA is moved to a new testing area, so that you constantly know where/how long each part will take. Very satisfied!

I learned about the possibility of hereditary pancreatitis and immediately remembered that my paternal grandfather died from pancreatic cancer. I am now scheduling for testing for this as well as all the possible risks that were turned up in my sequencing. I have been able to show my reports to my daughters and compare them all to family medical histories and it ALL makes sense now! I LOVE THIS!

Don't recommend it. They give you 30 days premium but every time you want to view something it takes them 1-2 days to process, by the time I tried to understand it the 30 days were up. And they want $40/month after to just interpret the data. And their DNA explorer doesn't really work after the 30 days, meaning the reports you can view poof and are gone. I also discovered that the raw reports from Sequencing aren't usable for any of the 3rd party interpretive services which was disappointing to learn. They seem focused on trying to extract every dollar they can rather than offer a good experience for customers. They should run the standard gene explorer when they get the reports, instead if you want to view it click run and have to come back in a few days. Stay away, not worth it. Felt I got bait and switched.

I was hesitant to do genetic testing not knowing how reliable or useful it would be. I also wasn’t sure if the results would just uncover a bunch of things that would just worry me. After a year of debating it and not finding health answers, I purchased a kit. Very simple and straightforward process. I received updates on the progress of my Whole Genome Sequencing throughout the process. The data and reports are very usable and they are consistent with my results from Invitae that the doctor ordered for cancer screening. I’ve contacted customer support with questions and they are very quick to respond. The information generated is exactly what I needed as I go down my path to getting a diagnosis for my symptoms. Results showed that I am a carrier and/or likely have a high risk of 3 different conditions, one of which is hereditary (of particular importance for my children to be aware of). I’m already symptomatic of two of the three conditions, so I am currently doing additional testing (blood work) to rule out or diagnose these conditions. The third condition requires regular monitoring by my optometrist. Additionally, I now have a useful list of medications that I might have efficacy issues with or adverse reactions to. All in all, I feel more informed on my genetics and health. The results were more reassuring than concerning! I’m convinced that everybody should have genetic testing done. It’s just a wealth of information that can help keep you informed and on top of your health. Also, I ordered my test on April 26th and Received my results on June 22nd. Faster than expected.

I had an excellent experience with sequencing.com, thanks to their outstanding customer service. Logan and his supervisor Ken truly went above and beyond to assist me. I was in a time-sensitive situation, needing access to my reports before an important doctor’s appointment, and they stepped in right away to help. They were not only responsive and professional, but also genuinely cared about making sure I had everything I needed. Their support made a stressful situation much easier to handle. I’m very grateful for their help and highly recommend sequencing.com for both their services and top-tier customer support.

I personally believe that Sequencing.com is the best Whole Genome Sequencing company for the following reasons:
1. Ability to deliver the product: On social media like Reddit, other Whole Genome Sequencing companies are reported to have wait times that go way beyond their estimates, often over six months. With Sequencing.com, I got sequenced in two weeks and could review my results with my doctor on time.
2. Social media presence: Sequencing.com is active on Reddit, answering questions publicly. This is a value-add because I can see what others ask and how Sequencing.com works with customers and potential customers to improve their experience.
3. Customer Support: I don’t think other genetics companies have active customer support. During business hours, I usually get a response or live chat within an hour, which beats my expectations. The Genome Explorer tool is a bit technical, but they’ve answered my questions and given me a lot of attention. I doubt any other company would do this.
Strongly recommended.

I ordered the whole gnome sequencing full kit to try to get answers for me and help my doctors in my treatment of a multisystemic disease process that occurred during the COVID pandemic (2022). I received results about 5 months later and suprised because it missed identifying diseases that I have confirmations of having and that are in my family genetics (same diseases). I was suprised when I was charged another 300 some odd dollars for a subscription to have access to my results. I paid it initially because I believed through their marketing that this would be a benefit to my diagnostic process. I was wrong.
Sequencing.com lied, continued to lie about their product, and then lied about me when spoke up about what they did. Their testing was wrong, faulty and it contributed to delays in medical care and cancer diagnostics and treatment. While they did refund 119.90 , in subscription fees for three months, over a thousand was spend in their fraudulent testing and reporting programs that were wrong and a genetic counseling appointment they offered that was counted as completed even though it never did happened due to an internet connection loss when trying to connect to the counselor. No refund of that was offered either. My doctors would not accept any data from this company as valid. This includes the three regional hospital systems and research and regional hospitals here.
I wrote an initial review of this alerting the consumer public because my experience shows that this is a scam and completely worthless when it comes to your health and getting treatment and they are profitting off your concerns for your help. Sequencing initially flagged my review for being "false information" (sound familiar), but when I countered with facts to Trustpilot, they reinstated my review. Sequencing then began a series of emails trying to get me to remove the review (that basically states exactly what I did above), and finally offered to refund 3 monthly charges of subscription fees, even though I was out for significantly more than that. I added this action to my review, in all fairness, so that people would know that Sequencing did refund three months of over 2 years of subscription payments, processing fees and such. Later when 21 and Me sold and went bankrupt and with the current data environment in 2025, I asked for all my data to be removed and deleted from their site because I didn't want it sold or accessable to anyone but myself. The representative argued with me about that in email, and warned me that I will never be able to access any of that information again because it will be gone. This is exactly what I wanted and I asked them to delete my information again.
It has been a couple months and today I was emailed erroneously by Trustpilot who notified me that my review had been deleted because of profanity and accusing me of using sexually degrading language. I asked for screen shots of this because I have never written a review that denegrates ANYONES sexuality. I was told to rewrite the review and given no screen shot providing proof of any of this.
We will see if TrustPilot will continue to suppress my experience with this company and if they are trustworthy for reviews, which in my experience to date, is questionable. For reference, I am a Phd level, health care field professional, licensed in multiple states and no attachment to any financial or material outcome for this company, TrustPilot or any other company.

Easy to do, great for someone who is constantly getting "I don't knows" from their medical services. Doctors willing to follow up on reported areas.
