SA Expeditions took great care of us. From Megan assisting with building an itinerary for what interested us and with any adjustments that needed to be made up until we arrived in Peru.
The trip was tailored to us learning about the history of the Incas and doing a day hike to Machu Picchu.
Our guide Evert, as an ancestor of the Incas, fluently spoke Quechua, Spanish, and English which enriched our experience. He was not only knowledgeable, but was passionate to share it, kind to our needs and modifications, and knew how to help us acclimatize to the altitude. Alcides as our driver was also kind and kept us supplied with bottled water, safe travels, and spotless transport. We felt like Evert and Alcides were magical with coordinating our drop offs and pick ups at these busy places.
Instruction from Kini at our Rooftop Kitchen cooking class was great and Carlos and Antonio in Lima were flexible with our unexpected flight changes.
SAE and our guides took care of everything from checking us in and out of our hotels and flights, to directing us to the best experiences at all the sites we visited.
The accommodations and restaurants arranged and recommended by SAE were all outstanding with top-notch hospitality.

My daughter and I and her three girls (9, 11, 13) took a customized SA Expeditions trip to Peru, including Machu Picchu. It was one of the last things on my bucket list and it was truly amazing. SA Expeditions took care of all the details, including our flights from Lima to Cusco, our travel by van or taxi to all locations, many of our delicious meals, and exciting adventures for all of us, but especially for the kids. We worked with Chelsey to customize the trip and spend time exactly where we wanted to go. Our main guide, Edwin, and driver, Luis, were there with us for most of our trip. Otherwise, there were taxi drivers who took us on the planned excursions and suggested other nearby places as well. The cost was just a bit more than a group tour. I can't say enough good things about the whole adventure and SA Expeditions in particular.

The company helped us organize a somewhat complex trip involving three locations in Peru/Chile. It involved several flights and stays at hotels/resorts which they organized, and they set up guides for us. The places we stayed were great, the guides were wonderful. It was an ambitious "bucket list" trip, and it was awesome.

From the planning process to our guides on the ground, SA Expeditions provided a seamless, once in a lifetime adventure for our family in Peru. We were traveling with grandparents (in their late 70's), and our guides were very attentive to their needs. Due to the excellent oversight of the guides, they both felt at ease with the activities we were doing which included high-altitude sightseeing and hiking. I think our only regret is that we could not stay longer!

The add-on tours and tour guides were fantastic. Both guides were very passionate about sharing their culture and customs with our group; which made the experiences very special. This is my third visit to Peru and I still learned so much and was very impressed with our lodgings and food. Well worth the price of the tour when you take into account the beautiful hotels and delicious food included!

I just returned from an absolutely unbelievable trip to Peru, where I hiked the five-day Inca Trail — and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. SA expeditions did a phenomenal job arranging everything. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, and the whole trip ran like clockwork.

From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch. The hotels were excellent — comfortable, well-located, and full of character. The Inca Trail itself was truly life-changing, and I always felt supported, safe, and inspired. Our guide was knowledgeable, kind, and deeply passionate about their culture and the trail.

Isabel was absolutely incredible to work with! I've collaborated with many DMCs, and her deep knowledge of both Morocco and Spain truly stood out. She made planning a 20-day journey for my older solo traveler client completely seamless. All of the guides, drivers, and accommodations exceeded our expectations, and at each location we went, our SA guide was there waiting for us. SA Expeditions prepared an amazing Peru trip for my wife and me. We experienced Cuzco, trekked the Salkantay, and saw Machu Picchu. Our guide, Mario, was next level incredible. SA was amazing to work with; they took our trip goals, and presented us with a plethora of customizable itinerary options. Even when we had selected an itinerary, every minute detail of the trip was further customizable. Will certainly be using them again. You should use them too.

I have just returned from a trip of a lifetime and I couldn’t be happier with SA Expeditions and our representative Megan Ribeiro who I worked with to plan my trip. My daughter and I first went to Ecuador, went to the equator and on to The Galapagos for about one week then went to Peru and on to Machu Picchu. We covered a lot of ground in our 13 day trip and everything was planned out perfectly. Our guides were great as was our drivers. We had a guide and driver just for us in Ecuador and Peru. While in The Galápagos we were on a Yatch with 14 other guests. We had one hiccup on one of our flights but the situation was resolved quickly and all the domestic flights from that point on we were first class. It was a nice gesture on their part. My daughter also left a shirt on the yacht . I notified Megan and she got right on it and the shirt was found. Arrangements are being made to get it shipped back to us. I would definitely use this company again when planning another trip. Thank you Megan ❤️

First, let me say this was the BEST trip we have ever taken in our lives. This was a trip we planned for our anniversary and we picked places on our bucket lists. Our travel advisor Jackie was wonderful and helping us plan exactly what we wanted to do. Our main objectives were to see Machu Picchu and Easter Island. Jackie's personal experience in Peru was instrumental in planning that experience and making it spectacular. The smallest of details were considered and she answered every question we had about our trip there. We were able to modify any part of the trip to get the most out of our time in each place. The tour guides, drivers, and places we stayed in both places were top notch. We had amazing hotels and the amenities were top notch. We truly enjoyed every bit of the time on vacation because SA thought of everything and took care of everything. All we had to do was sit back and relax and be amazed by the scenery, culture and places we were fortunate to visit. My husband and I will use this company again with our next adventure. Our tour guides in Peru and Chile (Jonathan and Roberto) were knowledgeable, friendly, patient and fun. They made our vacation the best it could be. We are forever thankful for the team and everyone involved in making this vacation the best it could be. Thank you!

I would highly recommend SA Expeditions. They provided excellent service from beginning to end. The itinerary was well planned with some unexpected accommodating surprises along the way. Our guide was exceptional, his knowledge and passion for Machu Picchu brought the sights to life. The porters were cheerful and second to none and our chef was superb provided amazing meals. I had a great experience with my recent trip. Right from the beginning - with Hellen from SA planning our itinerary, to the guides, porters, chefs and drivers - all were outstanding! They were all very professional and couldn't have been more accommodating! The guide on the Inka Trail, Evert, was the best guide I have ever used. He went above and beyond in all aspects of the journey, and his knowledge of the area was fantastic. I am a severe diabetic and Evert made sure that I was well taken care of.
