Ro is a scam disguised as telehealth.
Ro is a scam disguised as telehealth.
They charged me $45 just to "consult" with a so-called physician which ended up being a generic intake form, not an actual appointment. Then, without clear consent, they tacked on a $145 "membership" plan I never signed up for.
When I reached out to support to cancel and request a refund, they just canceled the plan and smugly told me "all sales are final." No refund, no accountability.
This isn’t my first time using online health services. I’ve used platforms like Hims, Eden, and others before and never had issues like this. Every other service made their pricing clear and handled support with some level of integrity. Ro’s shady billing practices and refusal to issue a refund make it feel like a bait-and-switch operation.
Avoid Ro at all costs. You’ll get hit with surprise charges, and their support team is trained to say “no” instead of helping.

Save your money
They charge you to run your insurance which surprise, surprise, never covers it. Then they charge you 145 bucks a month to send you some injection- literally I’ve been taking whatever it is for three months and have not even lost half a pound. When I reached out to my “personal consultation” that I pay an extra fee for, all I get is a chat bot telling me that it takes time to see results. Done!✅

They have manipulative advertising!!!
They have manipulative advertising!!!! They say this For $45 a month (the first month) the Ro Body membership helps you lose weight by pairing prescription medication with coaching and care—and tailoring it to your weight loss goals. This is SO FALSE! Yes, the $45 is a first month, $100 off deal. BUT, this does not include the lab test for $50 (they still bill you the $45) and then all of a sudden you are "approved" and you medical consultant (who they say you will meet with) just sends you a link to "pick you medication." This is a SEPARATE FEE!!! Lowest is $199 a month and will be separate from you $149 membership/consultation fee. Oh, but they will TRY to get it approved by your insurance. Now that is funny. They won't even have a conversation with you! Don't use thIs. RIP OFF!

Sorry, we couldn't find that page
FYI every time I click on a link that was supplied by RO
Sorry, we couldn't find that page
I should have read the reviews I just spent $45 thinking I was getting medicine that has already helped me.
So everyone please beware this is a membership only type situation you're not getting medicine for $45 and then $145 you are getting a membership only it should be very clear on the very first page!
ro co membership guide estimating medication costs
Hey! We do apologize for any confusion around costs. The Ro Body membership begins with a $45 online consultation which includes your personalized treatment plan, where a Ro-affiliated provider reviews your medical history to help find a GLP-1 medication that’s right for you. The $45 introductory cost also includes assistance determining your insurance coverage and estimated copay. If you are prescribed, your provider will send your prescription to a pharmacy near you, and you’ll be charged $145/month for the membership. Please note that GLP-1 medication is not included in the consultation or membership fees. You can get more details on estimated medication costs within the Ro Body membership Guide on our website here: sorry this page cannot be found- Sending you a request for more information to see if there is anything we can do to help!

Please save your money and frustration and avoid this company.
I am so mad at myself for wasting the time and money on this company. I really wanted some personalized advice and help navigating doses and insurance coverage and they were so chaotic, with someone different replying every time. One time I randomly got pages and pages of template weight loss advice that any person who has ever spent one moment on the internet has already seen a million times. I truly thought it was an AI bot but apparently it was a nurse. Yikes!!! The one thing they did manage to accomplish was they got pre-authorization from my insurance for Zepbound pens, and then proceeded to send the rx to Walgreens while I was out of the country, who filled it, and then canceled it, all while I was still traveling. Please save your money and frustration and avoid this company.

the Weightloss program is a scam
the Weightloss program is a scam, They charge you $145 a month and that doesnt even include the medications. Then they took $45 upfront before I was even approved, to "run my insurance". To which they told me, they werent certain if I was covered. WELL thats why I paid $45 for them to find that information out. Then the dr was non responsive, so i cancelled the "membership", and My $45 inconclusive insurance check was non-refundable. Buyer BEWARE.

They continue to charge even after Cancelation!
Initially the presentation was good but the additional fees of 145 + the cost of the meds make the pricing non competitive. I canceled my subscription in June and advised that I no longer required the product. Days after they still billed me. I again canceled the subscription and medication and requested a refund. I never received a reply or call. Now again in July I am charged a subscription fee of 145.00. The customer service is pathetic in this regard. I am going to call my bank and have to request a charge back because I cannot get any support!
