I’ve been using rhdjapan for over 10 years without a single issue. They’ve assisted with parts that were not on their website, let me edit orders without issue and always respond quickly to inquiries. Highly recommend them!

Fantastic for Toyota OEM parts

Have placed multiple orders over the years, and in the last month have placed a half dozen or more using their RHDJapanOEM parts picker, Using the OEM part numbers they check if they can be sourced, and if they are, they are reasonably priced, DHL shipping is fast also

If a part is found to be discontinued after ordering, they will offer to refund the cost - or allow you to pick a substitute item in its place, easy and quick :)

One thing to note is that paying via credit card VS Paypal, sometimes the paypal option adds upwards of $60 to $100 dollars to the original total if paid direct with credit card, This is not RHDJapan's problem though, so perhaps avoid the paypal option, otherwise RHDJapan themselves are fantastic at keeping my 80's and 90's Japanese cars running :)

Terrible Support

I usually order from them and they are usually on top of things. Then, one of the products was damaged and caused me to have a nasty gash across my hand. I took the picture of the damage goods and they said they need more pictures and refuse a refund. It is ridiculous. I have provided enough and I had to discard it because of the sharp pieces.

no refund of money, forced to use store credit

I have Ordered 3 times for different items in a row, they kept asking to pay more after check out for some items while paying the extra money from my bank and using the store credit. I asked them to pay me back to extra and give me full refund of the money (not Store credit, they didn't responded my request at all) I can't keep order something else since every time you order something new, they always ask for more money. I don't know who owns the business now, it's way different than before. They became a scammer

Outstanding customer support and inventory

I've ordered twice from these guys, both times have been fantastic with some of the best customer service I've ever had. The inventory for 90s and 00s jdm icon cars is great, even for an old EF9 like mine, however some odd or niche items can be sparse. But the main items most of us want are available.

However reading the negative reviews about poor customer service leaves me dumbfounded and i want to share my experience.

I too did have a couple of hiccups with my orders due to multiple obscure items in a row being discontinued and price changes due to currency rates changing in real time, and never at any point did i get ignored or misunderstood.

My "slowest" response took about 24h due to time zone differences, otherwise it was less than 30 minutes, and this was for every message, and i haven't exactly only sent 2 messages, probably over 20 in a span of a 4 days. To respond this fast while keeping in mind that I'm NOT the only one chatting with a staff member is fantastic.

I even had problems with customs needing a MIL label and this was resolved in not even 12 hours.

I've SERIOUSLY never experienced any other company that cares this much, the people saying the service is terrible are people who simply don't know how to properly communicate, that's my 2 cents. I refuse to believe that I've been "lucky" with the service.

5/5 Will obviously continue to shop here.

Cusco Sport X for GR YARIS MK2

Ordered on several occasions from RHDJapan, each experience has been pleasurable. On a few instances i needed to edit my order, in particular this last, the adjustments were accomplished smoothly and speedily. Kudos to the Help Desk team, and to Takami-san! I am a very happy customer and will certainly order many more times from RHDJapan!

This site use to be good

This site use to be good. I recently placed an order for coilovers. They emailed me back saying there is a price increase on them. So they were listed at a different price. They offered a partial refund or store credit. I went with store credit and ordered another set, I got another email 2 days later saying these coilovers are discontinued but they were still available to purchase. I had to place a 3rd order for a set of coilovers which I had to pay another $100 for. After all this I got another email stating that boost couplers are also up price and request another $35. I placed my order around 2 weeks ago and still am trying to finalized it with terrible customer service and an out dated website. Be cautious with order from here their inventory and pricing is very out dated with zero accommodation for their issues.

Generally okay, but customer service is not good

Generally okay, as ordered items arrive; however the customer service is not good. [Neil, Miyuki etc] In example:
- they do wrong customs declarations, so you pay customs twice or need to declare extra
- when items ship 3 months later then advertised, they only ship seperately if you pay shipping twice etc
- partially unfriendly & not helpfull

Multiple purchases

Over the years I've ordered parts multiple times from rhd japan and are extremely efficient with good shipping rates to Ireland, prices of the parts are always good and customer service is great if there is ever any problems ordering parts etas for parts on back order usually come quicker than the date given too...Even with paying customs and tax parts do generally work out a but cheaper and are quicker obtainable than using a European supplier great service will use time and time again.

Honestly the best customer service I've…

Honestly the best customer service I've experienced since the internet became a thing. I've worked with this company for several years now, and while they are a distributor of parts from other makers, they are very responsive and interact with the manufacturers quickly. If you have a question and put a ticket in, you get at least one response in 24 hours. The response is always professional and helpful.

An example, I ordered a J's Racing exhaust for my Honda Fit. It was backorderd, by J's Racing, for a year. The order stayed open, my helpdesk ticket stayed open, I checked back in a year, and the rdhjapan team continued to provide updates on my exhaust. I want to stress this was an order over a year old and they still were proactively providing updates on the ticket.

I would 100% recommend them for your parts.

Feels like a scam and maybe is

Not good. I ordered something from this website which cost a total of 470 NZD. But the yen total value was greater than 470nzd. when converted I had payed 490 without any warnings.
Soon enough I got a email saying that they had also raised the prices of the item without any warning and offered me a refund or to pay 70 or 80 more bucks. Why didn't you warn me 2 days before?
So obviously I went for a refund and the refund was honestly quick but I did not get a full refund because I got 470 instead of 490 so where's my 20 bucks you guys waxed of me?

Textbook Customer Service Example

I feel like there's generally 3 distinct customer service scenarios - "before you buy communication", "after you buy communication as things go well" and "after you buy communication but things go wrong". I have experienced all 3 of these scenarios with RHDJapan and can comfortably say that they are amazing in every situation. They're quick to reply, they address all your concerns and are absolutely on top of everything. They say what they do and they do what they say. Long story short, they're a textbook on what good customer service is.

Special mention of Tamaki san, I basically experienced all three scenarios in my most recent order and he was amazing throughout!

That's all without mentioning quick delivery, careful packaging and competitive pricing - but that's standard. Customer Service is where they really excel.
