Tech Support is Amazing
Although I struggled with the start-up, the support (both proactive and reactive) was amazing. They have become more like friends than a technical support team. One problem we had with Remento was with their unique way of logging in using an email link instead of a password. This was confusing to me and my collaborators. Once we figured it out though, it was a breeze. We have still not been able to get my mom able to use the product from her own phone. The technical error messages are not user-friendly and they really scared her. We blame the problems though mostly on user error and her iphone that has been intentionally scaled down to the bare basics. Instead, we make sure that there is always a daughter with their own personal phones/iPads beside her to assist. That way, we all get to enjoy listening to her stories.

I really love the way that Remento uses AI to embellish the story but also leaves the option to have a word for word transcript. Being able to watch and save the videos is wonderful, too. I really wish we’d been able to do something like this with my grandparents before they passed. It will be such a sweet comfort someday when my parents are gone 🩷

The Reluctant Story Teller - Not!
My son and daughter-in-law purchased this and gave to me as a surprise. At first I was reluctant then after a few recordings, I am having a great time. So far I use the audio only to record, and Remento has made it easy to do so. Also if I want to listen to what I have recorded or re-record, it is easy to do it. The Remento website is easy to log onto and find information and guidance.
