Most unprofessional, deceitful, inept company!

Most unprofessional, inept, deceitful company out there. Our internet went out early Saturday morning, couldn't get any answers as to what was happening or when it would be fixed. Then by mid afternoon they said that it would be fixed by 11:05pm that evening. Woke up Sunday morning and still no wifi(our entire house is on wifi, tv's, computers, voice commands etc.) There was no update. I called them up, only to get through a call center in India. The poor guy had no idea what was going on or have any sort of explanation. He hung up on me, maybe accidentally, I don't know. Never bothered to call back, although he had taken my phone number at the beginning of the call 'just incase we lose connection'. Well, that didn't happen. Shortly afterwards, received an update that it would be fixed in a couple of hours. That never happened. Shortly thereafter we were given another time, saying by 2:13pm Sunday. That didn't happen. By 3:30pm we received another alert saying it will PROBABLy be fixed by 3:15 on Monday! We cancelled our subscription, went over to Xfinity on a Sunday and after an hour were watching tv and attending to our emails etc. Bottom line, they do not work weekends, had no intention of fixing anything nor providing any explanation! Who even knows if they would have fixed in on Monday late afternoon. Deceitful, unprofessional, inept company. BTW- Xfinity has the better pricing. Stay away from this company.

3 day outage.

Been a customer for 1 month and are in the middle of a 3 DAY outage. This is ridiculous - I signed up due to promises of high speeds and reliability but Xfinity is only ever down for a few hours. Cancelled service today.

I switched from decades of Cox internet. CenturyLink never had issues, then became Quantum Fiber. Was promised one rate for life and they raised it. Cox use to go down, but they would have it fixed normally within hours. Our service has been down going on day 2, after getting a text yesterday saying it would be fixed today. Text today said they are still trying to fix it. As soon as I get my Cox equipment, I am done with Quantum and their terrible service.

Constantly down, FOR DAYS

We signed up with quantum fiber after moving to Apopka, Florida. They have been down for FIVE DAYS last month, and now they’re down again, and the message says it’s expected to be back up in FOUR DAYS from now. This is completely unusable. Also, their customer support is offshore, can’t understand a word they say, and they don’t give a crap about you. Do not EVER use these people!

Speeds not what they say....

Century Link discontinued my service and told me I had to switch to Quantum Fiber if I wanted to continue to receive internet. I signed up for the 500 mbps which was 20x faster than what I had with Century Link. I thought Wow! This'll be great, but NOOOO! It lags....websites time out....WTF? Also they demanded automatic billing, which I don't like - tried to get me to give them access to my checking account. After going around and around, they finally agreed to accept a credit card. The price is cheaper but the service is worse. Thinking about moving over to Google Fiber. Not sure I want the hassle for straight across benefits. I'll have to do a little research.

One piste off customer!!? If I could have chose a negative star I…

If I could have chose a negative star I would have because 1 star is far to kind for the service this company provides. I have spend literal days trying to get someone competent enough to know what a group account is and that by asking for my personal account information is ridiculous to ask because it is not under my name! They need to be asking for the name of the complex. There are no managers to speak with either. Sometimes they answer and don’t even say hello you can just hear a super loud chaotic call center of other calls but no one is actually even answering! I had someone out today to fix it after about 13 hours total trying to get someone competent enough to schedule it. I took the day off work(which is extremely expensive) only to have someone come to my home, told me I needed a new router ect so he swapped it out, said it worked and complimented his own work , and left. He didn’t fix the problem it does t work at ALL now. This company is a joke, they don’t know that apartment/condos have an hoa paying for a group rate, and you will spend day and hours loosing money and time for something that should be simple! I have never had my internet working properly for 2 years now dealing with them. No customer service whatsoever, I’m frankly surprised they survive.

Destroys property and Dishonest

When digging for their lines the were incompetent. They hit our underground utility and knocked the power out for several hours. The local power company had to send several trucks out to fix what they broke. When the power came back on one of my major appliances did not come back on. The foreman stated it was their fault and they would replace my appliance. After filing a claim the company decided they will not be responsible for their actions. This is not the first time they did this. It has happened in another local community. They lie and damage property. BEWARE! No stars is appropriate. I will never use their service no matter how much Comcast charges!

pure service and accounting practices

I was told I had to switch to Quantum fiber, so I did.
The service is fine however shortly after installation one of the equipment parts no longer worked. Instead of sending a service person to take care of it, they sent me the part with instructions. I am 76, not very technically savvy, not to mention it entailed moving a heavy desk & file cabinet. I was able to switch the part. I was told I had to return the old part. I took it to UPS and returned. I received notice that it was not received and I was charged $160.00. After research I found out it was received. fortunately I had overdraft protection. It will be refunded but in many cases people may end up overdrawn.
The company should have sent out a service person to resolve the whole problem. Very disatified.

Since we were forced to switch from…

Since we were forced to switch from Century link to Quantumfiber, it has been a disaster! Very slow internet service, horrible connection. I work from home and I am not able to access anything, so frustrating!

Stay away from this service if you don’t want high blood pressure

This has by far been the most excruciating experience of my internet life. We moved to a new home in November (7 months ago) and for the first 3 months of moving in we never had internet pretty much 2 days of every week. It has been a nightmare ever since. They constantly have service outages which takes days to resolve. I work from home and this means constant disruption, randomly during the day while you are in the middle of a serious project or meetings. This is the crappiest service I have ever associated myself with and not reviewing them would be doing society a disservice!!!

Wish I could give this service a zero

Wish I could give this service a zero. Oh my god I have had QF for 2 whole months and it has been the worst experience. I can't believe I'm saying I want to switch to xfinity again. There is a DNS outage every week. I'm able to fix it on my own but how the h*ll is the average user supposed to fix that? I was also suggested to get another router to improve my internet but I'm paying close to $100 a month and I think it's unfair to have customers dish out more money to make the connection work. My internet speeds are never where they should be. Not once in the nearly 3 months have I been happy with quantum fiber. Customer support is not great either and I feel bad because I know they're doing their best and doing what they're told. I've complained about speeds and was suggested to downgrade. My installer was 4 hours late and the customer service team provided zero information and ETAs when I had a doctors appointment. I have never been so angry with an internet company and I've had xfinity for 13 years. What is going on?

I work in tech, I work from home and I would not suggest this for someone who needs reliable internet.

WORST "customer service" EVER

When I tried to change my method of payment due to fraudulent use of my card (not associated in any way with my Quantum account), I was unable to use the link provided nor their website to update my information. Normally when something like that happens, a phone call gets the problem solved. Give them the new info and move into something else. Not with Quantum Fiber!! They are unable to take any payment info by phone, but not to worry! They are aware of the problem and working diligently to fix it; no worries as they will write a ticket to ensure service isn't interrupted while they're working on it. Three weeks and multiple attempts to update the info later, the problem persists and service is disconnected. Ah! But they understand my frustration and offer a $100 giftcard for my trouble. Great! They can apply the giftcard to my account and restore service. Nope, can't do that because the account has to be in good standing. Tech can get back to me in 24-48 hours and try to resolve the problem, but they can't restore my service even though they admit that the problem is indeed their own.
I'm done. I canceled their surface. I have never in my life been unable to pay a bill because a business can't figure out their own system.

Terrible connection speed

Terrible connection speed. Constantly out. Customer service has unbelievable wait times, have never been able to get someone to answer tech support line or any other options.

Absolutely Pathetic – Avoid at All Costs

If I could give zero stars, I would. This provider promised “the fastest and most reliable internet experience” — what a joke. Since the day we signed up, it’s been an endless cycle of outages, crashes, and tech visits that “fix” the issue for about 24 hours.

Today was the final straw: our entire service completely crashed — no warning, no accountability. We were told it was a “nationwide outage,” but somehow our family, in the exact same area and using the same provider, had flawless service all day. So… either your systems are a mess or your reps are trained to lie. Either way, that’s trash service.

We’re switching providers and never looking back. This company overpromises, underdelivers, and gaslights its customers. Save your sanity — go anywhere else.

Outage - no communication and no one to contact

Major glitch, no Internet and when I tried to call, got a message that they weren’t available and they hung up. Went to the website to try to get an update on outages and said sight was broken. Went to do a chat and sat on a “hold” for 37 minutes perpetually - never got connected. No email alert or communication whatsoever as to what was happening.

the worst internet provider

ive had century link for over a decade and it has had less problems than quantum has had in a couple months. quantum forced us to buy their terrible internet. In the first week it didnt work and we were held on hold for the entire day and couldnt have someone look at it for a whole week. Then it started to work, i had like 20 mbps the entire month and it stopped working AGAIN.

This company is s**t

This company is s**t. Speeds are great when its working, but goes out every couple of weeks. Then forget about trying to get someone on the phone or through their chat option. No one ever shows up on chat, phone wait times are over an hour every single time. It is beyond ridiculous. Im writing this review while my wifi is out again. Been waiting to talk to someone for 20 min already. When you do finally talk to someone, they tell you theres no outage in your area and to reset everything which never helps. Company is a joke. Id give 0 stars if I could.

Do not go with this company!!

Do not go with this company!!! We have been trying to use them 8 months and have not had reliable internet that entire time. Their equipment doesn’t work, their wires fell dangerously across the ally behind our house multiple times, and every time you need customer service you have to try for hours to get through to a solution with someone. We had people come out to fix our internet at least 6 times and the problem was never solved. We went to xfinity and without any trouble-shooting whatsoever we have 3 bar WiFi throughout the entire house. Quantum fiber’s self-installing WiFi extender pods needed someone were faulty and couldn’t be set up without someone from the company to come out every time. They even made me do a song and dance with every extender pod that I ordered to prove—yet again—that their self-instal pods don’t work. They would not offer any kind of refund for the months wasted or any proration for the month that we canceled our plan. I should have known, because their people when we were also looking to set up the WiFi at our house were pushy and weird. Massive waste of time, effort, and money. I have no idea how this horrible company hasn’t gone out of business. They want me to return their hardware via mail and not even the link to do that worked.
