False Advertising and Shady Policies

False Advertising and Shady Policies – Stay Away!

I am extremely disappointed with Pure Barre. Their website is completely misleading. They advertise "no commitment - Cancellation will be effective at the end of the current period for which you have paid" and make it seem like you can cancel anytime—this is NOT true. Once you sign up, you find out there is actually a 30-day cancellation period, which is nowhere clearly stated during sign-up. This is blatant false advertising and completely dishonest.

When I reached out to cancel, I was told I had to continue paying for another full month, even though I no longer wanted the service. It feels like a scam designed to trap people into paying more. I expected better from a fitness brand that claims to empower people. Instead, I felt tricked and taken advantage of.

If you value honesty and transparency, do yourself a favor and avoid this location.

In a nutshell

In a nutshell, fraudulent advertising. They will continue to charge you monthly after signing up for a 1-month PACKAGE not membership, in addition to late fees, because you never showed up… because you didn’t know you were continuing to pay for packages… and then they state that it was the clients responsibility to call the billing debt to cancel. Oh and good luck finding a number to reach anyone. Also, the classes are boring and overcrowded.

Pure Barre McKinney is not recommended!

I had my first class a few weeks ago at the Pure Barre location in McKinney and signed up for more but unfortunately l sustained an injury and had to discontinue. I called multiple times to cancel my membership which they eventually did. However, no refund was processed. I cannot say the number of times l have called and been told the manager will get back to me or that she’s been sent a text and will get back to me. Eventually she responded to an email stating the membership was cancelled and asked about what refund l was referring to. What is interesting is l never got a receipt or anything detailing that l couldn't cancel if l chose to. No contract whatsoever! I did not use up any of the classes so why is it so easy to process a cancellation but not process a refund? Or even tell me why l won’t be refunded. Not recommending!
