You can get blood tests through this company but there are better options out there. The labs that they work with are old and run down with unfriendly staff. And if you run into any issues, such as delays and lab results being lost or severely delayed, the customer service through Private MD labs is not great. I submitted a ticket for my order after it took over a week for my results to show up and they responded that they would look into it and immediately closed my ticket. I would not recommend this company.

Great experience with Private MD Labs.
Super easy to order online. Checking hormones with your DR and a prescription is a nightmare. I was able to go to my local grocery store and get my labs done and emailed to me within a week. Definitely will be returning in 8-12 weeks.

Customer service never responds. Tried to cancel an order and got no response.Plus, they don't let you choose which lab company you want to go to.

I highly recommend Private MD Labs for lab testing at home. Booking online was simple, and the collection kit made the process smooth. Results came back quickly and were easy to understand. I will be using this service in the future for efficient testing.

Haven't used them, hence the default 3/5 rating, which means they're an okay business. Here's what's not exactly okay:

1. The "$200 off on the first order" deal actually consists of seven $25 coupons that are granted over 7 years, IF you read the fine print. Obviously, getting $200 off your first test could easily mean a free test, so they don't do that. But they bait you with "Get $200 with your 1st order".

2. Prices are simply 20%+ higher than those of WalkinLab, or DiscountedLabs, for any test you want to compare. For instance, SHBG costs $59, but only $49 at WalkInLab. Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy LC/MS/MS costs $69, vs. $49 at WalkInLab. Both use Quest, and these are prices before discounts.

3. PrivateMDLabs has a link to their 5-star ratings on Google Maps, but the location of that "business" is somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. What's up with that?

Based on these observations, I don't really see a reason to use PrivateMDLabs instead of WalkinInLab. I do see that PrivateMDLabs has replied to reviews here, and I appreciate that. Happy to revise my review in light of convincing information I might have missed.

100% trust this company. I ordered labs and the process was very smooth and simple. I had my blood drawn on a Friday and had all results before Monday. This is my go to for lab work now. Fair prices, ease of use, quick results this place is the best.

First time with this company, wow they are amazing. The best way to contact them is by text and they reply quickly and seriously I felt they cared about the results and follow-up. I would definitely pay them for all future testing.

I've only ordered from them a couple of times so far, but each time my purchases were quick, though, and cheap. I love that I can order labs months before my actual appointment, because it makes everything so easy to plan ahead for. Best of all, I had an issue with accidentally ordering the wrong test, and customer service got back to me within 10 minutes(!!!) to help me fix my mistake with absolutely 0 hassle. I'd recommend them for their great prices, great customer service, and the amazing service they provide.

I've been ordering from Private MD Labs for 5 years. Virtually any test you need is available, and the total cost is frequently the same or less than your in-network co-pay. You get the results quickly, and you get the results without a lecture and automatic prescription. Quest Diagnostics' recent decision to discourage walk-ins is an order-of-magnitude step down in convenience, but I'll continue to use this service.

I've been using Private MD Labs for over 10 years now and have never had an issue with ordering, receiving my requisitions, using the requisitions or getting my online results.

I find this service to be an excellent adjunct to my other healthcare and hope they continue to offer this excellent service.

My wife and I have been using this service for a few years now. It is convenient and simple to understand and use. The labs they use should be fairly close to your home. I have zero complaints about the service.
The main reason we use it to exclude a doctor from the process. They are for the most part pill pushers and would love to get you on a prescription to relieve your symptoms, not cure you. Our results have always been spot on. What more can I say about it. I am so pleased with the service and the services they offer.

Private MD Labs is a truly remarkable service. I've used them several times to order my own panels & couldn't be more satisfied. One of my tests even uncovered a potentially-dangerous condition that my own doctor would never have checked for in the first place. That's the beauty of owning your own healthcare; doctors can only do so much. I've also shopped a few competitors, but Private MD Labs had them beat with their electronic documents & more-detailed test descriptions, which is important if you're looking for a specific test method. The requisitions and results come in quickly and prices are reasonable. So if you're looking to take matters of health into your own hands and supplement the care given by your doctor, look no further than Private MD Labs. You will not be disappointed!

Prices are competitive. Customer service is incredibly terrible. Know that if you order a lab test you must use it in a certain time period or they will take your money and void the test. So keep that it mind. There are other companies that have better customer service, and more consumer friendly policies, search them out before using this service! I won't be using them again. Look elsewhere for your tests, IMHO.

When you want or need lab work that your physician won't get you, or maybe you want to know the result before anyone else has to know, this is a great option. It's convenient (easy setup, then lab draws anywhere there's LabCorp or Quest), and fast, and reasonably priced. I've used them a dozen times or so over the years.
