Trust versus a Come on Scam!!!

Disagreed either way their characterization’s that the iPad was a different model. I had very specifically had varied my model.
Recommend Costco.customers never use the service, ever.
Added based on Phobio offer to do so: 07/06/2025
Thank yo for the offer to reply to you telling me again that I mistakingly identified the iPad in question and that's why instead of the estimated $215.00 I only got $65.00 for a Mint, hardly ever used device.
Not much more to say at this point other than we vehemently disagree. Plus it's not worth my time to continue to debate the rights 0r wrongs of what I perceive as a scam - just want other Costco customers to use your service with their eyes open.
Thanks for allowing me to respond>

Thank you for your feedback Ralph.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience. After reviewing your trade, we found that the model received did not match the one selected during the quote process. This caused the quoted value to change, as our trade-in values are tied directly to the exact model and condition selected at checkout.

We understand this can be frustrating, and we’re happy to review any supporting documentation you may have that confirms your device’s model. Our goal is always to offer a fair and transparent trade-in process.

Please feel free to reach out to us at phobiosupport@phobio.com so we can look into this further.

Thank you for your feedback Earl.

We understand your concern with the revised value for your Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G phones. After inspection, both devices were found to have carrier and finance locks—conditions that were not selected when the trade quotes were originally created.

Our trade-in values are based on the specific details provided at the time of quote. If the condition of the device differs upon inspection, the quote is adjusted accordingly to ensure fairness and consistency for all customers.

If you believe this assessment is incorrect, we’re happy to take another look. Please contact us at phobiosupport@phobio.com so we can assist further.

Easy

Easy, however I ended up going to MacMan to ensure my IPAD was not locked and Find Me was off. paid $12.00 for that. Maybe add instructions on that please. The packaging instructions were easy to follow.

Price received was quite low, despite excellent device condition. Phobio sent me three reminder emails to send in the devices even though I had not yet received the shipping boxes. When I finally did get the shipping materials I only had a couple of days to get it them before the "drop-dead" date.

Hi there Winston,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet expectations. We understand how frustrating it can be to receive a lower trade-in value than anticipated—especially when your device was in excellent condition. Trade-in values are determined based on current secondary market demand and the specific model and condition upon inspection.

We also regret the confusion around the shipping timeline. Our reminder emails are automated to help customers stay on track, but we understand how this could be frustrating if the kit hadn’t yet arrived. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we’ll review how we can improve communication around timelines in the future.

If there's anything we can do to help clarify or assist further, please feel free to reach out to us at phobiosupport@phobio.com.

Value changed after trade agreement

The trade was easy. My only complaint is that when I submitted my watch for evaluation it said the trade in value was $33 but when I agreed to the trade, it changed to $32.95. Only $.50 but not what I agreed on. Still glad for the Costco gift certificate.
