I had to file a state insurance division consumer complaint to get them to stop

Please be weary of Philadelphia Insurance! I should have looked up their reviews online first as the reviews are poor on every site. The short version of my experience with Philadelphia: disorganized, lack of response to emails, customer reps state opposing information (there was one rep that was really helpful and knowledgeable, though). I chose them as their fitness insurance policy covers recorded classes – but I found out later it was only if you have a waiver signed for every single class, every time it is viewed – which I was NOT told when I originally purchased a policy with them. They automatically renewed my policy (which I did not want to happen) and canceling took numerous attempts and emails. Even after cancelling they threatened to send my account to collections. I had to file a state insurance division consumer complaint form to successfully get them to stop sending me bills and emails. I cannot imagine how horrific it would have been to try and get them to pay for an actual claim had I had one. My advice is to get insurance elsewhere!

I wish I could give this company 0…

I wish I could give this company 0 stars. They have an invoicing system that DOES NOT NOTIFY YOU of an invoice. Then they charge you $25 for a late fee after not notifying you. Insane scam company but I'm locked in for a year. Worst experience I've ever had with a service provider.

dropped after 20 + years

On August 22, 2024 Philadelphia Indemnity Insurance Company sent me a letter saying they would no longer insure me. After 20+ years with them, we downsized to 3 cars, they dropped us for not having enough vehicles to insure. Which tells me that if they don't make enough money from your policy they drop you.
Typical shyster insurance company.
You might as well use Progressive Insurnace same non customer service for a reduced price. LOL

I had a fitness policy with this…

I had a fitness policy with this company that was coming up for renewal. I no longer teach and indicated cancel in the form they sent to me. I continue to get renewal bills so I called today and was informed there is a "correct" way to cancel. Can you believe this crap? You must supply your name, policy number, date to cancel and a REASON. Like that is none of their business. I said well maybe I just won't pay and you'll cancel me. She says "oh no your policy will just go into lapsed" Having worked in the insurance industry for years these are very shady business practices. I filed a complaint with my state insurance commissioner. I would never recommend doing business with a company that makes you jump through hoops to get rid of them.
