Well seen the 2 that bought over Asda…

Well seen the 2 that bought over Asda don’t read the reviews but are quick to take money from you, service is absolutely shocking, standards are lower than they have ever been, staff are totally uninterested in any sort of customer service & the pharmacy service has got to be the worse in this country. Parkhead Glasgow store really needs to be closed down & reopened but someone else that is willing to put a bit of effort into it. Thank hod for Aldi & Lidl.

Long Eaton Asda Pharmacy

Long Eaton Asda Pharmacy!
What a joke outfit…. Nothing is ever ready on time, they let ques build up and up, people disgruntled but they don’t care. Pharmacist is rude and useless at managing a store, he needs replacing. Shut and have their breaks at the busiest periods when people need to call in on their lunch break or after work. They either don’t have all your items or never have it made up on time, it’s a joke. Save yourself the hassle and choose a different pharmacy to use!

ASDA Pharmacy has been an absolute nightmare. After waiting over a week with zero communication, they randomly declined my Mounjaro jab without any reason. just silence. Trying to get answers is pointless; It’s completely unprofessional and honestly feels like they’re playing with people’s health. Avoid at all costs.

Very poorly organised and managed pharmacy

I have been with the pharmacy now for over three years …
What has happened to this place is anyone’s guess.
Some staff are absolutely lovely, helpful and friendly yet some are the complete opposite.
The frustrating issues are that the pharmacist decides to take there breaks at any time they chose meaning no consistency.
The website clearly states the pharmacists break times yet the ones they take are completely different.
When asking staff how customers are supposed to know the answer was
“Well I don’t know either,
I have no idea it’s just guess work”.
Really really poor!
Arriving at the pharmacy to be told you’ll be waiting onwards of 1 hour or more to collect very much needed medication is not acceptable- or to be told your medication has been given to someone else.
This will most definitely be the last time I visit this unorganised poorly managed pharmacy.

Bad Management, Good Employees

The asda pharmacy is usually absolute dogshit due to the high waiting time based on the very slow computer system they use and the fact that they are understaffed. I would not recommend Asda as a pharmacy, because the Asda brand has become horrible lately.

However, this 5 star review is specifically for Janet. She encountered an elderly abusive customer who held up the queue for everyone else. She took charge by explaining that he needed to call his GP, then ignored his tantrum and served everyone else in a timely manner. It is this kind of behaviour that prevents me from changing pharmacies.

Never buy from ASDA Pharmacy as a…

Never buy from ASDA Pharmacy as a private customer. They charge you premium prices but treat you like an NHS patient. i.e. they don't answer calls or respond to messages and deliver the product you paid a premium price - late, if at all. There are better, more competitive chemists out there who will treat you with more respect.

Still No Medication - Failure to deliver a refrigerated medication

They have failed to deliver my Mounjaro weight loss medication. When contacted, they said I had to wait 6 days for an “investigation” by DPD. I was expecting delivery on May 20th and the information said that the medication had to be refrigerated immediately. This has been 8 days so far and will be two weeks after the “investigation”. Surely the medication will be unusable by this point. This is my first attempt to use Asda pharmacy and will be my last. Back to Boots!
UPDATE - Now 2nd June and I have had no reply from Asda . Their appalling customer service takes close to an hour to answer the phone and then only platitudes.

Medication clearly opened by someone before they delivered it to me. They refuse to answer who and why it was opened or if it’s safe to use so now £208 went in the bin coz u can’t consume unsealed medicine

Received my medication with the box torn open, the contents scattered and wrapped in a plastic bag, clearly the box was torn open before it was sent out since they needed to wrap the contents in a plastic bag unlike all previous deliveries. They will not provide an answer to whether the medication is safe to use, whether this package has been purchased and opened then returned by another customer. They wouldn’t provide any explanations to why the box was torn opened at the top like you would normally open a medicine box, not like it was squished during delivery or anything like that, it was clearly intentionally opened. £208 and they won’t bother provide any explanations or even bother answering. And when I called, waited 30 minutes on hold then whoever answered heard my concerns, asked me to hold while they check, then simply hung up. Never answered my calls again. I’ve been waiting for a week for an answer and I cannot take the medication without clear confirmation and assurances. So... Read more

Very poor, barely operational.

This is about the ASDA in store pharmacy Handsworth Sheffield UK.

I expected a text to say my medication was due to be collected. After 6 days I started "trying" to phone them. They did not answer the phone for 2 days, the call simply cut off after 2 minutes. Eventually some one answered the phone and said my prescription was ready and they didnt know why I had not been texted. Visited the store the next day and my medication was NOT ready. . I can not find anyway to find out the pharmacy managers name, the ASDA store say its nothing to do with them. Opening hours are NOT correct. They seem to be closed during lunch hours, They forget that a lot of people can only get during dinner hours. With electronic prescriptions you can not simply take your custom else where. This Pharmacy needs some serious attention and restructuring.
