My parents tried to get a loan a year ago from PERL and the loan officer they used was James Counihan, Needless to say, horrible communication and they did not receive a loan!!!! Issued a bogus "Pre-approval" letter that meant absolutely nothing. James never called or emailed to update or inform any part of the loan process or status. Had to call the main office line to have him paged so that he could call back. Botched the loan causing them not to have anywhere to live! Glad to hear that PERL got bought out by another company and that James Counihan now works at Chase Mortgage. But if you do go to Chase for a mortgage, don't use him. He's a horrible loan officer.

My husband and I refinanced our home with PERL. The customer service was beyond top notch! The team was professional, friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable. They took the time to patiently answer all of our questions and guided us through the whole process. We truly appreciate each one of the PERL team for the constant communication and making this whole experience stress free!! They were even present at closing to ensure everything ran smoothly!! From the first phone call with the parent team of PERL mortgage, to closing day, we cannot be more pleased!!
I would recommend PERL to all of my family and friends!!

I was shocked to discover a County Financial Home Insurance policy was put on my account without my consent. It was signed by a financial representative of PERL. I had it immediately removed. When I called him, I still remained confused about how that occurred. Now that I am settled into my new home, I am ready to investigate the matter. On my closing date, my family friend and seller of the house attended the closing with his lawyer. My agent was nice and she gave me a nice black and gold PERL toolbox case with a 8 inch penlight screwdriver inside of it. Although the toolbox case was nice, I thought it was rather odd to receive a tool box case after purchasing a house for thousands of dollars. Not to mention, I do not even have any tools to put inside of it.

Every employee that helped us refinance our home was over the top helpful. We had a great expierence at PERL. We were always able to reach the employees via phone and email after “normal” business hours to ask questions that we had, or to just discuss the process further so we made sure we understood everything that was happening, and to have clarity on the next steps when it came to our refinancing. All in all, the thing I love best about PERL is how easy they made the process of refinancing our home to be. We refinanced in a timely manner, which was nice, too. I would recommend PERL Mortgage to anyone.

Working with Chris Crandall at PERL Mortgage was fantastic!! Chris was super professional, well organized, personable, and clearly communicated each detail of each step throughout the process of securing our home loan. Mark and his team at Pearl in Yucca Valley CA were great! I felt like out of all the people that were supposed to be working for me throughout my long house buying process The ladies and gentlemen at Pearl were the only ones working with my best interest in mind. Mark at Perl was amazing throughout the process. I just closed on my new house today! During the entire process, Mark was always available by phone and email to field any questions I had. Even on Christmas day! It was their customer service that ultimately led me to select them over the other lenders I received quotes from. Not only was Mark able to match or beat the numbers I was quoted by the others, he flat out treated me better as well.
