Citibank offers no credit card protection…

Citibank is a very bad place to have a credit card with. They do not stand behind the product protection that is usually offered by a credit card. I had a situation where a company would not refund my money for a defective product they sold me, so I reached out to Citibank for help since I placed the order on my credit card. They immediately denied any help & I got stuck with a bad product. They are no help, regardless of your outstanding status with them. They could care less. Never again!

Would Never Bank Here

Customer service for retirement services is in the Philippines. Robotic and best. They have a playbook they operate under and can't even connect you with someone in the United States. They don't even have email. They want you to "fax" documents. I got rid of my "fax" number years ago. Who uses "fax" anymore?

CITI CC. AVOID!

We use a CITI CC as a backup card only for offshore purchases. Compared to our default Discover Card or AMEX, it's a nightmare. We find CITI offshore customer service about the worst we've encountered anywhere in the world. By turns, its attendants are difficult to understand. English is not their first language, they are often churlish and speak as though they are scripted with an overlay of gratuitous politeness. CITI, therefore is one financial services group to avoid however arresting any credit card offers may seem.

Returned a package of Christmas pjs…

Returned a package of Christmas pjs that not only were not what I ordered but arrived after Christmas. No refund company says they never received. Routing says they did. Citi says it is not fraud. I have to pay. $188.00 + interest, and I have nothing.

Great customer service by Larry

Great customer service by Larry. I’m very skeptical of all the bad reviews and wonder if I just got scammed because the customer service that I had is day and night compared to all the one-stars.

AVOID Business or Banking with Citi in UAE

Zero support from customers service after I was very frustrated with my recent experience over the phone with their unprofessional agent and their customer service support after reviewing my case. You should follow up many times and make sure what they are doing. I don’t trust them anymore.

I have been with Citi for over 7 years

I have been with Citi for over 7 years. I use the Citi mobile app.
All my disputes get solved right away. The customer service has been good so far. All of the reps have been very nice.
It scares me to see all the bad reviews. The only thing is that I haven’t really checked if I’m receiving all the points. I just wonder if all the funds are correctly adjusted as I use my card and payments. I don’t know if there is fraud there but I don’t think so.
So far I am happy with the Citi bank mobile and the nice customer service even if they have an accent.

I am sick and tired of calling the help…

I am sick and tired of calling the help line. These people are incompetent and not informed at all. Everytime you call you get a different answer. It takes 10 days for a credit to clear, when I called I got three different answers. Ridiculous.

Not trustworthy

I called to cancel my credit card and inquired about the status of a card I applied for. The rep was going to transfer me the correct department but it was late and I told her I’ll just wait for an email. I went online to make sure the cancellation went through and what I found was a high interest credit card I never applied for!! Never WOULD apply for. I contacted them to tell them I did not apply for that card, nor do I want it. Of course they’re in India and I had to attempt this three times!! That card is still showing in my account.

Don’t ever opt for a citi Credit card

Don’t ever opt for a citi Credit card. Especially the Costco Citi card. They will lower your credit limit with no notice which hurts your credit score by lowering your debt ratio! It is unacceptable I will freeze this card and tell everyone this bank is a scam!

Citibank:Crappy Incomptent Thievies Idiots.

Citi Bank is the worst bank I ever delt with in the last 40 years.
My bank account that was on auto pay to pay Citibank in full every month was copomised. I let them know in advance before bill was due. l actually wound up paying the bill 4 times in full. Shows on statement. I cant comprehend why they closed my account took our 900.00 in rewards, charged 208.00 in interest two 41.00 late fees and a 49.99 cyber security fee???
Thieves. Wish there were 5 negative stars. Spent 10 hours on phone over 6 weeks and still no results. They owe me moeny which has not been recieved.
No customer service. Lies cheating stealing taking advantage of time wasting ridicoulous incompetent unreasonable, will waste your time with unenpowered incompetent representatives want to waste your time till you give up or go away leaving them with your hard earned dollars. It is truley unbelievable that a company can be so blatantly scamming and stay in businesses.I would never do business with these thieves. They suck is not even close to describing the incompetence, lack of discernment thinking ability, insight or reasoning. How can Americans Airlines and Costco get in bed with these people. Be ready to recieve nothing and be totally taken advantage of. STAY AWAY OR YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF BY THESE THIEVES.
CALCULATONG THIEVES THAT COULD CARELESS ABOUT CUSTOMERS. TRULEY THE MOST INCOMPETENT WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER EXPERIENCED.
They are just to big and it is obvious from this review and others they do not care. Citibanks business practices or absolutely unethical. They actually steal from thier customers and it needs to be made known and stopped.

Will be posting experience with every means possible. BBB, Redit, Costco, AA, Home Depo, Attorney General etc.
Citi Bank is the absolute worst!

CITIBANK SUCKS

CITIBANK SUCKS!

Their new tier policies and bonus offers are complete lie and scam. So many hidden conditions they haven't mentioned in the offer page. They used it to later escape from giving the promised bonus like for example - money cannot be pulled into citi account from another external account, the external account need to push it to citi account. What BS, the money is any way coming into citi as new money from external account in the same person's name only. Why deny the offer. They kept my $32000 in a checking account luring with a $500 bonus for 4 months. Didn't give any bonus or the interest. The money came from a high interest saving account in capital one bank which was giving 4.5% interest, lost around $400 in my interest from the capital one account. Citibank really sucks.
Also today my wife's $500 bonus was also rejected after keeping $30k for 4 months saying that the promotiomal offer code was not found in the application. She still has that promotional code numbers with her and wanted to share with the customer agent but instead she kept insisting send a request explaining your case it to a physical address of citi bank, they don't even have an email address for complaints resolution. How do we guarantee after that effort the letter will reach them and anyone even read and reply that. The fraud citibank can again reply saying - send us a proof that you sent a letter to us at citibank client services, 100 citibank drive, San Antonio TX 78245.
She also lost $400 interest around from another bank where the money could have generated it at 4.5% annual rate.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUDSTER, SCAMY AND SHADY BANK. ME AND MY WIFE BOTH HAVE CLOSED THEIR CHECKING ACCOUNTS HERE TODAY AND YESTERDAY.

Negative 10 Stars

Negative 10 Stars. Citibank is THE WORST. It's funny when one has all the information regarding a phone call where their customer service rep gave incorrect information that, they, Citibank suddenly "can't find that phone call and there was no wrong doing on their part"; even though they record the phone calls! Don't they? They say they do. I can tell them the exact date, time and how long the call lasted (it saves that info on your cell phone). This customer service rep gave me incorrect information when I opened a new card. Also, when I received the card, the terms were not the same as the one's I was given on the approval online. Sketchy. I filed a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (which didn't really do anything either). If you attempt to call the "Executive Team" to give further information, you are just given the major run around. I have made four phone calls and during each call the rep says "you will receive a phone call within two business days"...well, here we are, months later and I received one phone call. Try to return that call and I go right back to "you will receive a phone call within two business days". Too bad millions of people, including myself, couldn't say bye-bye to credit cards. They certainly don't care if they are in the wrong and the customer will never win a dispute....ever.

Can you give a -10 review of Citi visa…

Can you give a -10 review of Citi visa and Mastercard? If so that is Mt rating for a company that has its representative provide false information
Citi's computer system is programed in such a way that false information is given that a payment was not received when in fact is was received before the cut off date. This has happened twice. It appeases this is deliberate. I have been told payments are electronically processed, even on weekends, but the representatives will tell your payment was not received, then you make another payment to cover what may be a lost payment, then discover they had the original and then refuse to reimburse the second one, applying it to an account even with an outstanding credit history...no reason to keep the second payment when you haven't even been billed. They just did this with my Citi visa account with Costco. This, and some questionable quality issues with Costco recently means the account needs to be reevaluated.

Citi Doesn't Care About Supporting It's Customers

I have a credit card with Citi, and it was blocked by fraud prevention. So they told me to call their support to get it unblocked. I spent a lot of time going through their automated system with broken and distorted audio, only to be routed to their fraud prevention department. When I get there I get a message that they are having technical difficulties and to call back in a few hours. That's been the same message for the last few hours. If I use their help chatbot it tells me it doens't understand my question and then offers instead to give me information on my card balance. After a while of chatting with it and it telling me it can only help me with meaningless things that I could easily find on the website, it says it will connect me with a representative and then nothing happens. If I call Citi customer service automated system and ask for customer service, it tries to force me to use the automated system and direct me back to the broken fraud prevention line. So if I can finally get the automated system to send me to general help, it just hangs up the phone on me. Citi offers no other methods of contact on their website because they don't want to pay for human customer support, and they don't want to pay for an automated customer support that is more advanced then they were in the year 2000. Citi doesn't care at all about it's customers.
