What a poor customer service!!
What a poor customer service!!
I purchased a PintX a while ago which started to show operation errors a few months ago. I sent the diagnostic, reached out to the customer service which diagnosed that the issue was coming from the controller module. In Jan 2025, I bought a new controller module for a total of $329. 3 months later, the board stopped working, showing an error 16. Customer service diagnostic: "The controller module is malfunctioning".
They want me to buy a new controller and a new battery for more than $850 even though I already spent more than $300 on a part that stopped working within 3 months.
They won't refund my last purchase. I proposed to pay $200 ($500 - $300) for a new battery which they refused.
Beware of these fraudulent practices. Their products are not reliable and they just want your money!!
What a shame!! The concept is great but the execution is very poor.

Onewheel GT,
Onewheel GT,
Do not buy one of these unless you live in the US.
I'm in Western Australia and my GT, less that 2 years old, proceeded to go full speed in reverse with no one on it, went for around 100m and then crashed into a tree. So now it wont turn on and there is clearly a problem with the sensor pad (now aware of the recall but was not informed about this being in Australia).
In Australia, no support, no repair option, no service - just, buy another battery from our website and buy another sensor pad from our website and it might work. They're claiming no responsibility, they offer no discount code to buy new parts, they will not pay for postage to their service centre, but Paul (future motion) keeps on replying claiming good service. No loyalty to good customers as I've bought 3 of these as i clearly like them.
Very disappointing as I've outlaid thousands of $$'s for these expensive units and DEAD inside 2 years.
Even tried emailing the owner with no response.

Terrible Company
Made an account just to say this is the worst business I have had to deal with. There customer service is next to none and they have horrible business practices to ensure they take the most money from you as possible and if anything goes wrong they try to dodge the blame. Avoid if possible.

Poor service…
I bought a Pint X from a local official dealer, I can register my board.... I ask to to the customer service to do it: "they can't do it"...
The registration process is complicated, impossible and password request is more complicated than my bank...
Very disappointed from the support...

Don't Buy Pint S
Not as advertised. I bought the Pint S and it is advertised to go 20 mph but the pushback is 17 mph and the haptic buzz is 18mph. Don't make the same mistake I did, It only goes 18 mph.
Another thing is that all of the reviews on the Onewheel website are fake.

customer service
Dear One Wheel,
I address you because this review is for you and you only. I don't care if people buy from you because I'm sure they will. However, I will never again because you are so disappointing with your "warranty" and "policies".
You ruined my son's Christmas. Five minutes after he opened his "big" Christmas gift, it failed to work and received error code 23. We had to wait two days after Christmas to reach your "customer service" to be told that we had to send the unit off for repairs that would take up to 2 1/2 weeks out of the box, with no exceptions. That is ridiculous. Fine, you have a faulty product; send us a new one and fix your "crappy" one on your own time. From my experience, the only companies that operate this way are either cheap or greedy. In your case, after watching multiple videos on YouTube, I'm going with greed. This is no way to operate; even Best Buy does better, and that is sad. I do not know how in the H-E-DOUBLE-HOCKEY STICKS you can manage this way and stay in business. Absolutely disappointing.
Signed one sad Mother on Christmas morning.

Expensive to fix, can't do it yourself.
My board bricked and after spending hundreds of dollars replacing the modules, come to find out the software will not allow the board to work unless it is fixed by the company themselves. I would have to ship it to California and they would charge me who knows how much to fix it. So I am stuck with a broken board that has completely functional hardware... Next time I'll go with a board where there is right to repair. Disappointing.

Appalling customer service
Appalling customer service. My onewheel stopped working after an update forced by future motion. After I contacted them with the fault code, they said it was acoincidence (!!!) and not their fault and I have to send the board over to USA at my own expense and pay for the repair as its out of warranty. To me they are heartless scammers who want to force getting a new board purchase.

Just look at all the injuries reported on these things and you will know their quality. The thing is, if something goes wrong with the internals, then you are going down. Connectors are unreliable (which is why they can’t say it’s water proof) and have reportedly one loose from normal riding. If you want something that can only be officially maintained in California and have the warranty invalid by any type of outside repair, then this is the board for you. There are many better options on the market that won’t dump you the second something fails.

They only care about you buying the board, after that they are very unhelpful. I wish I read all the terrible reviews before parting with my money!
Boards don't last and at their price tag the customer service really should be better!

5 Star Product, 3 Star Company
The product is unparalleled, but their decisions aren't always consumer-friendly.
For a Trustpilot review, I will say that I have only had good experiences with Future Motion in my four years of riding. I usually buy boards second-hand, so I don't always go through them.
My Pint X broke a year and a half ago. I submitted a ticket, received a shipping label, and got the board back in the mail about 2 weeks later. This isn't a huge deal for me, since my Pint X was my 'other' board for riding with friends or doing random tricks I would want a light board for. When I got it back, they had replaced the entire battery module. Clearly, after 600 miles on that board, the battery must have a pretty severe design flaw to make it cut out so soon, but they honored their warranty and the repair was free.
I have opted to go the DIY route for riding Onewheels in the future because I'm capable of making repairs on my own when needed, but FM provides a top-to-bottom easy solution for transportation, fun, and unique adventure!
I would recommend a pint to anyone on a tight budget and wanting to ride.
A Pint X is a better option for those who are skeptical but not on a budget - resale values for Pint X on the used market are closer to the new value.
The GT is probably where I would point everyone over 175 lbs, who loves to ride very far, or with big feet. You can find them second-hand for about $1600 on the low end. I got mine for $1500 with 5 miles on it, came with a Hypercharger and everything!
If you're a first-time rider, don't waste your money on a GT S-Series. Yes, those boards are fast, but it takes time to build muscle memory and balance to let you reach a consistent 20 mph, let alone 25 or beyond. Pricing for GT-S is through the roof because dedicated racers will pay any amount in sponsor money for the fastest board, not because it's more expensive to manufacture. (It's actually cheaper than a GT from the factory, considering it has 9 fewer battery cells and it shares most of the assembly line with the GT)

replacement concave footpads don't work…
replacement concave footpads don't work reliably under 60F temperature. Constant disconnects and dangerous unexpected cut-outs. New pads are dangerous. Original footpad grip tape cannot be replaced without replacing $150 footpads. What a scam.

Anti consumer
Anti consumer, aways first to blame the consumer even if it is there issue. Will not provide any support to there overpriced products.
Look elsewhere for your floating needs as FM is the worse company I have had to deal with in a long time. Wish I would have never ordered from them, love the product hate the company so much that is ruined the products fun. Floatwheel or VESC is the way to go!

Would have given a 6
One wheel enthusiast since 2020 and I would have given a 6star until software update. I own 3, 1wheels. The 1.0 1wheel, then the Pint, and then I bought GT upon release. LOVED pint and GT….until the new app DL for 1 wheel and now it’s slow and some stupid alarm goes off the whole time while riding. Never heard that until the app DL. Done w/ 1 wheel after spending $5+k and then f’n w/ my rides with that update.back to my skate boards, KTMs and walking b/c I can walk faster w/o stupid alarms going off

2017: The year my OneWheel tried to kill me
Owned a OneWheel back in 2017. The device failed as I was cruising between work and classes in Cleveland, Ohio. I was going a significant speed and the front suddenly dropped to the pavement and pitched me off onto it. It tore my rotator cuff and biceps tendon, and I got a bone fleck in my upper arm. By the conclusion of physical therapy, I ended up losing about 30-40% of function in that arm. I informed Future Motion and they asked me to return the OneWheel for a "free tune-up". I took that to mean that they wanted to wipe the data on it, so I never did. The bottom line: These devices are nothing like Segways, which are very stable. They are prone to failure and can seriously injure or kill even the most experienced riders. You've been warned. (Date of experience should read 'circa summer of 2017')

0 stars if I could
0 stars if I could, bought a Onewheel GT, it worked for a month, then the sensors footpad stopped working. Had to pay $80 to ship it back into one wheel, they claim it’s working just fine, when I got it back same thing, almost impossible to get the motors to engage, and when the do it’ll randomly just turn off…this thing is a death trap. $2300 piece of junk…DONT BUY

I bought a One Wheel Pint from Future…
I bought a One Wheel Pint from Future Motion a few months ago. Everything was going fine until July 18th. I was taking a casual ride up to the gym when my board suddenly stopped on a dime at full speed sending me flying into the sidewalk. Board had a full charge, I was riding properly and safely, no obstructions on the side walk. Wearing all appropriate safety gear. There is no warning about this in the safety tutorials and instructions. Even one of their associates told me over the phone that this was not supposed to happen. This accident sent me to the ER with bruised ribs and a fractured right hand. I'm lucky it didn't send me flying into rush hour traffic. I sent the board in for evaluation and they "couldn't find anything" wrong with it. I asked for a refund, despite the no refund policy, because I didn't trust the board or the company anymore. They denied. Their explanation was this, "it's the magic of the board." They suggested that I sell their unsafe board to someone else. Well, I wasn't going to put someone else's life in danger so I surrendered it back to them so that they could at least dispose of it properly or get some use out of it. With me it would've just ended up in the dumpster. After the accident, a recall notice was issued for a firmware update. Turns out, the issue that prompted the recall is exactly what caused my accident. And I wasn't the only one who experienced it. Thinking this was irrefutable proof that the board was unsafe to ride at the time of the accident, I again asked for a refund. Future Motion is sticking to their no refund policy despite the fact that their board was deemed unsafe by the CPSC. The lack of good business ethics in this situation is absolutely appalling. To add more frustration to the matter, I used Klarna for financing. Both Klarna and Future Motion have both been giving me the runaround claiming neither of them have the power to do anything about the situation. Which is absolutely ridiculous.
