I have had the exact same problem. I ordered 2 dresses. Returned both and have proof of delivery. It’s been over 6 weeks. I have emailed several times and called several times. Still no resolution. I was offered a gift card and replied I wanted a refund.
The dress was beautiful but as a result of not crediting for the return I will no longer order from Olivela and wouldn’t recommend.

I ordered two dresses. Both were beautiful just way too small for my normal size. Anyway returned promptly and well over 30 days later have not received a refund. Roughly $1600. Have never experienced this before. The company has responded to my inquiries but has asked me to be patient. Personally think that this is way too long to be left in limbo on a refund especially of this size and reached out to Amex to handle it.

I bought a dress on April 9th and it was delivered on April 14th.
Sadly, the dress was way too large. I carefully put it back in the original packaging and requested the return on that day, April 14th. I dropped it off at the FedEx store on April 16th.
To my surprise, I received a note on April 28th saying the return was denied. I immediately called to ask why. When I didn’t get a response, I sent an email asking for the reason as all return criteria had been met as far as I knew. I sent another email April 29th and again on April 30th. Finally, on April 30th, I received a response saying that the tags on the garment had been removed so the return was denied. That is a blatant lie. I sent a letter to the VP of Experience at Olivela via LinkedIn with no response. I sent letters to NY and Columbus with no response. I just filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I see this has happened to a number of people. Avoid this company at all costs.
Update on June 10th: No one from the company has contacted me yet, even though they said they would!

Olivela confirmed they received my return on April 23. As the 14-business-day refund window approached, they reiterated their policy—until the deadline passed. Then came this BOT reply: “Our returns team is experiencing a temporary delay... we expect to be back on track very soon.”
Still no refund, no phone support, no resolution. This has been incredibly frustrating and unacceptable for any business, but especially upscale women’s clothing store.

DO NOT USE! I made a return and it's been over a month to get a refund - I looked online and appears I am not alone. I would never recommend using them unless you know you will not have a return! The bot reply then offered me $100 for my inconvenience. Do not be tricked! Also they will say "we have reached out" to make things right and they don't. I have finally had to get my Credit Card company involved.

My return was delivered over a month ago, confirmed by tracking, and I still have not received the refund. Website states it takes 14 days for returns to process and it has now been more than double that. I have contacted customer support and was just told there are “temporary delays” and to “rest assured” I will receive it eventually with no specific time frame. Due to this continued negative experience, I would not purchase from them again.

I returned several dresses to OLIVELA nearly a month ago. They confirmed receipt of the return, but to this day, I have not received my refund. Every time I reach out, I get vague responses about "delays" with no resolution in sight.
This is completely unacceptable. Holding on to customers’ money for weeks after a return has been processed is not only unprofessional—it’s infuriating. I’ve shopped online with many retailers, and I’ve never experienced such poor service or such a lack of accountability.
If you're thinking of ordering from OLIVELA—don’t. There are far better, more reliable places to shop. I deeply regret placing an order with them and strongly advise others to stay away.

Update. I returned my order of $770.00 due to the 2 items not fitting. The items are beautiful and, if they had fit, I would've kept them! It took a couple of months to receive my refund due to the company having a backload of returns. I have been refunded the total for my returns minus about $30 for restocking fee.

Whatever the reason (understaffed? tech issues?), the disorganization and so-called "backlog" needs to be dealt with or your business isn't going to survive.
