I booked transport

I booked transport - an ambulance for a person in a wheelchair, I gave information that the wheelchair is a bit longer but we used the ambulance and it was ok. Today they sent a taxi for wheelchairs, but my son's wheelchair was not compatible with the taxi, so the visit was cancelled. The people working there do not listen at all to what is being said to them, I explained that there must be an ambulance, but they know better. This is not the first time that an appointment has to be cancelled because the driver refuses to take a patient in a wheelchair.

This is for the evil wan who answered…

This is for the evil woman who answered 999 (not the Ambulance workers who i got 5 hours later via another method). Was writhing in agony for 3 hours vomiting and felt like my body was being crushed alive. The pain was horrendous I was unable to get away. Couldnt stand amd crawled to my cats bed. Had took take triple amount of painkillers I luckily have at home after the lady on the 999 call denied to send me out a Ambulance & wanted me to wait for another call from someone else when at this point I coukd no longer speak or breath from pancreatic pain. Pure Evil. This is why I never go to hospitals even when I've had Sepsis or kidney infections because they're evil. Jist think our N.I paid these monsters upfront!!! Their high salaries N.I is 20x more out my wages than private health insurance. Never should've been allowed. We'd see alot better attitude if these people were paid AFTER Services rendered like everyone else. That dispatcher needs sacking!!! For refusing to send a Ambulance for emergency treatment needed

Simply The Best

Ste and Callum the paramedic and technician who are based at Chorley ambulance station came to me at 3.00am on Easter bank holiday Monday
They were totally professional but at the same time put me at ease as it was obvious they knew what they were doing
Gave me pain relief before we set off on our journey to the Royal Bolton Hospital A&E department (they even locked the house for me and made sure my keys were in my pocket so I was safe in the knowledge that everything was secure whilst I was away from home)
Very easy to talk to and had a good chat all the way to the hospital which made me feel even more at ease
Great guys first class
Thank you so much

Rang for an ambulance twice for my mum…

Rang for an ambulance twice for my mum who had confusion, congestive heart failure, was standing in bare feet in the rain but couldn't feel them , they where swollen, toe nails hanging off , eyes sunken into head , unwashed . Lesions sores on legs . Had a phone call from a chap from this service , 23. 1 . 25 at 15.15 who cancelled the ambulance because when he spoke to mum she was making sense .
We took her to Kendal urgent treatment centre ourselves ...then she was taken by ambulance to Lancaster, then to Preston royal.
Where she was treated for sepsis , she then had her leg amputated and an angioplasty in her remaining leg .
She's still in hospital 4 weeks later.
The call handler I spoke to that cancelled the ambulance I found to be dismissive in his attitude towards me , resulting in frustration for me that waited for 2 and half hours in the rain for help that wasn't coming for my mum that was clearly ill . Disgusting shameful attitude by the call handler . All NHS staff have been fantastic treating mum , apart from the call handler that looked for any excuse to not send the ambulance that she ended up in anyway ?!!!!

A calming influence at the other end of…

A calming influence at the other end of the line when I called 999. Advised ambulance would take 45-60 minutes, it was there within 20. Thank you

More specifically paramedics Hannah & her partner were kind, patient, showed genuine concern. All symptoms were assessed thoroughly. My GP surgery had twice turned me away with no appointment in 5 days despite my infection. Massive thank you.

NHS Incompetence adding to patient misery.

At risk of echoing previous reviews, and again this is no criticism of the ambulance crews. The system is absolutely broken, with call centres staffed by incompetent people. Staff would prefer to quote GDPR as a reason for not assisting in locating a missing 89yr old patient, taken by ambulance from a care home and then lost in the NHS system, with all local hospitals denying receiving him. He was eventually located in the OPRAH unit at Blackburn Hospital, despite Blackburn A&E insisting on three occasions that he had not been taken to Blackburn. This isn`t a funding issue, this is incompetence.

Very kind paramedics

Very kind paramedics Dan and his colleague whose surname was Walker came to my aid at my Doctors Surgery as I had collapsed in the lift with pneumonia.
They really looked after me and genuinely cared about me. They were very knowledgable and made sure I was safe and comfortable and gave me a nebuliser and monitored my breathing and obs.
I couldn’t have asked for better help and kindness and I’m so very grateful to them both. They make a great team.
Loved the glasses!

A huge thank you the most professional ladies. Kirsty and Georgia - Cheshire Ambulance Service

A huge thank you the most professional, delightful, helpful and most caring ladies!

An ambulance was called out for my 83 year old mother by 111, who was only days discharged from hospital after diagnosed with sepsis. Kirsty and Georgia were truly amazing!

They diligently assessed my mother medically, however additionally took the time to actively listen to historical events which have been ongoing and brought us to this point.

They followed up with other professionals, which resulted in a referral to hospital at home.

I can’t thank them enough for their true empathy in the situation and their truly professional and caring approach.

These ladies are a true asset to the Cheshire ambulance service and this needs to be acknowledged.

I pray their passion to help people in time of need grows and continues to bless other families which they support; and thank them from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you 🙏

They were the best

On Aug 26th 2024 I called for an ambulance at 3am . They were wonderful and did everything they could to save my husband. Unfortunately it was to no avail but certainly not to the lack of effort and the help they gave me. Well done.

My Dad has been waiting 6 hours. Someone has just phoned and triaged him for a third time, even though an out of hours doctor has been and requested an ambulance. Ah well! It is only 3 am on Sunday morning.
Now it is 6.50 and still waiting.

Heartfelt Thanks to the NWAS A465…

On the 29th of April, 2024, my family faced the sudden passing of my stepfather. The North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) A465 team was exceptional during this challenging time. Despite the tragic outcome, their efforts were outstanding, and my family and I are deeply grateful. The team's commitment was unwavering from the moment they arrived. We find solace in knowing that my stepfather received the best chance of revival. The team gave their all; we are eternally grateful. My mother and I extend our heartfelt thanks to the NWAS A465 team.

Phoned for an ambulance at the end of…

Phoned for an ambulance at the end of August 2023 after having a stroke. They said there were none! Asked me several questions and then sent me a taxi. The hospital did not know I was coming when I arrived so ended up waiting 30 hours for a bed. They 'centralised' the service some years ago. What a mistake!

Arranged a pick up for my Mum who has…

Arranged a pick up for my Mum who has fractured her pelvis. Appointment was at 3pm with 30 min journey.
Text received at 1.41 to say they are on their way.
Still not arrived at 2.20 so call and am told they are delayed and will be 10-15 mins and will confirm to hospital that we will be late.
Still not arrived at 3.20 so call again and after 20 mins in queue I am told that they could not get here due to road closures and have aborted. No phone call or text was received to inform us and the only road that is closed in the area is in the country lanes.
Absolute rubbish excuse and lies and they did not even have the decency to call us. Furthermore on calling the hospital we now have to wait a further 5 days for an urgent appointment and this ambulance service did not even call them as they promised.
Tried to call to make a complaint and they only work until 2pm.
Please avoid at all costs.
