Initially offered free storage and now they only offer 500mb free. A complete bait and switch scam company. They will tell you the reason they changed models is because of rising engineering costs and 'storage fees', but are conveniently quiet when you ask why, then, do they charge a subscription for using your google photos account?

Go to a competitor. Never use this company.

Time to ditch my Nixplay Frames

I have 2 frames.
I now have to pay for a subscription? Talk about a rip off. Your whole website spends a lot of effort trying to con you into buying more and more frames...
I tried to get the 7 day free trial but it didn't work "payment failed"
My frame won't work on the basis settings now.

Absolutely and completely disappointed…

Absolutely and completely disappointed in this company to promise a lifetime unlimited uploads and then switch it to 500mb is joke. I am joining the many others that are pursuing the class action lawsuit in California

Previously a very useful device

Previously a very useful device, linked to google photos and able to be easily updated now entirely useless without a paid susbcription! No option for local storage on my model so can't even change anything.

Would recommend no one ever get a Nixplay Device as they change functionality years after purchasing.

Nixplay subscription

After many years with various picture frames ( all Nixplay ) the company decided to limit your storage amount. They now offer a subscription to get what you always had for free. I have 839mb of pictures and they have locked 330mb ( my amount over 500 ) and the only way to release them is to pay the subscription.
Beware when buying from this company.
Not reliable
Not trustworthy
Look around and buy any other picture frame than Nixplay

Ripped off

I used to love Nixplay and highly recommended it to my friends. However, due to the sudden subscription charges which were never advertised when I bought it, the product is worthless junk. Do not buy as they will charge whatever they want, whenever they want.

This picture frame cost $150.00

This picture frame was bough for $150.00 unlimited. As of April 2025 now they charge. We did not buy Nixplay to have basic coverage. $150 dollars is a lot of money. If I would have knew this $150.00 was going to change a year later to only cover the basic we would have never purchased from your company. There are other companies that offer picture frames at no cost to have more megabites than I have downloaded. This is the biggest ripoff. Nixplay stole from my children and myself. Nixplay company are thieves, Not telling us there will be a cost once we have your purchase in 1 year. You are crooks! This is not right!

Switch and bait

I gave as a gift then they rolled out a subscription and the recipient now can't see all their photos and is asking ME why they have to pay. I didn't want to gift someone a financial obligation to see and enjoy photos of their family.

Money hungry company

I purchased several years ago and loved it. Then they rolled out their subscription program. Now after being able to view over 100 photos I am limited to 27!!! 27 freaking photos after paying $120 for this frame! Unreal!

Nixplay rip off

I bought my frame took my photos and displayed them for years without paying, I only display photos. Now they have a charge associated with this and my frame is now limited and I think it is robbery of my digital frame and photos.
Don’t buy this one Pic-star has no charges and offers more for free. Nixplay is not worth the rip off

I chatted with a staff member who recognized my concern and immediately and quite easily assisted me in solving my dilemna. The staff member was very patient and the instructions I was given were very clearly stated. Great experience

Don't do it

Started out fine and then they decided I had to pay an annual subscription. I paid it begrudgingly and they still did not give me the storage I paid for. It took multiple contacts and they were unable to fix it. They finally gave me my money back but were very rude about it. I found another option and will never go through them again.

I emailed Nix play and I had a very…great experience.

I emailed Nix play and I had a very nice gentleman help me name, Joe. After I reset my Nixplay I had trouble restoring it to get my pictures back. Then with the step-by-step instructions. I received by email from Joe. I got everything up and running in about 15 minutes compared to trying to do it on my own.
Needless to say, I was very, very happy to see my pictures again and have them rotating.

Nixplay company is terrible

I've had a Nixplay frame for about 4 years and loved it. Just recently it stopped working after I upgraded to the Nixplay Plus. Contacted customer service and they said they discontinued the model and would offer 50% to upgrade to a much more expensive frame. I had a back up frame still in box. It didn't work either. I think it's terrible that a company doesn't support their product and never informed their customers of the change. If they decide to discontinue a model they should replace it with another model, not have the consumer purchase it again. I will never purchase another Nixplay frame, so many other companies out there that do a better job.

Where's my order?

Where's my order?

It's a simple question. A question in the age of real time tracking and AI support. Nixplay should be able to answer this.

I've spent hours on this and have finally gotten, 'you will receive an email with a tracking number tomorrow'. I have a shipping notification, an online status of fulfilled and, on another page, ready to ship.

Asking for a supervisor- they're in a meeting. Asking for a cancelation, I'll escalate.

I don't want it escalated. I just don't want to do business with a company that can't provide basic communication.
