I was fed up with my previous optician as I always felt rushed and nothing was ever explained to me and as I am a fairly nervous patient I dreaded going. Since 2023 I have been going to Martin Haynes and what an amazing team!! Amrinder explains everything in detail, puts me at total ease and I never feel rushed. Ashley and Cassandra are so helpful and friendly and again I feel totally at ease and nothing is too much trouble for them. Thank-you.

Have been with Martin Haynes optician’s as far back as I can remember!
This company makes you feel comfortable and with the most up to date equipment you only get the best treatment possible.
Nothing is too much trouble, just great opticians and receptionists.

Amazing optician. I needed a mecs test after an accident and I was worried after consulting another optician who had a scaremongering attitude, so I cancelled the appointment with them and visited Martin Haynes. They are friendly, put me at ease, thorough .and very efficient. Honestly, I couldn't have received better treatment. Thank you all, you're brilliant.

Came here following a conversation on the phone with Cassandra about Essilor’s new Varilux XR series lens. Of the opticians I had previously contacted she was the only one who could explain the process of finding the right lenses. The whole team at Martin Haynes were thorough from start to finish. Better by far than any other experience of opticians I have had in over 50 years and numerous countries.

The whole team excel in every area. From reception to initial consultation, testing, ordering, fitting, communication and aftercare they are peerless.

Service at its best, with plenty of time for customers, great knowledge, experience and facilities, patience, kindness and good humour.

If you have eye care needs in the Shrewsbury area and beyond, my experiences make it clear there is no competition. I won’t be looking elsewhere and you would be doing yourself a disservice by even considering doing so..

Having previously used a national high street opticians of late I had become unhappy with the suitability and fit of the glasses. I did the rounds of several opticians in the area and then found Martin Haynes. Such an excellent, friendly service where staff take time to assess your requirements, ensure suitability of lenses and there is no pressure. Very pleased - I can honestly say that they are the best frames and varifocal lenses I have ever had. Thank you!
