Bought myself a Maeco Arete One 10l…
Bought myself a Maeco Arete One 10l dehumidifier for my small studio flat around 30m² ish. Here's my opinion after 3 months of ownership:
Looks/Aesthetics = 10/10 Discreet and clearly well designed with a great blend of functionality yet sleek aesthetic.
Cost = 7/10 (admittedly it is a large investment to begin with but the value i have noticed over 3 months is incredible).
Effectiveness 9/10 = for my relatively small drafty cold studio this dehumidifier has been a lifesaver, dries clothes within the same day, no heating required. Night mode is bliss. And the app connection allows me to easily check in on my flat and change settings remotely. However I do notice my flat isn't able to reach a humidity lower than 55% (likely because the windows are drafty), although this is still a great achievement as usually it would be 70%+ in the flat.
Air Purification 8/10 = After 3 months of ownership i have just changed the HEPA 13 filter on my unit, I didn't realise just how grey and discoloured the filter had gotten until I compared it with a new one, really impressed at the captured dirt and pollutants. My only issue is a lack of charcoal + HEPA combo and I'd love the product to have some kind of sensor to tell me the air quality in the app, perhaps in a future iteration of their arete line?.
Summary:
Maecos Arete One range are a great investment for someone seeking a discreet, well designed dehumidifier. It's running costs are minimal and I love the app connection, some customisability with custom manual fan speed in app and air quality monitoring would be ideal but the three presets work well too. I expect this product to last several years from my experience so far and the warranty is a plus! Looking forward to seeing the next iteration in the Maeco range and seeing their tech.
The Maeco Arete One range is a buy.
