I’ve been using Lumin skin products for maybe six months now and the products have been outstanding. I have combination skin and sensitive skin, so I have to be VERY careful around what I use on my face. I use their face masks (that fit a larger face of a male), the eye patches (which feel so great after use), the dark circle defence balm (which has absolutely helped to decrease the constant dark circles under my eyes), and the wrinkle defence serum (which I use on my forehead and eyes). I love their products which arrive really quickly, are formulated for men’s skin and absolutely work!

I returned at a cost to myself but lost the receipt, I just assumed when they received my parcel they would refund me as all my account details were enclosed, I hadn’t even opened the box when it arrived !! Poor customer service followed, please do not get lured in just because it’s a product aimed at men and you feel it’ll be better suited, this is just clever marketing !!

This company uses a really predatory subscription model.
I saw a free trial pack and was keen to try it.
It then put me in a subscription and cancelling it was a pain.
I needed to request a link via email to take me to the subscription page, I needed to scroll down to the very bottom to "cancel subscription" in small black text when everything else is large and highlighted.
From there there's 5 pages convincing me to stay.
I can't subscribe until I have tried the product so for now I just wanted to see what it's like before getting into a subscription.
Then I receive an email that you have cancelled my trial order.
If your product is not good enough that people will stay subscribed willingly, then I don't trust your product.

The packaging is quite nice and ultimately these feel like luxury products. I am no skincare expert, but ultimately I feel like the products are fine, nothing special that you can't buy at a typical drugstore or grocery store. This in and of itself would not merit the review that I'm leaving. I would probably have given three, or maybe four stars otherwise.
Now, before I begin, I must admit that most of this information is likely written in the fine print/lengthy cancellation policy. This was, admittedly, my error. However, I imagine that many others like me will not read all the legalese before purchasing this product. Hence the following:
-I initially signed up for the "free"trial (you do have to pay for shipping, but that much is clear up front).
-This trial signs you up for a recurring subscription. Nothing out of the ordinary, but slightly crafty in my opinion, and something that I missed when I signed up for the trial. I would prefer to opt-in for a subscription after taking my time to try the product. For reference: my trial arrive on May 12th. On May 25th, less than two weeks after I received my trial (which I had not even finished), Lumin automatically signed me up for a full recurring subscription and charged my card for over $80.
-The same day I received the order confirmation email and upon seeing the order charge, I logged into my account in an attempt to cancel.
-This is the primary reason for my 2-star review: Lumin does not let you cancel the order, claiming that even a second after an order has been placed, it cannot be cancelled due to "warehouse logistics." The only way to get a refund beyond this point is to wait for the package to arrive to your door, at which point you mail the unopened package back to Lumin.
-This would be frustrating in any circumstance, but I was even more annoyed to find out when I placed the return order that Lumin does not pay for return shipping. The customer is wholly responsible for that cost (which, in my case, cost 1/4 of the price of the package).
Needless to say, a somewhat infuriating online ordering experience. I've never ordered anything that can't be canceled, under normal circumstances (e.g. not rush shipping, hasn't left the warehouse yet, etc.), the same day that it was ordered. And to make the customer pay for return shipping after the fact... Well frankly, a slap in the face.
Be cautious when ordering this free trial, the conditions and logistics are atypical, it would seem.
