Damn them

Despite knowing we have dogs, and a sign on the gate, and being asked to make sure the gate is closed, the provider left the gate unlocked, and I found my dog in ditch about two miles away, she’s now in her second day in the vet hospital

She’ll live, but will Lawn Guru cover the $4000 vet bill?

We regret using this company

We regret using this company. They were told to use a specific gate to enter the back yard, but it wasn't wide enough for their equipment, so they BROKE the fence to get the mower in and then only mowed the center of the yard...

If I could give this company negative…

If I could give this company negative stars I would. They are scammers and frauds. Customer service is horrible. This company is nothing but time wasting and frustration. The mowers mowed my neighbors lawn instead of mine multiple times and of course charged me for it. Took days to correct the problem because the customer service is horrendous. Then also had the nerve to up the price then charge an additional $24 because they said my yard was over grown. Keep in mind these are the same morons that mowed my lawn. I can assure you they are NOT worth $70-$80 a month.

Customer service is terrible

Customer service is terrible , there guy came and literally did nothing and left my yard door open which could’ve resulted in my dog getting injured or lost. I do not recommend you use this service I couldn’t even speak to a person and then they tried to offfer me a coupon via a text.

BAIT AND SWITCH

BAIT AND SWITCH. Created an account on their website and was quoted $34.65 on February 5th, in which I agreed to and entered my credit card information. On March 12th, I logged in to begin service and my quote jumped 152% to $52.84!!!? (I’m glad I took screen shots…) Their response? “After the billing team reviewed costs and demand, we had to make a significant price increase this year to keep up with rising gas and labor expenses while maintaining our quality! This also applies to existing customers we already have”

So Lawn Guru raised ALL of their customers in my area by 152%? Talk about a mass exodus. I feel like I dodged a bullet! Could you imagine them starting my service for 1 mow and then “oops, just kidding”. Do yourself a favor. Find a more reputable company. It’s a hard-working industry with plenty of options in your neighborhood.

never received copies of the agreement…

never received copies of the agreement from this company after requesting it 6 time nothing called over and over requesting this. The first time the grass was scheduled to be cut no one came and no one emailed us to let us know so we called talked to 3 people all were rude and made statements like we are allowed to talk to you we are the sales line we have no live customer service line period. So now we are trying to find out if and when our grass will be cut been told by Wednesday and honestly we doubt they even show up. So we have nothing to show how much we agreed to pay they have our account number to withdraw from and they are not showing up and are rude to us because we are asking for what we have a right to i.e. a copy of the agreement and for them to show up WAY TO MUCH TO ASK FOR FROM THESE PEOPLE BEWARE!!!!

Wasted $90 on snow removal and salt

Paid $90 for snow removal and salt, was left with so much snow on the driveway that it was still difficult to drive my vehicle on it. Barely sprinkled salt despite that being $25 of the cost. Walkways remained unsafe to walk on. It took more than a week to resolve - I had to email and text photos and follow up multiple times before finally receiving a partial refund. I would never recommend LawnGuru based on the poor customer service and lack of accountability for the vendors they hire.

My Experience Has Been Excellent

I have had a very different experience. I have an illness so I can't get outside and mow the lawn or take care of snow as it nearly kills me to try and do this. The lawn professional was awesome. Always on time excluding one time there was an issue and he let me know right away and returned to do the service as soon as he could. The lawn always looked great and I was complimented multiple times. I will be asking for his services again this coming summer. The snow service has been on time and I was also texted as soon as they thought they may activate the snow service twice so I was advised to skip if I did not want back-to-back service. Everytime I have skipped it has been honored. They shovel and salt the walkway. They plow out the driveway with just a dusting left. They have removed a significant amount of ice. The customer service has also been great. If someone was late or hadn't showed, which is a rarity, they would send me someone right away, even if it was short notice or later in the day. My only complaint is the app which has been alot wonky. The providers on the actual app get 5 star ratings for their work. I am sorry that so many people have had a different experience. All I can report is how I have been treated. This service has really saved my butt.

HOW CAN A COMPANY BE THIS BAD??

How can a snow removal service be this Abysmal? I have no idea how a company could be so incompetent or untimely. They don’t plow the driveway for days until after it’s done snowing, last time they came to the house 4 days after it snowed and realized the snow had hardened and they couldn’t do anything to clean it. Stupid and terrible service. Do not recommend, do not hire them for snow removal.

cannot be trusted to do timely or quality service - or even to be honest

This company purports to provide quality lawn and snow removal service. I can't speak to the lawn service, but snow removal service is TERRIBLE. BTW, 93% of reviews for this company are 1 out of 5, so this is a universal opinion.
You can't rely on timely or high quality snow removal. In the end, one of their providers tried to defraud by claiming he had finished service, complete with a phony photo from a previous job. So I canceled my account.
Bottom line: they cannot be trusted to do timely or quality service - or even to be honest

I wish I had read these reviews before…

I wish I had read these reviews before I signed up to have LawnGuru provide snow removal service. Although LG says you have a chance to SKIP a service because it's not necessary, immediately after it began snowing they activated a snow removal service which I was unable to cancel. While I was waiting for the 4-hour storm to finish to see whether a plowing was needed, I received word from a contractor that he was on his way to my house to perform the service. Within a few minutes, I directly texted the contractor to not bother coming out. How am I supposed to determine whether or not a service is needed until the storm ends?! As it turned out, only a little over 1 in of snow fell. It appears to me that customer service for LawnGuru is more interested in generating revenue than it is in satisfying customers. Don't see them lasting very long with this model. 😢😢

Where has customer service gone?

Wow, just wow. I’ve had my father’s lawn taken care of using Lawn Guru for almost 6 months now, have spent I know over $1K with them for service and tips and today, I stopped their service. As my father’s house is having work done in the interior, I simply gave the lawn person my number as well as my sisters should we need to call to have the contractors move their vehicles so the lawn could be serviced. I guess I violated some terms of their service as I gave the provider my phone number. Like I have all day to constantly be checking their app. I wish I could copy and paste their response to my discontinuing their service after all this time and money spent, you would be appalled. They could care less that I canceled, basically told me bye bye and went about their day. Talk about service standards at companies going down the tubes these days, they exemplify this. You make your own decision as to who to use but be ready to be disappointed and shocked if you ever have to deal with their customer service people. Have a great day everyone!

I'm extremely disappointed with the subpar service provided by Lawn Guru for my mother's yard maintenance.

Despite being paid in full, their service providers, demonstrated negligence and disregard for her property.

*Damages and Issues:*

- Ran over two fruit trees, despite my mother having shown him where she had just planted them,they are now dead.

- Broke a glass stepping stone, showing reckless disregard for her belongings.

- Sent misleading photos of another house, falsely claiming completion.

- Failed to return for scheduled follow-up work.

*Poor Communication:*

- Misled my friend into paying for incomplete services.

- Lack of transparency and accountability.

- Abandoned the job without notice or explanation.

The worst service I have ever…

The worst service I have ever experienced.
Liared to me that they used 40L of weed killer and it was charged on the invoice. Overcharged on lawndressing. They are liars, fraudsters and thieves. STAY AWAY IF NOT RUN. Pity I can't give -5.

This company is a joke

This company is a joke. Don't waste your time with them. The customer service people are arrogant. The service providers accept the job and cancel it on the day of service. It happened multiple times. This company is going to go under soon. Pathetic people and service.

DO NOT USE THEM

DO NOT USE THEM! If I could give them a negative 5 I would. First of all they keep charging my card and not cutting the lawn. The one time they did cut the grass it was the worst I had ever seen. Clumps of cut grass all over the yard. Inconsistent cut all the way around. Our neighborhood is nice fresh lawns except ours. It is embarassing!!
