Hired for apartment contract, dissapointed
We hired this law firm to help with buying our apartment which is a classic procedure in Denmark. We arranged a meeting were they went through our buying contract and are supposed to proof-read it, let us know about any issues etc. During the meeting the advisor we talked to refused to speak in English because they hadn't prepared to speak English, which is absolutely absurd considering this is Denmark and everyone speaks English, and also, we payed them 6000 kr. for a few hours of work! She even told me that I would have to pay extra were she to prepare to hold the meeting in English. That is an absolute terrible experience. If you are Danish, all is good and I am sure you will be fine considering they can only talk to you in Danish. If you are foreign, good luck.

At no point did you raise an objection to this arrangement.
After the meeting, we provided an English summary of the key points and translated the essential parts of the documentation, ensuring you had all critical material in both Danish and English.
