Highly recommend the roadside assist option as when I accidentally punctured a tyre, their attendant Matheus was so efficient and got me up and running in under an hour!
Highly recommend for anyone looking to book a car in Madeira!

Our experience with Klass Wagen Lisbon…
Our experience with Klass Wagen Lisbon was absolutely unacceptable - from start to finish.
Upon arrival, we were aggressively pressured by employee Ruben Correia to purchase extra insurance. He falsely claimed that we would be charged €50–€200 in penalties even if nothing happened to the car. When we tried to clarify, Ruben refused to answer our direct questions, gave irrelevant and misleading responses, and ultimately admitted that his claims contradicted the written contract. It felt like a deliberate attempt to mislead us.
Worse still, we weren’t the only ones being mistreated. During both pickup and return, we witnessed several other customers arguing with Ruben, including a physical altercation, clearly caused by frustration with his behavior.
Additionally, the car we were given broke down the very next day, displaying an engine malfunction and becoming immobilized. We called Klass Wagen immediately. It then took over 7 hours to receive a replacement vehicle. During this time, we were left stranded in 39°C heat, without any shade, food, or water. Despite explaining this multiple times, we were told we were not allowed to leave the vehicle, as if our basic safety and wellbeing were irrelevant to them.
We were never offered any form of compensation for this entire ordeal - not for the aggressive upselling, the misinformation, the unsafe breakdown situation, or the massive disruption to our travel plans.This was not just bad service - it was negligent, stressful, and deeply disrespectful. Klass Wagen Lisbon is a company to be avoided at all costs.

Very disappointing and unprofessional service.
We booked a car through Rentalcars.com for pickup at Klass Wagen Lisbon Airport. When we arrived late at night with our family, Mr. Ruben Correia informed us that changing the main driver was not possible, even though Rentalcars customer support contacted the branch to try to assist.
Throughout the interaction, he was consistently rude, raised his voice several times, and refused to provide any support or alternative solutions—other than offering an extremely expensive insurance package as the only option to release the vehicle.
We spent hours trying to find other arrangements in the middle of the night but eventually had no choice but to purchase the extra insurance simply to be able to leave.
This experience caused significant stress and inconvenience. I do not recommend Klass Wagen to anyone expecting clear communication or respectful treatment.

Please note that, as per our rental policy, changing the name of the main driver is only possible when requested until maximum 48h before the pick up time, and must be processed through the original booking platform—in this case, Rentalcars.com. Unfortunately, last-minute changes at the counter are not permitted.
We regret if this was not clearly communicated beforehand or if our team did not provide the level of courtesy and assistance expected. Please be assured that we are addressing this matter internally to reinforce professionalism and improve customer communication.
