Kit's Awful Renewal Policy

Kit renews subscriptions without renewal reminders. If you miss the cancelation window, there is no help for you. While their customer service response is polite, there is a one size fits all policy in regard to helping you. There is ALWAYS a solution to aiding a customer who approaches a situation with a solution - in this case I suggested a prorated cost to myself over and above the few days I was over the cancelation notice. Kit simply told me I had to pay for my yearly subscription and I was out of luck. You have lots of other choices out there in what Kit does. Use them, not Kit. Cannot recommend. Update: after posting this review and sending a scathing customer experience to Kit, someone replied and my account was suddenly prorated and I was given a refund. Not sure why it had to come to that - but here we are.

Since my business didn't grow like I…

**Update- Mark responded back and said there is now a feature to delete it myself but I told him I couldn't log in to which he checked and said, "it is showing deleted on our end"**

Since my business didn't grow like I expected, I decided to close my account (because honestly, I am just not good at composing emails for business anyways). So I sent a message to support on March 24, 2025 asking for them to close my account permanently. After chatting with 2 people, the last person told me that he will pass it on to the legal department (which is wild to me) and to give it 30 days to be done. Today is June 16, 2025 and it is still active.

I contacted them (replied back to the last email from Mark) with a follow up since I never heard back from anyone and I got the same run around but this time it was "Sam" the bot.

Mind you, I have the free plan so why does a person have to go through all of this just to close an account? I have read reviews where people have said it was better when it was just Convert Kit.

These companies are getting too AI happy. Gah!

Strong warning to anyone considering…

Strong warning to anyone considering using Kit.com
For no apparent reason they just cancelled my account and "can't disclose the reasoning...".
Don't pay them, don't put in the work, you might just get cancelled anytime, without warning.

Avoid Kit… Shared IPs and Clueless Support

I joined Kit expecting reliable email delivery. Instead, my emails landed in spam folders due to their shared IPs being blacklisted. Despite my confirmed opt-in lists and low complaint rates, support insisted the issue was with my list quality. They failed to recognize that the problem stemmed from their infrastructure, not my practices.
When I presented evidence, they dismissed it and offered no solution—no dedicated IP, no better send pool. Their inability to differentiate between user error and systemic issues is alarming.
If you value your sender reputation, look elsewhere

Unfair Platform – Refused Payout After Account Cancellation

I had a very disappointing experience with ConvertKit (Kit.com). I signed up to sell digital products and followed all the steps they asked. After investing time and money into setting up and running ads, they suddenly decided my business "wasn’t the right fit" and canceled my account without warning.

To make things worse, they refused to release the money I earned from my sales, telling me my customers would need to personally request refunds. This is completely unacceptable and feels like a scam. I delivered my services, and now I'm being denied the payout I rightfully earned.

If you're a freelancer or small business owner, I strongly advise staying away. They are not transparent, and their support shows no accountability. Very disappointing.

KIT: Another company that wants to control and monetize your growth.

Hoping to evaluate Kit.com during their 14-day free trial, I migrated my existing email list from Mailchimp. The trial became instantly pointless. As soon as my contacts were imported, my account was flagged and restricted, blocking all email sending capabilities while they supposedly verified my list's origin.

I promptly submitted the requested proof, including screenshots showing the Mailchimp source. However, this made no difference. My account remains locked down, deep into the trial period.

So guess I'm stuck in automated customer service hell. Repetitive emails and chat pop-ups keep demanding the same verification details I provided days ago. It feels like my submissions are ignored. This endless loop means the 14-day trial clock is ticking down on an account I cannot even use.

Based on this critical failure – wasting the trial period with an impossible verification process – I cannot recommend Kit.com.

From Reliable to Regrettable: My Experience with Kit (Formerly ConvertKit)

I've been using Kit (formerly ConvertKit) for two years, but lately, their service seems to be declining.

Recently, I encountered a glitch that mysteriously erased one of my email templates despite the platform showing it was saved. I recorded my screen and shared the issue with their support team.

The customer service rep, "Jose," responded by attributing the problem to my browser's behavior, which struck me as odd since I’ve generally had positive experiences with Kit. I pointed out that my video clearly showed the project was saved before the glitch, yet all the changes disappeared afterward.

In his follow-up, "Jose" doubled down, claiming to "completely understand" my frustration while reiterating that the browser was to blame, all in the same breath.

I put "Jose" in quotes because it's pretty obvious AI is involved. The sentence structure gave it away. Funny enough, I just received another response from him. This time, the tone was noticeably different: he actually apologized, and the email read like it was written by a human being.

If you're on the fence about using Kit, do yourself a favor and choose another company.

1-Star Review: Kit is Unreliable & Has Terrible Support – Avoid for Serious Business Use

I strongly do not recommend Kit for any business that values reliability and responsive support. Their approval process is an absolute disaster—slow, opaque, and handled primarily by AI bots that loop you in frustrating, repetitive responses.

Despite providing all requested information, I was met with delays, vague responses, and AI-generated excuses instead of real solutions. When I pressed for an actual human response, my ticket was closed without resolution and I was told to "just wait." This is unacceptable for any business trying to set up essential email marketing.

If you ever run into an issue with Kit, good luck getting help. Their support is either nonexistent or deliberately designed to stall you. If this is how they treat customers during onboarding, imagine what happens if you have a serious issue down the line.

🔴 Bottom Line: Kit is unreliable, slow, and not a serious business solution. If you care about your time, support quality, and business continuity, look elsewhere. Many better platforms exist—ones that actually prioritize their users. I’m switching to a real email provider that values my business.

KIT Unable to Support Newbies

As a new comer to online business and using KIT which I found to at first be a cool platform for email marketing, I was looking for a one-stop shop to have my business. In order to get information about being able to use Affiliate Marketing Links under one Domain, I asked a question in IM Customer Chat. Can I use affiliate links within the domain in Kit. I got an answer from IRENE - to understand my question better... I provided an example of what I would be using. This got escalated to another team. Please note that I did not start an Email Market Campaign as of yet. I got an email from a Vynz this morning totally canceling my account,... what got me cancel, a Cryptic Question that I answered based off the question of... Here is the email I was sent:

Hello Shameka!

Vynz here, happy to help!

To confirm, do you want to add affiliate marketing contents on your emails here? On a scale of 1-100%, what percentage of affiliate marketing are you looking to add to your content here at Kit?

Thank you

Vynz

Kit

The email and question was misleading to say the least, after I read the guidelines more thoroughly I got to the bullet point 2/3rds ways down of Prohibited Use of Kit, they they don't allow 100% use of affiliate links which could of been explained to me 16 email responses back, and if they reviewed my account more thoroughly instead of judging me, they would have seen that I never used the account in any way that would Prohibit me from using KIT, again I was just getting started. Unfortunate to be judged by that , but a hard lesson learned that as a beginner to read everything before asking a question that could get you ex-communicated just because you ask for help.
I had a very terrible experience with Kit (Convert Kit) and unfortunately was denied account access to their services because I asked about how to use affiliate marketing links on their site! If they reviewed my entire account they would have seen that it was just an inquiry and I did nothing to go against their guidelines. As someone new to the online business space I was pretty devastated to be treated like this.

Worst PLatform & Customer Experience Ever!

KIT.com is by far the most frustrating platform I’ve dealt with. Their customer service is a nightmare—they keep asking the same questions repeatedly, wasting time instead of providing solutions. The campaign approval process is ridiculously slow due to their over-the-top scrutiny of subscriber data, making it nearly impossible to run anything on time. It feels like they go out of their way to delay and complicate things. If you value efficiency, avoid KIT.com at all costs! Very Bad platform !

Cant even make ONE sequence for free!

You can no longer create one sequence for free. They had a great platform named ConvertKit end now they degenerated into Kit they are not giving us basic features anymore unless you pay. Nobody is paying 15 dollars for a basic email sequence when they are barely starting to rack up their first email list subscribers. It makes sense. They used to understand this, but now they got greedy asf. I REPEAT: ABSOLUTELY NOBODY is paying 15 dollars for a basic email sequence when they are barely starting to rack up their first email list subscribers.
