Regret Choosing This Platform
The biggest regret of my life is signing up with Kartra. Full of bugs. Broken features. Dishonest facebook group. They delete questions and posts.
They disable key features, like one-click upsells, which are critical to our business.
The page builder is buggy, the automation is broken, and the features are unreliable.
We're actively looking for a way to move our business away from this awful system.
Their Facebook group deletes any comments that mention these issues.
Total scammers.

After six years of using Kartra, I strongly advise against it. The technical support is extremely poor — responses take far too long, and the live chat can leave you waiting for days without ever being activated. It's incredibly frustrating. The platform itself is not user-friendly either. I currently have unresolved issues that have been pending for over four months. I'm now actively exploring two alternatives to make the switch as soon as possible.

I was really excited at first but then quickly saw the cracks, only too late.
Support can take up to a week to answer even simple questions. Only way to get immediate replies is to complain in the Facebook group, otherwise you are ignored. One year later, and support is still slow. For $500/m, I want immediate support.
With serious issues, you are left sitting as your business suffocates.
Page builder is so slow and laggy, it's painful to use. Updating a simple thing that should take 90 seconds will take at least 5 to 10 minutes. Tried different browsers and computers, makes no difference.
Automations do NOT work. I can have 1000 leads go through an automation with reasonable open rates and zero engagement.
Send the exact same email as a broadcast to the same list and get a tonne of engagement. It makes no sense.
Support can't help, surprise, surprise.
If you post anything in the Facebook group, your post is deleted. They have no interest in hearing genuine feedback.
I've wasted 100s of hours and easily lost close to $100,000 in revenue.

Promising at first, but bound to the platform and costly in the long run.
Initially I thought Kartra was promising at first to help grow my brand, but discovered quickly that you are bound to the platform and very costly in the long run. What happens after investing months of work building and using Kartra’s features if you were to ever leave? The answer. You lose all your work and investments, which is extremely restrictive and trapping to express it kindly. It lacks freedom to transition. If I create forms for my sites, I should be able to retain ownership of those forms I create and not lose access to them if I ever decide to leave or freeze the platform. There are plenty of other all-in-one platforms that offer better customer service, features and feature flexibility with fewer limitations, all at a MUCH lower investment.

It's ALMOST a great platform, but too many issues
It's ALMOST a great platform. First, I've been using it for a long time to make a 6-figure passive income, but each step is challenging.
Genesis Digital, the creators of this, are unresponsive to issues, or at least unresponsive in helpful ways. The user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) are inconsistent, and it's very glitchy.
The same drag and drop features in the page design should be universal to email and other parts. It's like they designed each component, and functionally designed each component, separately with different ideas. DUMB DUMB DUMB!!!
I used to be in UI and UX, and the NUMBER ONE RULE is to make things CONSISTENT!
Their customer service is terrible, with limited hours of midnight to 4am and noon to 4pm PST. And it takes at least a day to respond to tickets, which means it's several days until an issue is resolved— IF it gets resolved. I've been complaining about the same issues for a couple of years AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE, EVER to fix them.
I've belonged to this platform for a long time because of the sheer amount of work I put into building my Membership site, and to recreate it on another platform is almost prohibitively time-consuming, but I'm going to have to do it.
This platform is frustrating, it's not optimized for mobile or tablets, even though I've been suggesting that for the last 3 years, and the customer service, as I've said, really sucks.
I'm going to try Kajabi, which I hear is amazing and has incredible support.

great idea but an expensive guessing game
I love the potential, but I’ve spent thousands of dollars and have not recouped it using this platform yet. It was not intuitive and so many things depended on something else. The new work up is really more of the same. Those who work in it regularly and the logic that someone thought would be resolved by the new format is Not intuitive for someone who literally just figured out how to use the old one.
Frustrating.
I appreciate all the trainings that are provided, but a site map that I could search and work flows written in lists would be helpful so that all the “first” things that must be done before I can do the sequence or uploading everything or even the nomenclature best practices would make this platform better.
and giving ready made templates are not truly helpful as you still have to know the order of things.
I will stay on the platform until I make my money back. Ive gotten better, but still not able to fully use the tool. I've been here for years.
I appreciate the support. The techs are amazing.
but the time it takes to get my questions answered and implemented is too long, still.
Finally, i do not understand why you cannot make a CRM function.

From a functionality perspective Kartra is workable. The biggest issues with Kartra are the following:
1. There are a ton of bugs which is fine. But the technical documentation is severely outdated so fixing bugs is a major issue. If you want to use Kartra you will need a strong full stack developer on your team to fix things. Nothing is current, all the training resources are completely out of date by like 2-3 years.
2. They need to fix their UX. Things that should take 1-2 steps take 3-5 steps. Once you get to know the interface, thats fine. However, the friction point of knowing that it’s overly complex to learn anything new is irritating and is a huge deterrent.
3. Customer service is super nice, but completely helpless. They literally have no answers for anything that isn’t fully generic. And it takes days for a response. Marketers are spending $1000’s a day on paid media so it’s ideal to have quick and helpful CS to aid so that you don't waste 5-10k on simple things because it took 3 days to respond. And they just refer you to 3rd party Kartra experts eho charge $200 an hour. Why not have in house experts? Its bizarre.
4. Pixel tracking is a nightmare if you are using anything other than Facebook/Google. Especially when it comes to quiz lead tracking. You simply cannot track lead conversions without paying a serious full stack dev to be able to see the code that is causing issues.
-A few positives are the email deliverability is solid.
- It has a good amount of features.
-Site load speed is quick.
Overall, Kartra just feels like a project that started with a ton of passion, and then the founders got bored and moved on to something else and left it with limited resources to slowly die.
On paper it’s the only ESP that has pretty much everything. But when you get inside, it’s disappointing to the point that you want to just go with the Frankenstein method and just put together a bunch of different softwares to meet your needs.
Which defeats the purpose of an all in one.

Terrible Support
If Kartra weren’t so buggy and their support weren’t so slow and unhelpful, it could potentially be a good product. However, their primary focus seems to be taking your money for a product that doesn’t work as advertised. (Avoid paying for an annual subscription!)
I encountered issues with their order pages not processing correctly on a book funnel over a year ago. Despite my repeated requests, they couldn’t fix the problem and kept instructing me to clear my cache as a solution. After spending six months building the funnel and membership site, all my hard work was wasted, as I couldn’t run ads to start my business.
Fast forward a year, and I tried to get the funnel working again. Unfortunately, I encountered the same issues when testing the pages. This time, Kartra admitted there was a technical fault and assured me they’d fix it—but nothing happened. In fact, the issue worsened, with the two-step order form no longer working on top of the original problem. Despite two weeks of back-and-forth, they offered no real assistance in troubleshooting the issue. When I expressed my frustration and asked for help, their response was to tell me, once again, to clear my cache, which did nothing.
THEN, SHOCKINGLY, THEY DELETED ALL OF MY SUPPORT TICKETS IN THE SUPPORT PORTAL, ERASING ANY EVIDENCE OF MY COMPLAINTS AND THEIR RESPONSES. THIS IS HOW KARTRA “SUPPORTS” ITS USERS: THEY CHARGE A COSTLY ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION FOR FAULTY SOFTWARE, FAIL TO RESOLVE TECHNICAL ISSUES, AND THEN ERASE EVIDENCE OF THEIR LACK OF SUPPORT.
I would strongly recommend considering other software that works as advertised and has a support team that actually assists users. Otherwise, you’re risking your time, money, and business.
Just responding to your message below. I have reached out over 10 time on the matter. Zero help to solve the matter. Just generic reply like yours. I feel like a totally ripped off and unvalued customer.

I have been with Kartra for several years and overall I recommend it. There are things that frustrate me as well which is why 4/5 stars. I like that I can house my video and assets there and build out portals for my courses without buying another software! The tagging system is pretty good...I wish they did a tutorial on how to do that well as people are joining so the program doesn't become a mess. When I try to use Kartra on my iPad it does not work well. I often lose work because it does not autosave like other platforms do (and I was used to from being on a different platform). If a photo isn't turned the right direction, no way to change that, have to reload it. There are things like that that are frustrating and happen regularly that suck up time. But overall, I have been satisfied with Kartra, and I have been in 4 different systems so I have a sense of how they should work.
