Best online shopping experience
Kudos have saved me tons of $ since I joined them over 2 years ago. I don't need to struggle to check the credit card that gives the most reward, Kudos does that for me automatically. I don't need to remember to click anywhere, as soon as I sign in to shop Kudos appears. This is one of the best things that has helped my online shopping experience.

The app is cool
The app is cool, but if you are using it, I recommend you check the information they display because it is mostly incorrect. On more than half of the payments I made where Kudos was involved, I realized that the information they show is completely off.
For example:
1. I switched my Butcherbox to my amex gold 2 months after Kudos showed me I would get 4X point on it. This is false because Butcherbox falls in the meal kit category and not the groceries category, meaning it gets 1X. I discovered this now...
2. On several purchases I've made, they track the wrong card being used. For ex, I recently ordered coffee from Blue Bottle Coffee, and they've marked it as paid with my Amex blue cash preferred at 6% cashback. I used my Capital one card for that order and the cashback amount is also not correct.
Sure, the app is nice, but it kind of makes me question how my card info is used if over half of the data displayed to me directly is wrong...

Regarding the points you raised:
1. You make a valid point about merchant category codes (MCCs) and how they can vary across payment networks for the same merchant. In the case of ButcherBox, it is coded differently by Visa and Amex, which leads to different earnings depending on which card you use at checkout. Going forward, we're actively working on solutions to provide more transparency into MCC mappings and account for potential discrepancies. Ingesting transaction data directly from users will also help us refine our recommendation engine even more - that feature is coming soon!
2. For the Blue Bottle Coffee transaction, there may have been an issue with our autofill feature not triggering properly. This likely caused our system to default to the general recommendation rather than your preferred card. Could you please confirm if you did attempt to use the autofill option for that purchase? Just wow. A must have product.
Just wow. I was definitely being lazy and losing money every time I shopped. I just used whatever card I could find, but now I can literally see the difference on my statements, I've 4X'd my rewards easy! I have been looking for a tool to help me choose the right card to use online since Wallaby went away years ago. This Chrome extension builds on Wallaby by storing my credit cards and doing the autofill, which is really useful. It does a good job of this and they have excellent support.
