We found Inca Expert Travel on the internet and like most things on the internet, we were a little reticent at first. We worked with Maria and soon after corresponding with her, that reticence faded. She is knowledgeable and has a real insight for what makes a good trip. She worked with us to put together the perfect itinerary for us with great guides, amazing locations and fabulous hotels. She did all of the work which left us to go on the trip and not worry about any of the details. I would highly recommend Inca Expert Travel and specifically, Maria if you're thinking of traveling to Peru. Excellent!

Inca travels did a great job of curating our trip to Peru with the requirements we had. Conversations with Debbie were smooth and easy and she shared our itinerary and walked us through the plan. All arrangements from airports to hotels, excursions, cruises, guides were done perfectly. All pickup and drop offs and excursions were executed on time and guides were excellent in all places. Hotels booked, restaurant recommendations were all spot on for what we were looking for. So, in short a well curated and well executed trip of 12 days across the Amazon, Cusco, Machu Pichu and Lima. We made some last minute changes to the itinerary and that was handled smoothly as well. So, in all a great vacation and experience thanks to Inca travels and Debbie.

We felt the trip was well planned and executed. We were met at every point by good, smart guides. The car and driver were very clean and nice and we were given great service by the driver and guide throughout the trip.

We liked all of the sites that we visited and felt that Inca Experts did a great job planning how to best use our 6 days. We appreciated that they arranged for us to hike early in the morning when it was less crowded and we saw two circuits of Machu Picchu on one day so to maximize our time.

The hotels that we stayed at were clean, well located and very pleasant. Good value for the price.

We felt that our time was well spent on each day of our trip and everyone we worked with was helpful, pleasant and experienced. We would gladly recommend Inca Experts to friends.

We had an AMAZING time! And it all started with the best travel advisor in the world .... Silvia!!! She was so patient with our changes and requests ... and her carefully tailored itinerary was amazing! Freddy and Peter were also amazing, as our tour guides extraordinaire! Freddy helped us change our itinerary as needed when my husband (temporarily) got altitude sickness and went above and beyond anything we could expect to help make sure he could rejoin a group he had a ticket with in order to see Machu Picchu. The kindness, clarity, and thoroughness of detail and direction given by all of the Inca Experts was again, beyond all of our expectations. 24 hour a day on call help, information, and service. Our hotels were gorgeous and perfect ... our tours fun and informative ... and the travel set up was detailed in every way. We were guided through every step, with time to enjoy everything! Thank you again, Silvia and the entire Inca Expert team, for the trip of a lifetime ... You are an earth angel! And ... Our experience working with Inca Expert Travel, especially our agent Leila Dancuart was Great. Leila put together a tour that not only hit every important detail of our wish list for visiting the Amazon & Peru but actually went above and beyond our expectations! "Great" really doesn't describe our experiences, to quote our travel companion Alyssa it was " magical, mysterious and majestic" although these were her word describing Macchu Picchu- truly they are perfect words for our complete tour.

I had a wonderful experience through this agency. The planning process was extremely easy and Sylvia made the experience simple and painless. My family had an amazing time touring the city of Cusco and The Sacred Valley under the guidance of our tour guide Jonathan who was very well informed and kind to each of us. 1) Silvia with Inca expert travel was excellent in tailoring our trip into something that was exactly what we wanted. She was easy to work with, prompt and very knowledgeable. We had great communication throughout the planning process. Everything was taken care of and I wouldn’t change a thing.

2) we can’t say enough about Johnathan our tour guide ( Cusco, sacred valley and ollantaytombo) He was very punctual, knowledgeable , funny, kind and helped us learn all the history of Cusco as well the culture of Peru. He also gave us advice on local restaurants, markets and shopping. He went above and beyond to make this trip a one of a kind experience. My children thoroughly enjoyed his company and are looking forward to going back in the future. I would highly recommend Johnathan and Inca expert travel to anyone wanting to travel to Peru.
3) Jaime our rainbow mountain tour guide was outstanding! Definitely a special shout out to him for his kindness and support throughout the hike and altitude sickness..

The trip Inca Expert made for us in Peru was amazing. I wouldn't change a thing. Communication and planning was very clear and with fast replies. They were very helpful and attentive throughout the trip too. My friend left her passport in the hotel room and we were already at the airport over 1 hour away and they were able to help with that too. All the tours and recommendations they gave us were excellent.

This was such a wonderful trip! Inca travel experts did all the work of organizing the hotels, travel, and tours and did a great job. It made the trip really easy and enjoyable. Our guides were all excellent, and the accommodations were lovely. They made sure we knew what to expect and took a lot of the stress and worry out of planning the trip. I would recommend them to anyone. I hope we can return to Peru again someday soon and I will definitely use Inca Travel Experts again.

We had an excellent trip with Inca Expert Travel in June 2025.

We visited Lima, Tambopata, Cusco, Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu all in 10 days. Our guides in all locations were knowledgeable, friendly and very accommodating. The hotels booked for us were very comfortable and well located - in particular the Pullman hotel in Miraflores, Lima.

Transfers between locations were generally seamless, although the traffic in our final day in Cusco caused a delay in pick-up time for our airport transfer. Thankfully, this was handled by the 24-hour support.

The itinerary was well constructed with all communication being timely, clear and supportive. Thank you Debbie for creating the perfect schedule - we always had something to look forward to during our wonderful stay.

The level of service and organization from Inca Expert was outstanding! There wasn't a moment during the trip that we weren't extremely well attended to! We also enjoyed each of our guides, all of whom were from Peru and had wonderful insights to share. The hotels were as nice as described and everything went as planned!

Leila planned a very specific trip to Peru: to Lima including a private tour of one of the oldest privately owned homes in the city, to the Amazon deep into Tambopata National Park, and to the absolutely magical city of Cusco and the surrounding ancient sights. Leila was so flexible when we had to change plans at the last second. Every representative from the airport greeter to the drivers to the tour guides were amazing. We speak very, very little Spanish so she made sure to help us feel comfortable traveling around her incredible country. Thank you Leila and your entire team.

We used the services of Inca Expert Travel to visit Peru in June 2025. As noted by others, the entire end to end experience was seamless and awesome. We visited Lima, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Cusco. We stayed at Belmond hotels and also experienced the wonderful Hiram Bingham train round trip (Ollantaytambo-Aguas Calientes-Cusco). The Belmond hospitality was top-notch. Sanctuary lodge and their staff at Machu Picchu are the best- I hope Belmond continues to operate this hotel.

Our travel advisor Melissa was super helpful and guided us all along ever since we contacted her almost a year ago. The entire one week trip was executed per our requirements. Inca Expert travel has recruited well-educated guides as well as super courteous drivers. The hand off between the Lima team and Cusco team was super smooth- we kept in constant touch with both teams via WhatsApp messaging. All guides and drivers were genuinely welcoming, caring and loved their job. This is one of the major advantages of booking with Inca Expert Travel. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Javier, Sandra, Angel, Leo, Jimmy and others. My 12 year old daughter and I also got to practice our Spanish with them!

One piece of advice for travelers to Lima. Expect a long line at immigration if multiple international flights arrive at the same time. When we landed (Friday around 10:20 pm), there were two other flights from US that had landed at the same time. It took us 2.5 hours to get through the immigration line. It was almost 2 am on Saturday when we reached our hotel!

With all these accolades, there is still one area of improvement needed (reason for taking away 1 star).
1. Our advisor Melissa was out of office between Jan-April 2025. However, we were not informed of this absence. I almost panicked when e-mails were unanswered and the phone calls were not going through. I finally caught hold of Joe, who was supposed to fill in for Melissa. My advise- please set-up out of office replies. As a courtesy, it is also important to let the clients know when an advisor is expected to be out for a longer duration.
2. I somehow found out about the issue between Sanctuary Lodge and local government and reached out to Joe. Thankfully, a back up lodge was booked (Sumaq). I would have preferred my advisor to pro-actively let me know about such things.
3. We were physically not fit enough to climb Wayna Picchu. However, this detail was not discussed during our planning. It wasn't a big deal since we still enjoyed Circuit number 3 on the ground.
4. Baggage transfer rules for Hiram Bingham train could have been more clearly explained. As a matter of fact, they do accommodate cabin sized bags and backpacks on the train and also seamlessly transfer those bags to your hotel in Aguas Calientes or Machu Picchu. We ended up packing overnight clothes in our backpack and left the cabin bags with our local Inca Expert team for transfer to Cusco (they did a fabulous job in transferring our bags). It would have been nice to take our cabin bags with us on the train and not go through extra step of separating clothes, medicine and other things just for 1 night.

Silvia was so patient with the changes I made during the planning process and I thoroughly appreciated her detail orientation. They provided flawless service from pickups to guides to hotel bookings. We will definitely recommend them to friends considering a trip to Peru.

Our advisor, Leila, was incredible! She listened to our interests, budget, and dates and came up with an itinerary that was incredible for our family of four! She thoroughly and personally vetted every hotel, tour, methods of transportation and city guides. At every stop we were met by either a member of the Inca Expert Travel Team or by someone who had been briefed on our specific itinerary. We felt so safe in the hands of Inca Expert Travel!

Great communication, and really took care of us. The Circuit we booked for Machu Picchu got closed due to landslides, so Inca Expert Travel arranged another circuit for us, kept us informed of what was going on, and made sure we were satisfied with our options. They also picked us up at our hotel in Cusco, arranged the transfer to the train station (2 hour ride), arranged the train ticket, had our guide meet us and escort us to the hotel … white glove service. And our guide was terrific, gave us the history of the site, took pictures as often as we wanted, recommended when to move into certain spots for views / pictures due to the clouds, and generally made sure we were taken care of on the trip. Really happy with the overall experience.
