Hurricane Creek Federal Credit Union was founded in May 1957 by the employees of Reynolds Aluminum Company, embracing the philosophy of "people helping people." Originally named Reynolds Hurricane Creek Federal Credit Union, it was later renamed Hurricane Creek Employees Federal Credit Union. In the spring of 1983, Brooks Federal Credit Union merged into Hurricane Creek Employees FCU, strengthening its foundation. The credit union continued to grow, moving into its current location at 1114 Ferguson Drive in Benton, Arkansas, in July 2000. A year later, in November 2001, it adopted its current name, Hurricane Creek Federal Credit Union. In the spring of 2009, the credit union expanded its field of membership from select employer groups to a community-based model, allowing anyone who lives, works, or worships in Saline County to join. Today, Hurricane Creek Federal Credit Union proudly serves over 5,000 members and manages assets exceeding $60 million, remaining committed to providing financial solutions that empower its members and community.
