Faulty washing machine under warranty

When I rang to report a fault and request an engineer the operator was very helpful and I was told an engineer would be with me within the day. I had an engineer at my home 4 hours after the call, he rang in advance to ensure I was home. He repaired the problem and explained what caused it and also advised how to avoid a repeat of it Very friendly & professional Absolute 5 star customer service

This is how customer should be done!

Great Service

Had to use customer service department twice in the last couple of months and have to say the service and engineers Christian and Ger who called were exceptional , professional helpful friendly and polite and arrived within the timeframe agreed

Excellent customer service experience…

Excellent customer service experience with Hotpoint Ireland.
Spoke with a lovely agent in the call centre Monday 16th June. We discussed what was wrong with our tumble dryer and a call-out was necessary. An appointment was arranged for the next day. Appointment was confirmed by text and email which was very reassuring.
The technician arrived on time. He was professional, efficient and friendly. Our issue was fixed quickly and he cleaned up afterwards.

Customer service

Bought a washing machine a year ago a silent one over 900 euro and tried to call the customer care about it, I was pushed from person to person about 5 times and had to repeat everything over and over, it's like dealing with kindergarten. 50 minutes on the phone. I thought eir was bad but this company just beat them hands down.

2 years old fridge freezer paid over…

2 years old fridge freezer paid over €600 faulty from the start leaking and water dispenser broken didn’t fix as was happy fridge was working as I need my fridge it’s a everyday hee of course fridge froze over waste of a lot of food sent out 3 people to fix the same problem 3 times waste of money and time to be told your fridge is actually not repairable and I should buy a new one all by myself thanks for nothing hot point I’m now fridgeless and foodless I’m actually suicidal over it the customer service just sent me over the edge

Our 15 month old tumble drier had an…

Our 15 month old tumble drier had an electrical fault. Rang yesterday, repair man has come and gone by 9:00 AM this morning. Drier repaired, no charge because still within the warranty period. Great service!

Double Oven Cooker HDM67V8D2CX Changing Fan Noise

Hotpoint Double Fan Oven Cooker (HDM67V8D2CX) arrived with both fans defective.

The upper fan was very noisy - so I ran it in for 10's of hours at max. and min. temperature - it quietened down.

The lower fan was very quiet - then it started making a loud noise after ~7 min. This was repeatable and did not stop after run-in.

Hotpoint service were very helpful, and though lower oven fan changes made differences - they did not fully solve problem. A short time later the original effect of a throbbing noise after a few minutes was back.

Ultimately at third visit repairman tightened fan support plate and this helped - still somewhat noisy but acceptable.

Hotpoint send SMS msg. day before with arrival time scheduled to be between 6.00am - 10.00pm!!! - not very helpful for those that wish to leave the house. Cannot respond to these messages. They also send redundant messages.

A message is also sent on day of arrival ~20-30min before visit.

Apart from this their service is well organised and repairmen proficient.

The fan noise is an issue that Hotpoint need to address at the design/manufacturing stage.
