Poor design on self closing gate hinge
The self closing gate hinge is a terrible product. Good in theory, but the force required to open it causes the hinge attached to the post to rotate out of alignment which prevents the gate from closing. No matter how tight I ratcheted down the post hinge, it would not hold for more than a few open/close cycles. I switched back to the basic hinge just so the gate can function.

They care to make sure you order what you intend
The first order I made took a little longer to process because they wanted to make sure I knew what I was ordering and that it wasn't a mistake, 6x6 post caps aren't very popular and I had 30 of them. They called me and verified I knew what I was ordering. Once that was confirmed they shipped promptly. Being in Southeast Michigan the shipping didn't take too long, next day actually.
The second order, in the comment section, I was able to write a description, explaining I knew what I was ordering and that made the process even faster. They didn't need to call me to verify as I already knew they would.
I will say the website could be updated. Trying to search for what I wanted didn't prove easy. A Google search of the web is how I found it as their site, the search bar, doesn't really recognize too many words. The results it returns are either everything or nothing. A more streamlined and intuitive site would make the shopping experience better, for sure.
If I could post photos of the caps I got, I would. I think their prices are fair and supporting independent business is always the worth it.

Good selection of specialty hardware
Hoover has a wide selection of specialty fence hardware that's hard to find elsewhere. They had just what we needed and shipped it out fast. It was a bit ambiguous that the hinges we bought came in sets of two but the pricing shown was only for one. Other than that, the item is great.

I was looking for a specific fence…
I was looking for a specific fence panel that I had stumbled across. The manufacturer had changed ownership three times in three years. Hoover Fence was aware of this and was able to help me with my order.
Scott, with customer support, was in contact with me making sure my order was indeed correct. Letting me know what would be required of me to receive the order as well as answering all of my questions. Specs, costs etc.
There was one exception. The documents I had seen said the panels were 72" wide, they were in fact, 70". I wasn't using the manufacturer's posts which may've played a role in this, but I recall Scott telling me he would recommend a 4x6 vs, a 4x4 post which would've made up this difference.
In summary, we made it work. The panels were delivered w/o any problems in three weeks. My fence is now up. They are beautiful and I am happy..
