We love our new Forno French door refrigerator! It has a sleek, modern look that fits perfectly in our kitchen. The layout is very practical — the French doors make it easy to organize items, and the two freezer drawers give plenty of storage. It runs quietly and keeps everything at the right temperature. Highly recommend if you’re looking for style, space, and functionality at a great price!

Absolutely horrible customer service

Absolutely horrible customer service. The 800# is a joke, with no real time information and the statement that “we will reach out and get an update. It’s obviously a call center in India that knows nothing.

Emailing the order team has been a tad bit better, but very vague information and very non-committal on any updates.

My order has been in place since mid-May now, and specifically ordered items “in-stock”. I’ve only received 2 out of 7 items so far and this will soon delay my kitchen remodel.

Horrible company to work with if you have issues.

100% Reliable + Communication is a Breeze!!

I looked everywhere and contacted everyone in my small city for resources to appliances I needed for my new home build with no results. I was feeling defeated. I found Home Outlet Direct, a Canadian Company online and took a chance. They are 100% reliable and I found all the products I was looking for!

I initially received an email from the team immediately after making an order. I contacted them back as I knew I would have delivery issues, as I am in the bush. They responded immediately within business hours, and they were 100% on top of the delivery and assisted with the issue. They also stayed within communication with me and emailed me to follow up to be sure the products were not damaged and guaranteed a replacement immediately if damaged. The product was received in perfect condition. We kept in touch, and this process made me fell 100% confident in the purchase!! They are an amazing company, and they are also cheaper than anyone else!! I will be purchasing more from them while I build my home. Thanks to all the staff at Home Outlet Direct!! Fantastic Service!!!

Price Gouging and Poor Customer Service

I had an awful experience with Home Outlet Direct. I was about to place an order for a Forno appliance when I noticed the price had increased significantly -just a few weeks after I first saw it. When I reached out, they flat-out refused to honor the original price, blaming “inflation” as the reason. It honestly feels like they’re taking advantage of customers.

To make matters worse, the rep I spoke with - Kim, I think - kept cutting me off and told me, “Prices change, that’s just how it is,” which felt incredibly dismissive. I’d stay far away from this company. There are better options out there that don’t treat their customers like this.

Don't stand behind their product

Our Forno range came without some of the parts and 2 broken large burners (we didn't know the burners were broken until the installer was trying to hook them up). Home Outlet Direct said the parts weren't available, so they would send a new unit. The only problem was, they would not give us a credit for the installation charge we already paid. They said "I'm afraid Forno could not cover any installation fee, this is one reason we discourage the assembly and installation of the unit." How am I supposed to know if the unit is defective until I get it installed? What if I get a new unit and it is broken? Then I'm out another installation fee and another trip fee from an installer and still have a broken range.

I would not recommend this company (or Forno), they do not stand behind the products they are selling.

Edit: The manager Sal called me and tried to help me resolve the issue. It would have been much more helpful if the employees went to the managers to resolve issues when they come up, I probably would have gotten a replacement with this company. He offered me a different stove, but the lead time was 2-3 weeks. I could order the same stove from Lowes and have it in 5 days with installation (HOD doesn't have options for that). I proceeded with a refund and purchased elsewhere, but I appreciated the manager reaching out.

BEWARE

BEWARE! This company sold me a kitchen refrigerator that has been nothing but problems they will not return for me. My family is stuck with inoperable refrigerator for a week now for the second time.

When Thor sent the wrong item I had to…

When Thor sent the wrong item I had to purchase through Amazon, because at the time, Thor was not selling directly to the public, there was a link I could click on that directed me to Home Outlet. Micaela was my contact at this company, and I told her about the problem, and when Amazon confirmed the refund for the wrong purchase, I would be in contact with her again. Amazon did refund, and I placed an order for the correct item, a 30" elec cooktop, with Micaela. She gave me a price quote, (slightly lower than the previous cost through Amazon), which I was delighted with, and placed the order. She said it would take about 2 wks for delivery, but the item was delivered quicker than that. I installed the item, read the short operating directions, and was very happy with the purchase. Throughout this whole ordeal, Micaela was always on top of things and was exceptionally helpful. I could not be happier, and should an occasion come again where I am in need of an appliance, would not hesitate to contact Home Outlet Direct.

My new favorite faucet (and online store)

I grew tired of my Moen.. Replacing cartridges, leaking, always worrying I was going to strip something because most of it was simply plastic with either a thin bent piece of sheet metal over it, or plastic made to look like metal. Either way, it was a lot like many things in our culture; flashy on the outside, totally hollow and empty underneath (Cardi B, I'm looking at you).

The Zline faucet arrived two days ago. I finally had an opportunity to unbox it... Everything... and I mean *Everything* about this faucet screams "custom" and "high-end". It's packaged like it contains the Shroud of Turin. Once unboxed it became apparent how much care was taken in its design. The spray handle weighs a good 1.5-2.0 pounds, as most of it is either brass or stainless steel. Installation was a breeze. Unscrewed my old Moen from my quartz countertop. Replaced it with the Van Gogh, screwed the lock washer down, connected my hot and cold lines. Bam. Finished.

I will say that the handle leaked initially-- upon closer inspection, I discovered I made an error during instalaltion. I fixed it now, it's dry as a bone.

Just spend the extra money and buy something that was designed to work, not to appease the EPA, or some executive's attempt to cut costs so he can meet 2nd quarter's earnings expectations at the cost of selling something that works the way things should work, but rarely ever do. Go ahead... Buy something that works. Home Outlet Direct was wonderful and easy to purchase from. Buy from them. You won't regret it.
