Dave spent nearly two hours with me going over our kitchen layout, pointing out where we could save money without sacrificing quality. We ended up mixing their premium plywood boxes with solid wood fronts, and honestly? You'd never know these weren't fully custom.

The delivery was so well organized - every box clearly labeled, all the hardware neatly sorted in separate bags. My husband and I assembled them over a long weekend (with plenty of coffee breaks), and the instructions were actually helpful for once. That scratch-resistant finish has already survived my 3-year-old's 'art projects' and my husband's aggressive pan storage habits.

Six months later, what I appreciate most are the little things:

Let me tell you our cabinet saga: First order from a big online retailer arrived damaged. Second batch from a local supplier had misaligned doors. By the time we found HomeCabinets, I was ready to give up. But Dave? Absolute legend.

He personally walked us through every spec, explaining why their construction would hold up better than what we'd tried before. The solid wood fronts have this beautiful grain that looks custom, and the scratch-resistant finish has already survived my husband's enthusiastic knife sharpening incidents.

Dave hooked us up with a full kitchen's worth of cabinets for less than 4k. Assembled the mover two weekends(with winebreaks) and they look like we spent 15k.

Our beautiful standard white shaker cabinets arrived on day 8 after placing the order. Tracking on the shipment was updated often so we knew exactly what was happening every step of the way. Some of the boxes had damage and we were nervous what we would find inside, but everything was in perfect condition with no damage and ready to assemble. We got to work assembling the next day - our only complaint is that the directions were either not included in the box, of the parts included varied slightly from the instructions. This would be a serious problem for beginners, but we are experienced DIY’ers. Everything we purchased is now assembled and beautiful and of very good quality! We are very pleased as the price was so much better than anything else we looked at and the quality is as good or better than everything offered at the big box stores we shopped! I can’t wait to get them installed! And we are looking forward to the additional phases of converting our kitchen & dining room into one large eat I. Kitchen and replacing all the other cabinetry to match these new beauties!!!

I spent a long long time trying to find an affordable solution for cabinets for my DIY laundry room project. Quotes around my town had me in the range of $5000-7000 for semi-custom cabinets and a four to six week turnaround time.

After searching every inch of the internet, I swear I found a little secret spot in homecabinets.com. I was able to get the exact measurements the semi-custom cabinet makers had drawn up delivered to my house in about a week, for $2500!!

And these are super nice, solid, and beautiful cabinets with thicker wood and nicer finishing than the local places were offering. The website has videos of all the cabinet assembly and super simple directions. Customer service was responsive (even on the weekend) and made a special accommodation for a strange request I had too.

I honestly couldn’t be happier and will now be telling everyone I know about them.

The only drawbacks are the relative lack of color varieties. That said- The frost white was exactly what I needed for my project and matches the sherwin Williams standard frost white trim paint we use to a T.

First of all, I just want to say the delivery was seamless! However, as far as the cabinets themselves, I’m disappointed. We did a big renovation of our basement, involving adding a wet bar with peninsula. I wanted all RTA cabinets as I would build and install myself, and did. I had to order from two different companies to get the cabinet combos I was looking for. HomeCabinets was one and I won’t mention the other, but it was another online company to order from. The difference in quality of cabinets is very notable. The descriptions were essentially the same, so I was expecting the quality of these cabinets to be the same as the other. While not only was the quality not as good, but the cabinets were more expensive through HomeCabinets, making this even more disappointing. The build process seems simple with the instructions given, but if you don’t have prior cabinet building experience and follow the instructions as written, you’ll be in a world of hurt. The paint quality on these is also quite terrible. Any slight touch and it’s chipped or rubs off. I did not have any of these issues with the other company’s cabinets that I also used for this project. I have a feeling we will need to replace these cabinets in the future due to the poor quality. Not a shipping issue/damage from shipment that I could get a replacement or refund. Truly the cabinet quality isn’t there. We will use them for now, but disappointing.

I’m not a contractor, just a regular DIY guy, and I had a friend help me with my kitchen renovation. It took us about a week to prep the kitchen—taking down the old cabinets, assembling the new ones, painting, fixing the ceiling, and putting everything up. The wood was pretty easy to work with, and the plywood was decent, turning out really well.
