This might be the worst travel…
This might be the worst travel insurance company ever. I have gotten their insurance several times on longer trip previously without having to make a claim. So when I set out on a 5 month long trip to southeast asia I bought their insurance again. When I was visiting Hoi An, Vietnam I had a medical emergency. I fainted and was taken to a nearby hospital. It turned out that I had very high blood pressure so they took me in to the hospital. Then I fainted again and they took me to the IC unit. I got medication and was signed out after one day. I had to pay the hospital right away ($800) and contacted Hey Mondo to make a claim. I called heyMondo and they told me to make the claim through their App which I did. I took photos of all the documentation from the hospital. They then passed me onto a company called Administrative concepts that were supposed to process it. They sent me a claim form as a pdf file which I was suppused to print, fill out and then scan and send them. Very arcane I must say but I did it. Several weeks later they came back to me and said they needed documentation. I thought it was strange since I had already uploaded everything on the app. So I sent the images of the medical report receipts etc in a return e-mail. Then they came back again and said they required my whole itinerary for my 5 month long trip as well as proof that I had paid the hospital fees with credit card reciepts. I called them later and spoke to a person and she said they would process it. Many e-mails and phone calls later I still haven=t received any money from them and no explanation what is taking so long. As of July 3, 2025 I still havent received anything and I am still waiting to hear why it is taking so long. Note that Hey Mondo is just a stupid brand name. It is owned by the big companies Clements insurances and Starr insurance group. If you ever come across these companies stay away. They are a total fraud.
