Having been a loyal customer for quite a while I have noticed my delivery times have been getting later in the day and recently I did not recieve my order at all ! With no compensation sadly … I love the convenience and recipes so feel reluctant to cancel but as prices creep up and reliability not so great I am looking at other options sadly.

The Most Ignorant & Stubborn Company Ever.

Several weeks ago HelloFresh took money from my account without consent. I made several complaints and left several accurate reviews about their 'cut n paste' attitude to customer care. I also made them a promise.
Return my £57 or I will continue to leave accurate reviews every week until such time I am refunded. For several weeks HelloFresh claimed it was impossible to refund any money due to the computer systems they used.
Then, after several more weeks of accurate reviews, they suddenly were able to offer me a refund of £28.
I explained that the money was not the issue. It was the principle. I don't believe HelloFresh knows the meaning of that word because they evidently have no principles.
So, true to my word I am leaving another accurate review of HelloFresh who have chosen to continue to ignore my request. All this would be resolved if they would simply return the full amount. We are going through all of this for what is now a deficit of just £29. The word 'Stubborn' springs to mind.

Subscription started automatically by logging in

I seen an advert online about new meals on Hello Fresh and decided to have a look, when I first got taken onto the website it gave me the option to log in as I already had an account, unbeknown to myself that logging in would automatically start a weekly subscription to the meal boxes. I did not select any meals or place any orders.

I received an email today (8th July) to say my Hello Fresh box would be delivered, I contacted customer services to let them know I had not ordered any meals and then checked my bank account to find the money had already been taken. The customer service agent I spoke to was very rude and kept sending the same copied and pasted message over and over.

They did advise that if I contacted them 5 days prior to the delivery date then I could have been able to cancel the order however I only logged into my account on the 3rd of July so would not have had enough time to cancel the delivery even if I was aware of it.

From reading previous reviews I am not the first person this (or similar) has happened to and it comes across as a very sneaky way for the company to take money from people who do not wish to purchase anything from Hello Fresh.

I would appreciate being refunded for this as I was completely unaware that the subscription was started without my knowledge or consent.

Terrible service

First time using hello fresh, order was meant to arrive on Monday and never turned up. Tracker showed it was still at the hub Tuesday afternoon, rung hello fresh and they advised it was at the wrong hub and wouldn't be delivered! Noone had bothered to update me. Hadn't done my food shop for the week. Never using again

Deliveries have been on time. Some recipes don't have a very long use by date which changes order we would like to have. Some portions provided are small for 2 people the more weeks you get into regular deliveries or ingredients replaced with unsuitable substitutes & very few recipes include onions. Could do with meat rather than "mince" options for some of the curries. Each week can feel a bit "samey", could do with a bit more variety without having to pay extra for the more tastier/different options.

We received our first box with out any problems because it was free and the second box never arrived and we paid for that box, so be advised don’t order anything from them because they are very quick to take your money and they don’t deliver your second box to you

Have had 2 box's and to say it's been poor quality would be understating it chicken in 1st box was bits of breast not diced and veg was way past it date just rubbish they're answer £9 credit saying it'good will good will means they are not at fault well you ARE 2nd box again veg I had to replace some avocado soft ready to go of but the 2 breast off chicken opened it and the smell was vile I had to bin so who ever is supplying needs sacked now I do it every second week making sure I opted out so I gets an email saying my box was coming Monday but I have not ordered one phones they were adamant I ordered but I hadn't meals I wouldn't order so gesture off good will 20 pounds back but only to be used on account so £40 down and meals I don't want so opened all bags same old story veg going off not fresh they need to change name to Notsofresh and customer service very unprofessional

Be aware off HelloFresh

“Dear HelloFresh”,

I’m writing to express my frustration and disappointment with your service.

What started as a convenient way to plan meals has turned into a complete headache.

Your customer service has been unhelpful, your processes feel intentionally confusing, and it seems like your system is set up to make it difficult for people to cancel or manage their subscriptions. Whether it’s constant issues with skipped deliveries still showing up, unclear billing, or hidden steps to canceling — it feels like you’re trying to take advantage of customers rather than provide a good experience.

This isn’t just inconvenient — it feels shady. I'm tired of wasting time trying to fix problems that shouldn’t happen in the first place. I expect a full resolution and refund for any charges made in error, and I’d like clear confirmation that my account is fully cancelled.

Please do better. You’ve lost my trust, hence now my subscription is cancelled and definitely won’t be back.

I would advise everyone to do the same and not get fooled by these absolute clowns.

Avoid at all costs!

Despite cancelling future orders, Hello Fresh charged me and sent a box that was not ordered. The food selected can’t be eaten by my family and they have refused to provide a refund for this box. I am now left £50 out of pocket with a box of food that won’t feed my family. I didn’t receive any email notifications or any correspondence to advise an order was on the way. I’ve been given generic feedback from customer service about checking the top bar of my app! However, as I’ve tried to explain to them, I had cancelled my subscription, so had no need to be on the app, let alone checking for orders I hadn’t made.

I really enjoyed cooking some different…

I really enjoyed cooking some different meals for the family.
I love that you can pause and not have a delivery every week.
I love how you get a recipe card to keep , so you can remake things.
I do have to say I find the prices rather high though… but to be able to get everything you need for that meal in one box, sure does save tramping around the supermarkets,
It would be nice to just order 1 box a week instead of two .
