We've been using our feeder for about 6 months now and it has been wonderful. We are so happy with our purchase!

Super impressed with the performance of SoCool and the customer service I received. I was initially hesitant to purchase the feeder since it was more expensive than competitors on the market. I reached out to Happy Llama Tech to ask some questions about the feeder functionality and warranty before purchasing. They candidly answered all my questions. I also experienced some issues while ordering, and they resolved the problem quickly.

When the feeder arrived, I took temperature readings with a temperature sensor sitting in the feeder bowl and with an instant thermometer reading of food left in the feeder. Both temperature measurements consistently read below 40F even when the room temperature was about 80F.

I got the SoCool with the stainless steel inserts so it's very easy to clean. I also appreciate some other design choices the team has made that makes using this feeder easy. The lid twist and latches in place so my food-motivated cat can't open it and it makes the lid easily removable for cleaning. I also appreciate the hexagonal center design because it's easy to line up and place the bowl back.

SoCool is operated by a third party app with basic functionality. That can be a pro and a con depending on what you need to program. The feeder has a sharp beep when it rotates which is the minor gripe I have about the product.

I recommend this product if you have the budget for it. The user experience is smooth and the cooling functionality is better than a competitor's I have tried.

The feeder works perfectly - keeps the food cold and rotates fresh meals as scheduled. After the first couple meals, Molly now runs to eat when she hears it beep. It will make 2-3 day trips away easy - no need to hire someone to come in twice/day to feed our girl, who eats only wet food.

The machine that I received had clearly been used and returned. The stainless steel trays were dirty and had fingerprints and water spots all over them. One of the lids has sharpie marks on it. The packaging had human hair all over inside of it which was really gross. The filters for the machine were also dirty and needed to be cleaned. For the price, you’d expect that a unit would show up in ready to use condition but this required a deep clean. We were in a pinch so decided to keep the unit since it works but we’re definitely left wondering if it was originally returned because it was defective.

The setup is smooth, refrigeration is excellent. My cats are still getting used to the bowl vs. Shallow bowls, sometimes hard for them to get the food, waiting for stainless steel bowl plates to get in stock. Highly recommend the feeders so far

I had trouble submitting my pre-order for the feeder, and Leslie was super helpful, friendly, responsive, and communicative in resolving my issue. I reached out twice since receiving the SoCool feeders (once via email about estimated restock times for the stainless steel inserts and again on Facebook about potential device updates/changes). Happy Llama Tech consistently responds within a few hours to emails, Facebook posts, messages, and questions. They are eager to help and to make things right by their customers! This is easily the most communicative crowdfunded campaign I've had the pleasure to support. I was impressed by their frequent updates, fast response times, transparency throughout the process, and how they made every step very easy and digestible for their customers. About a week before receiving my feeders, Happy Llama Tech sent out emails and posted Facebook updates with a walkthrough video and troubleshooting guide on how to unbox, set up, and maintain the feeder. I love that the company anticipated and addressed customer needs before we even had a chance to run into them!

As for the SoCool device itself, it's solid quality. The power cable is very long so you have more freedom in where to set it up. It's built for cat's comfort to reduce whisker fatigue and neck strain with wide bowls and adjustable feet. It has filters to prevent the fans from getting clogged with dust and fur. For extra security, the lid twists AND locks into place, so your pets can't break in for extra food. Clean-up is a breeze and takes 2 minutes tops. The app to control the feeders is fast, navigable, user-friendly, and easily shared with others. With extra stainless steel inserts (that all come with easy-to-use lids!), I can meal prep on the weekends (keeping extra portions in the fridge/freezer until needed) and greatly simplify my cats' complicated feeding routines for myself or a petsitter. I no longer rush home to feed the cats or schedule around their feeding times. My cats caterwaul less, feel more secure, are more affectionate, and seem much happier now with more consistent and reliable feedings. Compared to other automatic cat feeders for wet food (even those from much larger brands), nothing else comes close. The SoCool feeder is well worth the investment.

I saw this product mentioned by someone online around a year ago, and I immediately supported it on Indiegogo. It took a while for this feeder to finally be released to the public, but it was worth the wait. It’s quiet, reliably delivers food at the times I’ve set in the convenient app, keeps the food cold and fresh, and it keeps persistent food thieves out which is a problem I had with ice pack wet food feeders. It’s honestly a dream come true, as in before this feeder was created, I was trying to figure out a way to make my own so my cat could have wet food throughout my 10+ hour workday. Without relying on ice packs that didn’t stay cold nearly as long as I needed them to. This company also has stellar customer service and implement feedback that consumers give in the Facebook group. I first received a defective unit, and immediately emailed the company and promptly received a response. After doing some basic trouble shooting with no success, they sent me a return label and we got it shipped out the next day, and a replacement on the way. The replacement works perfectly and I couldn’t be happier, the company also let me know what was wrong with the first unit I received. Overall, I’m very happy I bought this feeder and I don’t have to stress about feeding my cat an appropriate diet anymore

I can't say enough good things about Happy Llama's SoCool feeder. I had to have rotator cuff and bicep surgery recently which has made opening cat food cans very difficult. In addition, my cat was diagnosed with small cell lymphoma last year so he has to eat a special prescription wet food diet otherwise I would have tried to find an alternative. Being able to have 6 feedings without worrying how I was going to open the food one handed has been a life saver. Now my neighbor just comes over once a week to help me out, load up the machine, hit the button and go! The inserts are a must have too! I wish I had bought more initially. This has been a total game changer for me - it's so refreshing to have a reliable feeder where I don't have to change ice packs or worry about my guys' prescription food going bad or drying out. Easy to use device and personal assistance from the owner and engineer. My cat took to it right away. This is the only (also the best) option for raw food automatic feeders that is more of a mini-fridge. The food is fresh for 12+ hours, which is a picky-cat win.

I love this wet food feeder!!!!!!!

This product is the first true refrigerated wet food feeder on the market. up till now there has only been ones that have either ice packs or cooling that does not get to 40F which means the food can go bad. This allows me to setup food in advance and know that my babies will get fresh food every time the feeding time comes around

I am a month into using 2 feeders for my cats. They work perfectly, are quiet, and keeps the food at a great temperature. I feed raw so the temperature is important. I get an alert on my phone when it dispenses a meal so I know they were fed when I am away. My girls are fed 3X a day and it is great not being attached to my kitchen for every meal anymore!
